Going to Disneyland tomorrow!! :cool1: First time since Janurary, which is really bad for us. If anyone would like pictures of a particular area of DL or California Adventure let us know. Unfortunately we will not have time for pictures of the surrounding area. Will have time for that later. We are eating at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian and will take pictures of that.

Have a great time Roger. Wish we were going!!

Someone stop me from buying this! QUICK!

Clarification: the bikini, not her.

I'm not THAT lonely!

We will take lots of picures Mary. We also have a new video camera that we are all anxious to try at DL. We plan on making our own ride videos for the kids to watch at home.

On the "MY DISNEY CRUISE" page (the first one you get when retrieving your reservation), the itnerary is listed as:

Sunday, August 31, 2008 Castaway Cay
Monday, September 1, 2008 Port Canaveral

But on the "My Cruise Plans Summary" link, its listed as:

Day 9 - Panama Canal - Monday, August 25, 2008
Day 10 - Cartagena - Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Day 11 - At Sea - Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Day 12 - Aruba - Thursday, August 28, 2008
Day 13 - At Sea - Friday, August 29, 2008

Day 15 - Castaway Cay - Sunday, August 31, 2008
Day 16 - Port Canaveral - Monday, September 1, 2008

Guess DCL has some issues on the website to work through.

I believe that this has been wrong since they booked the cruise on 1/31. People were getting confirmations with the wrong port info.

i am glad to know i'm not invisible!! i was really beginning to wonder! i guess i gotta get in here and post a lot more, and i won't get lost in the shuffle!

i wanted to ask if anyone had recently called ho-jo annaheim? i made the call yesterday, and they told me the rate was $111. i thought the group rate was alot lower than that? can the group rate already have gone up? does that even happen? are they able to charge part of the group one rate and then charge others another rate? i wish i wouldn't have procrastinated....i actually didn't think i was procrastinating seeing it's still a very long way off!!!:rotfl2:

I believe that they give a percentage based on the current price. It sounds like they use tiered pricing like DCL does. The first group of rooms goes for the lower price & each tier gets higher.

Turns out some bozo didn't enter the correct salary for my transfer! :scared1: I counteroffered the salary from the initial offer which was accepted. But someone didn't see the new (higher) amount and put that in for the transfer. :headache:  I can only be mad at myself for not following up on that. Anyway, Payroll did their investigation--turns out I'm not the only person this has happened to--and today I got all the monies based on the higher salary retroactive ot the transfer date.

TOAL PAYMENT!!!!!! :cool1:  :cheer2:

As I recall, a few people received confirmation for the Wonder PC cruise.
Not to mention the $4 million quote, which in all fairness did include airfare and insurance.

...and the fat lady just sang.

I'm not the ONLY hockey fan.
Wait! Look, a new family photo!

BTW Tom, the Aces are in the ECHL Conference Finals.
DH is deployed for an exercise the next few weeks. His XO wanted to buy/rent all of this communication equipment to use in the field. DH told him he would authorize it, but only if he could find a way to get the Aces games!

You aren't the only fan, just the one posting here!

Good for the Aces. Wish Trenton was still in it....

Next year they will be the Trenton Devils, an official affilliate:banana:

So does anyone know what they do about the sail away party? Do they have it at the normal time even though the ship isn't leaving, or do they wait until they actually sail away - whatever time that may be?

That would be a bummer to miss it if you have main dining.

Sorry...Captain's Dining!

Yes, the muster was the same time and the Sailaway was at 4:30. They blew the horn but we didn't leave for quite a while. Oh this was in Ft Lauderdale when they didn't leave from PC due to a hurricane.

:sad2:
Not looking good for the NJ Devils

blah, blah, blah hockey

Funny thing about that team. When it was created, one of the coaches at DD rink had coached the Islanders on Power Stroking etc, and was approached to do the same for the new team. But, she was a very religious girl and sought the help of one of the churches to get them to not use the name Devils as she couldn't work for Satan, Well, she lost the fight !

Roger,I don't know if you can answer this or not. I know that at the Hojo, Mimis Cafe is just thru the parking lot, so not a long walk, but since the Candy Cane Inn came up the other night, do you know if this is walkable and how far it is and does it entail walking across the street? This may be a important piece of Info. Thanks if you can.:thumbsup2

Ugh! Nothing good on tv but reruns.Did throw out and shred mucho paper from my paper files. Felt good. The schools must be doing Proms here as many Limos around.School ends I think the 22nd.

The Royal visit was on the evening news here. I'm not a Royalist per se but I enjoy the history and pomp that is around them.

As a fan of occasions when I was 15 I went to London and was able to be outside Buckingham Palace for the wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981.

Also, a few years ago I took the family to London and we were in Trafalgar Square for the celebrations for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.

When I find the photos one day, I'll post one or two.

David

HOW COOL!!!! I remember waking up in the middle of the night to watch the news coverage all day. :goodvibes
