One bit of good news, just received a call from the orthopedic doc's receptionist, my appt has been moved up to next Friday May 4th!!!

Hello, havent had time to 'ketchup' as yet, quick glance saw so note for me will come to that soon, but I want to share something with everyone on this thread.

You will know Julie was/is a major contributor to this thread, but after one post, had to leave us quickly and had to cancel her cruise.

She is so funny and caring, I have had a lot of 'joking' posts to/from each other nice banter with her.

I have seen posts asking where she is, what happended etc, I will post a private PM below, and I have said EVERYONE here is sending their very best wishes to her at this time.

Julie although I have never met her, (but wish to do so, ) is a very warm person and the situation must be a drain on her, and I know how that feels.

All ketchuped up! Well the big news her is that dd has made her professional debut as an actor in a film short! A teacher's aide has friends from Chicago who are film makers. Last spring they filmed at dd's school and dd got to be an extra! The short is called, "The Planning Lady" and is about a grade school guidance counselor. It was cute. DD is in a part where the kids are waiting to see the counselor and she is dressed up as a sailor. She wants to move to Hollywood and be a start now. Maybe I should take her for some headshots! Last summer she was also in an instructional folk dancing video.

I was great up until Pixar.

Andy, has the doctor tried the joint fluid replacement injections with you? I finished my series a couple of months ago, and it has helped. It isn't a miracle cure, but it's so much better now! We're trying to buy me some time before I have a total knee replacement.

Made myself chuckle....I remember listening to my Grandma and her sisters discuss their aches and pains and thinking that I would never get that old.

I had Synvisc injections in this knee back in the summer of 2000, they helped for about 3-4 months. I had the partial knee replacement done to the Medial Compartment in March of 2001 to this same knee and it has done wonders. The problem now is, the Lateral Compartment of the knee is giving me the pain and discomfort. I asked my orthopedic doc last month about trying the Synvisc injections again, but he said since I have the partial replacement in the knee, he doesn't want to give me the Synvisc injections for fear of infection getting into the joint, which could cause another whole area of concern. It's kind of like a Catch 22 thing going on.


Almost forgot, funny thing is, I see myself walking now just like my grandmother did before she got her knee replacement done...................
