I totally agree Judy. We are funny, cute & amusing!
(At least in my humble opinion).

And IMO, so is everyone else on this board! I will admit to being a smart add...I will admit to being a competitive person...I just saw the oneupsmanship as all in good fun, and I assumed everone else did too.

I think the whole 'original smart add' comment came from the fact that early on in the thread, pre-booking phase, Judy & I had several runs similar to Tom & J.R.'s recent quips.

That's how we became Pot & Kettle. Judy called me crazy, or insane or wacko or psycho (I forget which, pick one) & my response was: Nice to meet you Pot. I'm Kettle.

All in good fun and I don't think anyone was even close to crossing any sort of invisible line.

<insert Crash picture of invisible line here>

But then again I can usually take it as well as I can dish it up - have you seen my hula picture? So if I have said something that offended anyone, please accept my apology, and these flowers :flower3:, and this fireman :firefight .

OK Pirates....Group Hug

Cool new feature from Photobucket .....

The downside of reading at work is photobucket is one of the sites that is locked out, so I need to re-read to see the pics......Arrrrgh!

Awake and fully functioning are two very different things. I get up at 6 am, but I don't have to interact with anyone besides my kids until 9:30 am and that is a good thing! In order to function well enough for a job interview at 7 am, I had to get up at 5 & drink a pot of coffee.

Now stop it before you hurt my feelings!

I hope I didn't hurt your feelings. Figured as the devoted parent and spouse, you were probably the first up and suffer from the same lack of caffiene disorder a bunch of us do!

My DS#1 (9 years old) is doing his "States" project on Alaska!

"pirate: ", & a big hello to moushouseman! welcome aboard

matey!!!...[ hope your call sign..isn't "tooo true" to life, :earseek: psst

:hippie: ..i'll tell you what i really like about mic " :mickeyjum " ~
mse2003...she doesn't mess around..in telling how she feeling,
not shy in confronting problems, but most of all ...she puts all her heart
in helping others...of course, you already know all of this...& how
good a nurse she would've been...:confused3 does she ever let her
"hair" down?

..like dancing on tables and other a sorta "juicy" behaviors..or was you
funnier....around? popcorn:: ..me also like happy people!

does she ever get.... , and would that include throwing things?

Ooops, mr.V did it again!....:thumbsup2 , on your 15,000...noticed ,
iam making it to a 1,000,ooo...well us scaBABIES, have trouble with math,

hey, mr. v..what does toal means?

me = :faint: ...you don't want to hear our sad lil'adventures
chasing turkeys...up & down mountains...and all over the place,
if i didn't know better..i think they related to the groundhogs! did

we're fighting like a couple of old hens...not that, there's anything
wrong with...:dance3: ...[those lil 'white tops..reminds me of the
all the turkeys getting away..laughing, i bet] .* i was going to
wait...and try for a pirate: for my 1,000...but we getting up

nothing wrong with hamburgers for thanksgiving...or popcorn::

* in the begining..i promised myself not to get involve with those
posting here...what i am sharing, isn't my knowledge...actually
reminders of things you all are already doing...

:flower3: to lbgraves , in your time of need. & a special
prayer for you and your family. [ though i have made a few jokes
at my mia 's expense...we have a pretty good relationship, over
the years]. one thing that is so self evident, is how much time
you take and give of yourself to others. even with all the
struggles growing up...no one could blame you for feeling bitter,
yet you refused to give in to temptation and made the world a
happier place..for your family, your friends, and anyone needing
help. [ like making sure the boards is safe for children posters,
:grouphug: ]. i like to say thanks by sharing this lil' poem that as
given to me by a mother trying to encourage her son thru
drug abuse...and all the dedicated mothers on this cruise....you
all make me feel

don't quit:

when things go wrong,as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
when the funs are lopw, and the depts are high,
and you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit,
rest if you must, but son't you quit.
life is odd with its twist and turns,
and many a failure turns about,
when he might have won had he stuck it out;
don't give up though the pcae may seem slow,
you may succeed with another blow.
sucess is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
and you never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far;
so stick to the fight when you're hardeast hit,
irs when things seem worse,
that you must not quit.

boy, oh mommie..that sure described alot of you here!
..& i am can say , that i would have never known
sucess, without the caring of others....:wizard:

...you know how she signed it?..."you are still my pride & joy,
love mom."

so lisa, in reality....its what all the mothers' that makes
life so magical....i don't desreve any credit just for pointing this
out...:flower3: for your desired outcomes and for those goings
thru rough times. that's what i like my 1,000 post to stand for
.

