 "Good Morning, from the Middle of the Night"

I know vacation is coming very soon, and I think this is contributing to my waking up early the past week or so. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to getting away!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Andy - are we really that old? I remember that show well.

Karen

Did a quick google search this morning:

Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell) born June 7, 1943
Tony Dow (Wally) born April 13, 1945
Jerry Mathers (Beaver) born June 2, 1949

Turning in everyone - long day between work and studying. I'm almost done with my last class for my bachelors degree - hopefully will be finito no later than the end of next week and then I get to start work on the master's portion :cool1: which will be completed around this time next year!:cool1: Just one more thing to celebrate on our TOAL.

Have a great evening - see ya on the flip side!

Of course, we will help you celebrate:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I did tackle the ironing today for a few hours. I managed to iron the shower curtain, DS 18 shirts, 3 jeans, 2 dress pants; DD 11 shirts, 2 jeans, DH 7 shirts; me 8 shirts, 2 jeans. Unfortunantly there is still a full basket of clothes because I also dried a load of clothes today that needed ironing. :(

Good for you :) I do try to take them right out of the dryer and I avoid ironing at all costs! I have friends though that actually love to iron. :)

DS seems to listen to reason pretty well...and DD can't do things like that if DS doesn't because she is smaller. ;) I just let DS stop using the booster seat a few months ago. He is 8 1/2 and pretty tall for his age. He knew that the booster made him safer. He saw the news one night when they were talking about a new law that if the police catch you not wearing a seatbelt, they will fine that person. DS is the first to tell his friends to buckle up in the car before we can go or they will have to pay the policeman a lot of money. :thumbsup2

We have mandatory seat belt laws here also for all passengers. The police can stop us just for that offense now. Up until about 6 months ago, they could only cite us if we were doing something else wrong.

And everyone on the roads becraeful today. We have had 2 fatalities this morning on our roads.:sad1:

That makes me feel much better Andy, I think it was the reruns I was watching while growing up. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: They are a about 20 years older than me!

Morning Everyone:goodvibes

Andy! The Beav really didn't age too well did he? Scary. They had him on the new show with Identity. I don't remember whether the contestant recognized him right away.Dirt Nap! Love that expression:rotfl2:
I can understand how excited you are but hope you actually went back to sleep after your first post. 3am is way too early

My little grandson is very small for his age.Bottom 10% and up til a few months ago used to sit in a carseat. But everytime I picked the kids up at school he was so embarrased he would refuse to sit down and plead with me to DRIVE!.I would slowly get to the end of the pickup and then make him get settled. Went out and got him a booster seat and he was so thrilled he didn't stop talking about it for weeks. Now he is embarrased about that as well. I explained why he needs to have the extra height and he does understand but still think it isn't far his siblings don't need one. My DD and I told him if he starts eating and growing more he can eliminate the seat as well.I have visions of him going out on his first date with the booster :lmao:

Todd and Stace, loved those pics.Keep them coming.

I don't fit into the pack rat category. I throw all boxes away, unless they go to a collectible. When we moved 13 years ago, all boxes that were still unpacked in the basement a year later were loaded into the back of DH's pick up (3 trips) where taken to the Goodwill. I didn't even open and glance in. Of course there are still things that I know I still wonder what happened to! But I only kept a few of DS's outfits from being a baby. I have just a couple of his art projects (that I still want to frame). There is nothing in our attic that is inside of DS room except a Mickey rocking horse and a small box of mementos. Every year several times I take a load to the Goodwill or Center for Women. I figure if I haven't used it in a while I don't need it. If it wasn't for Christmas decorations our storage in the basement would be almost empty. DH loves to decorate for the holidays and most of our Christmas decorations are stored above our walk in cooler at the store.

We do seem to accumulate more things at the store than home--beer neons, coolers etc. I will save them and participate every 2 years or so in our annual neighborhood yard sale. It amazes me what people will pay for neons-LOL.

5 years ago I helped to clean out my grandpaprent's house, it was a daunting task. I keep trying to let my mom let me help her go through the basement and clean out her stuff. So far she just doesn't want to. But when I helped her clean out her hall closet, I did get her to part with a large black trash bag of used wrapping paper. DH and I bought our 1st house from my mom, it was the house I grew up in . She had rented it for years. The attic was still full of "her memories" 95% of it had to go in the trash--dry rotted clothes etc...I just don't want DS to have to through that one day.

I really don't know why I said all this. I now need to get ready to go to work. Everyone have a lovely day:)

Andy, you've got to be bouncing off the walls! Only 2 more days!:cool1:

Well time to get to work.

Thank goodness we are not posting mega posts anymore as I suddenly started getting emails on the new postings? How do I turn this off? I forgot.

Hoping to meet up with some fellow repo cruisers on Friday April 6, 2007. We were just able to reserve a room for that night at the Pop Century Resort.

Gotta run and get back to work

Good Morning Everyone....

I hope everyone has a good day at work!!:thumbsup2

:) Good morning everyone!!!!:)

Liz - have a magical time:wizard: !

:yay: am getting excited for everyone with vacation plans!!!!:yay: ..someone mention living vicariously through those with vacations coming up - that's what I will do for now...thanks everyone for the pictures and the reports!!!! Jealous of those getting together to meet - like the idea of a Northeast meet!!!

don't watch AI - but saw that Sanjaya on morning programs - all I can say is .."um, Okaaayyyy......:upsidedow". DD has us following "Dancing with the Stars" - she is into for some reason.....DH and I did a year at Arthur Murray (we were terrible with a capital "T") - so we can at least explain to her why some are better than others.... wish some of the ladies would cover up a tiny bit more - I am becoming a prude when DD is in front of the TV!!!

gotta go play Cinderella (before the Prince) - gotta get a start on the spring cleaning.

:thumbsup2 Have a great day everyone!!!!!:thumbsup2

I think I'm gonna hire you to come help with my basement one of these weekends!! :scared1:

Mornin' pirate:s
It is a beautiful brisk day on Eagle River. Low 0, High 26

I did tackle the ironing today for a few hours. I managed to iron the shower curtain, DS 18 shirts, 3 jeans, 2 dress pants; DD 11 shirts, 2 jeans, DH 7 shirts; me 8 shirts, 2 jeans. Hours of ironing????:scared1: I admire your homemaking perfection, but you really lost me!

Shower curtain? You see, us lazy people "iron" by hanging things in the bathroom and taking a hot shower. Trust me, that one will all work itself out.
How often do you wash a showercurtain??? I throw the plastic liner thing away & hang a new one every few months, but the cloth part...I wash them when we move. Am I gross?

Jeans? Wow. Just wow.

I get DH shirts if he wears dress shirts or oxfords to work. My DH irons his own. Even when I was a SAHM, I never tried because he is a perfectionist.

29 shirts for the kids! I'm thrilled if I can find something to put on the kids that doesn't have a giant stain running down the front!

No joke, I would have gone on my first date in a booster if the rules were the same back then! We'll I WOULDN'T have done it, but you KWIM. I would have needed one until my freshman year of high school.

Thank goodness we are not posting mega posts anymore as I suddenly started getting emails on the new postings? How do I turn this off? I forgot.
