Todd, I just wanted to drop in 'cause some how I knew you would have pics. I'll try to pop in to see weekend pics. I am behind probably a month in the old thread and I haven't been able to read a thing anywhere. I DID see Pirates this evening AND there were many many times I thought of you and Brack. Hey Brack at one point I did get distracted looking at the Brack actor (yes that is how I think of him) and thinking I liked your mutton chops better. ;) You guys have ruined me for life. There is NO WAY someone should look at Jack Sparrows hands to see what the rings look like. (by the way was that two black what appeared to be thread/rings and another one gold head or something Todd? - I tried to burn it in my memory but thought - oh my that is scary). Enjoy the weekend. I loved the pics, I can only imagine how much wilder it will get.

Okay - don't tell the Captain but I promised my DGS Jack that I would see POTC/AWE w/him in June when I go up to S.F.

But Tom - pirate: Lawyers????? So will that be your costume on Pirate nite on the TOAL??? :rotfl:
Aw come'on.. how's he going to know if you already saw it? You can pretend it's all new to you. :)

I was SO thinking of Brack at one point of the movie also. I wonder if it was the same part you thought about it. LOL

OK maybe so...but there are some real brats out there! ;) :lmao:

I definitely will give you no arguements. I raised a brat(DD)!!!! She did turn out great.

Did you stay until after the credits ????

Thanks I did. DH and I were the only two after the movie!!!:thumbsup2

FOURTEEN :faint:

We're going to watch POTC 2 tomorrow night. Then we'll head down to the drive-in Saturday to see AWE.

I actually ended up doing a total of 16 screens. :headache: There were 9 auditoriums this evening.

Arlington Heights, but live in Bolingbrook. And my daughter goes to preschool in Schaumburg. We're stupid like that.

DH said He can't get on from my computer from home . For some reason it will not let him on. ( I am innocent). As long as you drive through sometime just stop over!!!:thumbsup2 He drives from Schaumburg to Mchenry. When we were first looking at houses we almost moved to Bolingbrook. He was working in Chicago on Wertern and Belmont.

Me too!!!:goodvibes

Make it three for the 90's.:goodvibes

We had walked out and all of a sudden I said OH NO so I went back in DH took the kids out to the car and I waited, and waited, and waited. Had to be the longest credits on a movie in history. Then I recorded it on my cell for DH and a friend that had met us at the theatre.

I never saw sooooooooooo many credits in my life!!!!!!:headache: Worth the wait?:thumbsup2

We just got the best news!!! Angelina has struggled with math class all year, which she does every year, however Angelina's math teacher :teacher: just called to let us know that Angelina has past math for the year.   If she can raise her math grade 4 more points before the end of the year, she will make the Honor Roll for the final marking period this school year, as she currently has 3-A's 2-B's and one C(math).

Angelina will be receiving something very special at the end of this school year, she sure has earned it!!!

Congrats to Angelina. That was a great accomplishment for her. Give me money and I am great in math.:rotfl2:

What a little cutie!!!!!!!!!! She is adorable!!!princess:

 Jerry Bruckheimer just said on TV that there would not be any more POTC's. This was the last one!

Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi MR how ya doin! Will try to attempt chat again. I can't type fast remember!:)

I type about three words a minute and that is not counting spelling mistakes!!!:rotfl2:

I don't know if anyone saw JD on the Early show this am, but the interviewer asked him how hard was it to say goodbye to the CAptain Jack character and he said very hard. It really sounded as if this was the last one.

I hope you are wrong!!!!! :sad2: :sad2:

Aw come'on.. how's he going to know if you already saw it? You can pretend it's all new to you. :)

Shelly,
As DGS Jack will say "it's a tradition" - we saw the first 2 POTC together and I promised him that he we would see the 3rd together. I don't break a promise to my kids/grandkids. Period.

Got back from a poker game at about 1AM. I decided to see if my repo friends were still on the boards... Indeed there were! Well, at least the left coasters were.

We'll after telling them what I was up to tonight it was suggested that we do a Texas Holdem tourney on the Repo.

