We love Panera!

You know sometimes when I talk to myself, I give pretty good answers!

Now when I hear someone talking and I think they are talking to themselves, I have to look for that bluetooth thing sticking out of their ear!

Hi to everyone, before I get picked off the boards again. They sure are acting up.

Tina: :rotfl:

someday I am gonna get with the program and stop thinking strangers are talking to me when they are on those things..I am constantly doing a double take to see who they are talking to.....does that mean I am ancient????

Is your son going on the TOAL with us? If so get him a room credit!:)

I could only wish but unfortunately no. He and his DW has gone on one cruise with us but it is hard to fit it into his schedule. Nice thought though; thanks. :thumbsup2

My DS has his 34th birthday on Saturday (somebody is getting old!). What do you get a 34yo who makes more money than you do and has everythng?
:confused3

That would be your DS getting old, not you, correct? Why not just wrap up a list of what you want and tell him he makes more so he should give presents on his birthday.... worth a try :rotfl:

If I ever did start talking to myself and someone said something I'd tell them that it is because I do not have anyone else smart enough to talk to. :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Panera is awesome and most locations have free wifi for the laptop enabled...

What I love more than the people who are always talking to themselves ("bluetoothers") is listening to their conversations "Well Julie was dating Bob but Bob was ......" Such a waste...

Right now my number one choice is an iTunes gift card.
:confused3

Hey Brack watch which # you call old? I turned that age in October. ;)

Hmm... What to get? i guess itunes would work. i know i like getting gift certificates for stuff i'd use but just not think of.... (of course my mom can never take a hint so gets me some crappy dollar store/yard sale item that i have no use for)

i'd rather get the itune card myself..... (of course it's DD who actually has an ipod)

Tell Annette i hopes she feels better..... (tell her it was all theat time away from you that must have made her sick.)

I do the same thing! I feel like saying "You Talking to ME?" :confused3

Brack,

So sorry to hear that Annette isn't feeling well. How sweet of you to get her Starbucks. That would make me feel better if DH did that for me.

Hope she feels better soon.

Okay, I have caught up for now. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to everyone that has had one in the last 2 days. I am glad that some of you are starting to feel better. I am sorry that others are not feeling too well. Prayers and pixiedust to you. Sorry to hear about pets not doing too well. All the best for them also. I probably won't be back on, since I need to take DS to boyscouts tonight. I also had a very busy two days. Will try to ketchup tomorrow.

Does your DS and DDIL like to go out to eat, if so, a gift card to their favorite eating establishment would be nice.

Darlene, I don't think it was a relative. I think it was his godson. They're neighbors from what I remember.

Bip, so glad to hear that you are having some recovery!! You will have to keep us up to date. That is wonderful that Ruby made the :cheer2: squad.
I have missed hearing from you.:)

:woohoo: happy to hear you are seeing improvement!!!!:woohoo:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats to Ruby!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: shounds like she really deserved it - 'cause of all the hard work!!!!:wizard: :thumbsup2

BIP!!! so good to hear from you. I am so glad you are starting to see some improvement. Do you watch that Grease, your the one I want show? One of the finalists, Max, was saying last week that he suffered Bells Palsey when he was a little boy. He seems to be doing awesome now. I am sure it has been a strain for you and we continue to pray for you.

Also, awesome news about Ruby!! It warms my heart to know that they will pick kids for teams based on their talents not on whether they have been on the team before. Good for her!!!

Thanks to everyone for the comments about me and Ruby. I didn't grab them all for quotes- sorry! I appreciate them all though!
In response to the last comment- yeah... I made sure before I even let her know I'd received the email from the principal about the first "mtg" about cheerleading tryouts last week- that it was going to be done fairly. I emailed the cheerleading coach and asked her how it would be done- because if it was going to be done by popular vote of the kids in school... I wasn't going to let her try out! She's not popular- she gets shy around her peers like a totally different person, so she only has a few friends who really know how personable, silly, funny, nice, etc. she is. The rest don't even notice her because she gets quiet in large groups, classes, etc. and just blends into the background. She's had the same few girlfriends for the past few years. But when the cheerleading coach said no, that it would be 60% judges from another town not even given the girls names (they went by numbers in the judging) and 40% was by forms filled out by the teachers (for conduct, school grades, participation in class, etc.) -then I knew it would be done fairly. In fact the cheerleading coaches didn't even know who made the squad until they called out the numbers after all the judging was done- only then did they know what girl went with the number. KWIM? It was done very fairly. This is the first year of cheerleading here, involved with the school. Previous cheerleaders were like with football leagues -you know where if you register and pay, you're a cheerleader no matter what. But some of those girls had cheered for years like that and some had taken tumbling and/or gymnastics for years. So I am pretty proud of her that she had the ability to do some tumbling and practiced hard on the cheer and dance. It was especially difficult for her because both were very complicated and she has ADHD so she doesn't just remember things immediately. :)

True, it was the hotel's decision.

However, the hotel didn't just look at DCL's schedule and decide hey let's offer discounts to anyone sailing on the eastbound repo.

Someone called on January 26 and negotiated a group rate.

When many of us called to book, we were asked if we were with XYZ.

A large number of us were lucky enough to benefit from the rate that person negotiated.

If I offended anyone, then I apologize. I'm not trying to start a fight, but I’m not willing to pretend that a group rate just appeared out of the clear blue sky.

Maybe it's just time for me to bow out of this thread.:sad2:

The fact is that someone here called on their own before knowing about any existing rate and tried to negotiate a group rate for the DIS. They were told that since there was already a standard 20% cruise group rate that already exists ... no matter what your sail date is ... there was no reason to set up a specific block of rooms for the DIS group reservations. When people called and were asked if they were with "XYZ" they said no. It was the hotel's decision to give them to standard cruise discount. They said that it didn't matter because all cruise groups received the same discount. No one here took advantage of anyone or anything. For whatever reason, some people refuse to believe, acknowledge, or whatever that fact. Noone here is pretending anything, although that can't be said everywhere.

Lisa:

well said! :thumbsup2

thank you!:)

OK, and how was everyone's day today? I planned on playing hookey today, then decided to go to work and played hookey anyway. I got most of our basement cleaned up. Although I still have scrapbooking stuff out where it shouldn't be.
I also got a nice certified letter from the KY Environmental Cabinet, Division of Waste Management letting me know that I several violations that I am going to need to deal with concerning my underground storage tanks. Apparently, my line leak detection needs to upgraded. At least there are no fines involved, just capital expenditures I wasn't planning on.

We are going to grill out tonight steak, baked potatos and brocoli casserole.:)