Good Morning folks!!!

Morning All !!

Thought I'd take 5 minutes out to post this morning as I've been in work since before 07:00am and it's now fast approaching 08:00am. I'm in early as there's a day strike today and I have to prepare a few things for those members of staff in work. As I've achieved that in record time I'll have some "me-time".

Looking around me at the moment it's absolutely empty so I'm hopeful some staff turn up today and not just the non-union members :confused3

The building maintenance have put the heating on instead of the coolers so that will be my next job

For those of you who are on their way to bed, have a good nights sleep and for those of you who see this when you rise -

Good Morning !!

and

White Rabbits !!

The "White Rabbits" is said on the 1st of May in the UK - tell me if you do the same in the USA !! :flower3:

Best wishes for today

David

What does White RAbbits mean? Sounds neat though.

When I was pregnant with dd I told everyone I was going to have a May Day baby. My last day of work was April 24th and sure enough I went in on May 1. They had to induce my labor and I asked when she would be born. They told me probably 4 am the next morning. But dd came at 10:44 PM on May 1st! So I got my May Day baby.

DD knows what May Day is from me telling her, but more importantly her birthday! That's whay we started making May Day baskets for her to take to school. We use paper cups and punch holes and make handles with pipe cleaners. We fill them with small trinkets and candy. Use to take in cup cakes, but all the kids do is eat the frosting and waste the :cake:

But do you have anything that can actually play them any more?

Last year when we were having a block sale, one of the neighbors had a Barbie record player for sale. It was the kind that played 45's. Even has the plastic thingy you put in the record hole so it would sit on the turntable. They wanted $5 for it. I am kicking my self for not buying it. Something about listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with the pops and crackles that a record has with it.

Ahhhhh...the good old days.

Say, anyone want to cover the Pirate Joke of the Day while I'm gone. I've been doing such a lousy job recently anyway all y'all should just fire me.

Well I've got to run. It's bed time already and I stil don't have lunches made for tomorrow.

TTFN!

Do you have a list of jokes or do you make them up?

Maybe I'm overprotective of my kids but this it the reason that POC #1 we (DH and I) went to see alone and then POC #2 we weren't able to go alone so I went alone. I did buy the DVD of both and they can watch it at home- but we can monitor that... for instance not let the youngest two watch anything remotely gory or scary because we don't want to deal with nightmares later on! LOL it's harder to control that when you're in a movie theatre. So I guess what I'm saying is that we let them watch stuff at home- because we can say close your eyes or go to your room until we call you or whatever is necessary.

I have no idea what you're talking about on the hit backspace 2 times stuff. What exactly are you trying to explain there? Seriously I'm lost.

I like the watching DVDs of scary stuff with kids at home because you can stop them too. Take a break or just talk about it.

The backspace key (on IE) does the same thing as clicking with the back button with the mouse. So when the blue screen comes up with "now taking you to your post" message, if you hit backspace (on keyboard) or back (with mouse) once, you get your Reply to Thread screen, hit it a second time and you are right back where you hit "quote" the first time (unless you are on firefox, then you are at top of page where you hit quote).

I'm not great at explaining IT stuff, but can do and show fairly well.

Hello All :wave2:
* Update Warning and it's a downer. *
First- Thank you for the birthday wishes. Not much of a celebration here but there is worse things in life. My DD Brooke is devastated. She dropped Dante last night and he got hurt bad. After talking with the vet last night, he told me to bring him in first thing this morning. Dante will be spending the night in the hospital as he needs a implant in his knee. Can you relate Andy?

Between the hernia operation and this one which is more major, I see us just spending our TOAL money on other things.:sad1: Dante is not only a member of this family but my child and Brooke is the big sister. I have never been so attached to one animal before in my life. It hurts us so much to see him in pain and not able to walk.

Brooke has a teeth cleaning today and we have a home inspection this afternoon. I am feeling a little overwelmed and can't wait till this is all over with.

needed to vent, thanks for listening.

Happy Birthday...............

Ahhhhh...the good old days.

We have an old 45 jukebox.

Looks just like this one. It is so fun to listen to the oldies on it. You can even purchase newer music on 45's but it just isn't the same.

Use to also have an Peacock Bubbler Jukebox that played 78's. It was beautiful but needed to much repair.