We were thinking a relatively low stakes game (lets say $20 or $40 buy in). Looking to gauge interest in such an endeavor. PM me if you are interested.

I have to think about how we could logistically hold such a tourney on the boat, but once I see how much demand there is, we can act accordingly.

Clearly we would have to deal with the cash aspects in private and use chips during the actual play (as I am sure the CMs would frown on such a game otherwise).

 Capt Crash!

Your girls sure are growing up fast!

I see you took the train - how was it? I have always wanted to take the train up past Santa Barbara - (that's traveling for me) but DH won't go for it

Anyway, saw your pictures and they are great - nice to see faces again. I feel like its been sooooo long.

Anyway, keep those girls growing and traveling - you are going to be one of those cool parents that takes their girls everywhere - girls will like you but their future husbands might find it hard to keep up with you! :rotfl:

Yeah...

... the train was breezy, smooth and comfortable. The kids were mostly satisfied except it jostled a bit at times - and I left most of the travelin' food in the car by accident - so I bought OJ from the dining car and I found some cheese n crackers in my bag - emergency snacks. Oh, and another passenger overheard my mention of leaving the travel food behind when I was chattin' with the spouse by phone - and she gave us a spare bananna - which was really helpful.

There were power plugs too - however, I left the AC/DC adapter for the DVD player in the OTHER bag - so I relied on battery power - which ran out after 90 minutes. Even so - the girls just looked out the window or read a book each brought along for the ride. We boarded at 7:55 and arrived in Camarillo at 10:20. SO - it was only 2 hours and 25 minutes - it was just about right for a 1st train trip and they want to do it again.

And on the travel intensity for our girls... well... they're just kids now. As they grow older they'll find thier own pace and set of preferences. It's not as if we're flying them around in private jets or super yachts. I think there's lots of room for a boy to sppoil our daughters. Then again, MY spouse and I do not necessarily feel the end game objective is for our girls to find a lifestyle that includes the private yacht or personal jet. Frankly, we place little emphasis on things like that (though I'd take it if it were convenient or offerred to me!). We are reserved in a cat 9 here - and sometimes we've sailed in catagory 11 and 12s (or thier equivulant) with no serious complaints.

Now... I think there IS going to be a bit of a minimum standard which I expect my girls to apply. And what that is will depend on THIER concerns and inclinations. I've heard that daughters who enjoy a good relationship with thier Dads will seek out/demand a similar level of interaction from their boyfriends and spouse. My spouse had better words to describe this - but I imagine you get the idea I'm driving at.

At any rate - I'll conclude with a little confeession... just last nite and again tonight my spouse and I were commenting on how BIG the girls were getting. They ARE indeed growing up - and all too quickly too! sigh.... :confused3

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats to her on the science award! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Now Tom, you do realize that YOU are going to be the one she blames in her therapy sessions!? And to add insult to injury, YOU are going to have to pay the therapist that tells her it's all your fault! :lmao:

peeby_Blame1.gif

So you suppose I might be able to BRIBE the therapist to say what "I" want him/her to say?

Yes, enjoy every minute with the girls, they do grow up way to fast.

WHOA! Back up a second. Do you mean that her tiara is actually DIGITAL? As in, you've been creating some of your computer graphic magic again???
I thought it honestly was real, especially since the boy next to her seems to be "looking" at it!

I know, I just admitted to being duped.

Awwww....

... I wouldn't give it a 2nd thought. And while we;re on the subject - do you suppose the above photo was real or doctored?

potc_002.gif

And not to change the subject - but this evening I saw POTC at teh worlds' end! What fun! However ... it was a bit of a LONG flick!

So - I arrive home tonight after the flick - and Alicia tells me she wants to go to Yosemite - so it looke like we'll be visiting there one of the last 2 weekends in June. Anyone have any recommendations or helpful suggestions on where to stay for a good value and maximum convenience/ideal proximity to the park?

And now I'm gonna go run off to bed - I tired - and tomorrow we're havin' a little lunch and gathering by the pool side - possibly using the toy bumper boat as pictured below:
