I have a good friend who always jokes about the little naugas that have given up their hides so that we can ride in comfort.

Tell him not to worry. Naugas shed their hydes without harm to themselves, making Naugahyde a Cruelty-Free fabric. Well what do you know? Pointless meeting was productive--probably because their manager wasn't there! Now 13 minutes until the next b*tchfest begins

So here's why I'm hacked off...

I blew a tire the other day Took car to dealer for new tire because I thought I had the extended coverage plan (BTW it's a brand new 2007 vehicle)…turns out I do have the plan but didn't buy the tire coverage! DOH!

So I go to Discount Tire Co. Although I like their prices, I really dislike how they always have to "go take a look" at the car/tires! WTH? I know what size I need/want, just get the danged tire! I always have the feeling that they (tire sales weenies) are trying to pull a fast one... Anyway, I was going to get a cheapie $86 tire (which then turns into $122 what with the envirocrap fees, taxes etc ) and the weenie says that since I have a 4WD vehicle that I should get the same make/model tire that’s on the car now. Why? Because even though they may be the same size, tires from different manufacturers might be of differing heights and would thus damage the drive mechanism… I though “what a bunch of hooey” but then he pitched the offer: he’ll also sell me 3 additional certificates to cover the original tires that came with the car so that if any of them get damaged, they will fix or replace them! SWEET!

Alas they didn’t have the tire in stock so it’s being shipped in from Denver and will be in today. I was all set to go after work but when I was putting some goodies from Target in the back last night I noticed something odd…the blown tire isn’t there! What the eff?!?!? Here the dealer still has the old tire because they’re expecting me to come back and have them
put the new one on!!! NFW buddy!!

Oh yeah, the cost of the new tire AND the protection for the other 3 that didn’t even come from Discount? About $20 LESS than the dealer wants for installing the ONE tire!!! So now I have to go back over to the dealer to get the old tire & wheel back.

Hi Everyone!

To all those w/B'days !!! ( including anyone I missed)

Took 41/2 mo. Max to vet for ongoing puppy shots - he's now a whopping 54lbs. He's going to be one big dog - I'm so glad that he's such a sweetheart!

Didn't post yesterday - the events at VT really upset me - such a tragedy.

Oh I forgot... quick update. DD's doctor was able to fit her in on Friday for her next test. Prayers answered for a better date. It is over a month earlier than they told us originally. This is where they will inject pain killer directly into her hip. If not pain after a few minutes they will know it is the hip and not muscles or surrounding area. It will hopefully give them some more guidance.

I'm so glad to hear this Laura! I'll be sending extra thoughts and prayers for her on Friday.
