LOL . . . it's still early . . you can't be tired . . .LOL

You know I actually stayed awake today after I got the kids off to school. I was thinking that I should start getting on a schedule of early to bed & early to rise & here I sit trying to catch up. I will read Tom's humorous summaries, but I hate not reading every post, because then I will wonder what I missed! I got a lot of chuckles reading the knock knock & blond jokes! :rotfl:

Theresa, Stacey (Justmestace) lives in Arizona, so she could probably give you some good advice.

Thank you . . .

Time for me to head for some sleep. My battery is just about out (on my computer that is .. .LOL) Have a lovely Thursday, all!

I'm heading off to bed as well, I've had a very bad day and have been in extreme pain. I've had to resort back to taking pain pills for these knees of mine. I'm "hoping" for a better day tomorrow. Hazel had to stop and get me another jar of Mineral Ice this evening.

Good Night All :wave:

Sorry to hear that you are suffering Andy. Hope it feels better in the morning.

What do you think? These Americans are complaining:
...that the food is too cold or hot, too fattening or healthy, too much or little, too exotic or ho-hum;
...that the ship is rocking too much;
...that the wonderful Jamaican Flounders nannies complained that DD was dropped off with a fully loaded diaper;
...that the kids' area of Deck 9 is too noisy but won't leave Jr. (12) to his own devices because they're way overprotective;
...that the cruise is too long;
...that they spent boocoo dollars and didn't get a private 3 hour audience with Mickey or Captain Tom.
:mad:

But of course, those Americans aren't DISers! :teeth:

Instead, the American DISers:
...will be handing out a frothy drink to anyone who wants one
...will gladly watch someone else's DKids so mom & dad can have some private Rasul/Palo time;
...will be walking around with a permagrin asking any DCL CM to confirm that the DISer is really truly on the Magic for TWO WEEKS!! :banana:

The Dissers are also:-

  • First on the ship after getting private transport to port.
  • Have the Palo ressies
  • Have the hammocks at Casterway
  • Know every word to Disney dreams can spot the changes Whoopi or Roy.
  • Have the Dolphon shore trip ressies!!

in other words ''organised''

Yes, but upon return from the Med, you will only have one cruise meet thread to post, thereby offsetting the lost time.

Good point and you must factor in that I have been requested to upload the Med Navigators as they will give us clues for the 2008 Repo, and photos of the Med so that could increase my daily thread post count.

Additionally you might have noticed its Thursday morning and I am posting, when I am usually at work, Have to go to the Doctors soon.

( and its aken me 20 mins to post this!) Sloooooooooooooooooow.

My father has been in a nursing home and I went every day to feed him breakfast. Because of my rotar cuff repair I couldn't go. In 8 days he just went south. He's in the hospital in ICU. Hooked up to all kinds of machines. Exactly what we didn't want. But because he had a minor operation they had to put in a breathing tube and he wasn't able to breathe on his own. I was there today and I don't think he'll leave the hospital. What happened to the golden years? :scared1: :sad1:

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers today. Here are some :grouphug: :grouphug: just because.

Take Care

Good Morning Andy,

Are you feeling any better?

Well...the Good news is that we may not have to pay the Alternative Minimum Tax for this tax year. However, the bad news is that my DW may be laid off tomorrow.:sad1:

She's a professor and received email 1 (paraphrasing): "Dear employees, as announced at March XX meeting, the company has been planning staff reductions. Those impacted will be contacted by their Deans by 11am tomorrow. Sincerely, College President."

E-mail 2 arrives (again paraphrasing) "Hello Shella! (sic), I need you to come in and meet with me, the HR Director and some other person. Please let me know if 11am or 2:30pm is alright with you. Sincerely, Your Dean."

She's been fulltime for 9 years and had at least 2+ years adjunct before that. We were hoping she'd be spared because she picks up so many weekend and evening courses, plus the 9 years of time in seemed like some seniority, plus there are only two females that teach CIS. I've reread it multiple times and tried to look at some way that there may be an actual outcome where she's not being let go, but why would the HR Director be included? plus the timing after the first e-mail just leaves us w/little hope.

The bright side, she is finishing her PhD coursework in the next 3 weeks and this may allow her more time to focus on her dissertation. Even still, the completion of her coursework this month gives her an EdS degree, which is a graduate degree (basically says I did my PhD work but haven't completed a dissertation yet).

That's horrible. And by email ??

Andy, I might have told you once before but please try Theragesic!!! :thumbsup2 It can be ordered at Sam's or other pharmacies if it is not on shelves. It works soooo much better than Mineral Ice, Ben-Gay etc. :rolleyes1 If you lived closer I would let you try some of mine. :rolleyes: My DH agrees too.

Thanks Cheryl, I'll see if I can find that, I've heard about it before, but never tried it.

I'm feeling a bit better this morning, but then again I've been off my feet most of last night, I'll see how the morning goes once I get to work and start walking. It's a very chilly and damp start here this morning, which isn't going to help much either.

Andy, hope you feel better, we seem to be linked, just been to the Doctors as I have been getting headaches etc, told high blood pressure, take it easy, go for walks, ban on all fatty food etc.

That is terrible and it happens here as well, lots of workers were laid off by TEXT recently, - now recently the Manager involved had a car accident and lost his life.

Morning All

Have a few spare minutes to myself this morning. DH took the kids to work with him today. Since it is Take your Kids to work day. He wanted me to take one, but my answer is "Hello, Remember I work for the A**Backwards company that doenst do anything on the days its supposed to be done."

We have a tyktwd, but its some random day they limit it to 8 & up and alot of people dont bring them in because since its not the official one they are not excused from school.

But that is just typical of my company, they do everything backwards and upside down.

There are too many companies around the world that think, profits and shareprice and low costs all the time, not 'family' and 'social responsibility'.

The good companies do, and workers respect them more for treating them as humans.
