Todd, My DS birthday is on May 25th and he is thankful Disney decided to celebrate his birthday in such an momentous way. And our kids have that day off of school so guess where we will be at 12am.

Three more weeks in the dungeon. The dog to the vets today, for the first time she peed on the floor, sure hates to go to the vets. You'd think they were killing her, it's only cutting the nails.

Tina, so sorry to head about Dante and yes I can relate when it comes to knee problems. I hope he starts feeling better real soon. I know Brooke must be besides herself. Here's more for Brooke.

Dante just came home about 30 min. ago. The vet thought Dante would recover better by being with Mom. His whole hind leg is completly shaved. He is sleeping and a bit groggy, Brooke is doing better also.

The favorite of my ST seems to be "Wicked Awesome".

We're sorry to hear of the accident. May I offer supportive sympathy and a little encouragement? I understand what it's like when a lot of things seem aligned "inconveniently" (having been "there" before - as I'm sure others have been too) ...

Alas .... Sometimes things have a way of "working out"... and after the Vet visit and more time to resolve the situation fully - we may find things are more manageable then we may suspect. Time and a resiliant attitude may speed the healing process - or at least cover all alternatives throughly?

Tina I don't pay until I absolutely have to. I know it is easier for some to make payments & I'm not knocking anyone who does that, but I like to hold on to my money as long as I can.

Brooke is taking very good care of him. Actually she is watching him sleep. I liked it when I made payments for our last cruise. Since this one is so much more..............I know I want it paid for before we go and not on credit. Can you guess what everyone will be getting for gifts for the next year? Disney gift cards.

I just showed my DD that I now have Verandah Man saying for serious & she informed that I have it wrong. It's "Are you for cereal?" Geez I'm so old I can't even get their sayings right.

For the past month our ST has said she wasn't going to the high school JR.-SR. prom on May 18th. This afternoon, our ST announces she was asked to go to the prom and that she needs a new dress, new shoes, a hair appointment made, a fingernail appointment made, and reserve a limo. My reply was, "OK, go out in the backyard." She looked puzzled and asked, "Why?" To which I replied, "So you can pick some more $$$$ off the tree." Needless to say, she didn't see any humor in that. Nor, did she like it when I said, "You won't be going anywhere, if your mother and I don't meet who you are planning on going with, first." I'm also at a disadvantage this time, the boy is not from our town, so I don't know anything about the family either. This ST of mine is getting slick..............

Hi Everyone!

I'm afraid I have been MIA for well over a month or so ... I'm afraid that life just got out of hand for a while. I suspect that I will not EVER be able to ketchup now!

Thanks to everyone for the b-day wishes for DS. I showed him a few this morning and he thought they were really cool. He is 8 today. We had his Pirate Party on Sunday with 14 other kids - the weather was great and I think they all had a great time. My MIL organized all the games/activities for the kids. The most popular was a game called "bombs away" - she made a pirate ship out of a large box (the Black Pearl of course) and teams of kids threw plastic balls at it (the "bombs") and the team that got the most inside the box won. We also had a treasure hunt for the kid's loot bags. If I get a chance in the next day or two, I'll post a couple photos.

I hope all is well with all our DIS friends here. I miss reading what everyone is up to each day! Life just has been very full lately - we are busy at work, DH is in the middle of a major renovation on our house, DS is always busy and since it is springtime, we also have a huge time comitment to our Garden Club. Our plant sale is in a few weeks and my DF runs the committee for that, so we are VERY involved. I am in charge of ALL labels of all plants - so far I have well over 2000 labels with probably around another 1000 to make.

Thank you to whoever has been doing the summaries! I have "stopped by" here a few times in the last month and read the summaries and a page or two. It is a little frustrating since I wish I could read more, but it is nice to get the highlights!
