That would be telling....:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's now 1:30 am so I'm off to bed now so "Goodnight" to everyone from the UK.

Oh well... what are (or have) you having for supper tonight? I'm having left overs plus I made some angle hair pasta because I was in the mood.

Gotta get one of the girls from school now.... Alicia got the other one because she wanted to go to the car wash with Mommy...

Cheers!

We had Chicken and Dumplings -- a recipe that cooks int he crockpot... It tasted good but, the dumplings (which are only cooked the last 30 min) turned to mush real quick! LOL!

Crash, I thought of you and the whole Star Wars thing... Dh & 9ds are watching a Stars War show on the History channel. I heard dh say * that is the same thing that happened during the Nuremberg trials.* And he went into quite an explaination for our Elvis (our 9ds). It made me curious as to what they were watching so intently... then he tells me *Star Wars on the History channel.* :confused3

So dinner last nite at Buca de Peppa (or what-ever) was actually pretty good. Except for this twichy sensation I had in my stomach for a-while. <chuckles> I know it's just pasta - which is like $0.50 a box on sale. And a nice bottle of Ragu and Trader Joes' turkey balls would only cost me $5 to serve 4.... and the meal a de Buccas' ran just over $30 after adjustment for the $10 off coupon. But it did taste different from my Ragu and turkey balls.

Anyone know WHAT they do to make it have that taste? Is it the cheese? Is it olive oil? WHat is it? We had a futi de mare linguine and 2 kids' orders of spaghetti and meatball (1). No drinks except what came with the kids' meals. I liked it - but I could make six batches of TJ turkey balls and pasta for the same money. Maybe more...

If I made a seafood linguine - I can make a huge portion of clam sauce and linguine for under $7... which happens to be one of the only "good" dishes that I make for near scratch.

I have to admit that I refuse to eat tomato sauce from a jar (unless I've made it myself) - on the rare occassion that I get pasta out, it is usually from a family run italian restaurant and I'm sure that the sauce is homemade. Now I will get other sauces (clam, alfredo) out.

Having said this, I have heard from others that one way of "freshening" up jared sauce is to add some fresh herbs (mainly basil and parsley) to boost the flavor. As for meatballs, I use three kinds of meat in mine in addition to the herbs and other ingredients.

Have you seen the latest Rugby results??

Wales were VERY unlucky against Australia and having seen South Africa wipe-out England it reinforces the obvious fact that USA will have no chance of getting anywhere in the World Cup.

In the Sevens today, Wales beat England 22-0 :yay: :cheer2: :yay:

The world rankings however, remain unchanged.

David

David,

Please don't take me wrong. I'm just as unhappy that Wales lost. See, I have to cheer for other countries Rugby teams because USA Rugby still has a long way to go before it can compete with the top ten. I actually root for Wales or Ireland during six nations.

Four options:
1. Drive to the outskirts of town and look for some run-down, dilapidated woodshed type of place with smoke coming out from the back and "BBQ" painted on the side of a slab of driftwood...
2. Go to the center of town, find a street busy with pedestrian traffic and yell out "WHERE IS THE BEST BARBECUE IN THIS TOWN?"...do this at 10am so that the arguments will die down by noon
3. ANYWHERE
4. Corky's as previously mentioned... www.corkysmemphis.com

Your consultation fee is one pound of pulled pork and two slabs of ribs FedEx'ed to my house ;)

Thank you.

If I had a car, option 1 would be it. Some of the best eats I have had were from absolute dives. Option 2 is like asking where the best pizza is here in NJ. So it looks like Corky's is heading to the top of the list. Ribs???? How about a :mickeybar?

Hmmm....

.... I am curious now as to what the connection was between Star Wars and the Nuremberg trials?

Well... maybe I can guess...

... maybe your spouse was referring to Palatine and Hitler as similar in their methods and ascendency? Doing away with democractic mechanisms then eventually being overturned - with the resulting trials??? Or... with consdieration for just your N TRIAL reference maybe it was something else???

Umm, where are Tom and JR today? I can't believe they are missing out on this. I am sure they will be full of advice! :lmao:

I'm sorry, but swabbies don't give sword advice, that's for the wenches....:rotfl:

That's funny. My wife made some comment about only having, umm, relations once every ten years and I said "Well, he's married, so that's probably about right, isn't it?"

And then guys wonder why its once every ten years.... :lmao:

Can you post the picture of your face today with the two black eyes and broken nose, please?

Nah, my wife's response was, 'well, it's a little different when the guy in question is Orlando Bloom'.

LOL! I'm so glad I'm not the only one! :yay:

Of course I have e-mail addresses on just about every service in existence, I think. And the only one I really check is my domain e-mail. The rest are spam buckets I filter for people I want to get messages from.

You know...

... that AOL was cited as having had 1000s of 1000s of their client /customer records sold on the black market by semi-moral hackers! They are semi-moral because they did not sell anything personal (credit cards or birthdate stuff) ... except for the AOL email addresses. The perpetrator whom they caught was cited as having only made a few $100K from resale of the records.

THAT is why when I logged onto my brothers' computer I noted all this porn spam that I politely inquired why he had so much of this on this account? He had no idea... and I said... "yeah... RIGHT".... as in HOW on Earth would they get your address?

Supposedly they've cleaned it up a little - though I'm skeptical. Security bearches like that are SUCH a disappointment.

Here's a link to ONE article on a security breach in 2000. However I recall the BIG security breach at AOL was more recent. http://news.com.com/2100-1023-242034.html

Yeah, but like AOL is the only one who has had this kind of issue. And as you say, it was not like Marshalls/TJMaxx where it was credit card data.

I said it wasn't my primarily email anymore!!!!! In fact, I have two other email addresses, and for that matter AOL is even free now too. I just check the AOL every now and then to see if I got any emails from random people from the past (my best friend from high school emails me about every two years, for example).

Plus, I really like hearing that guy say "You've got mail" even though it is highly gramatically incorrect.
