You do realize that you will need to bring a note explaining your absence before you are permitted to participate in Chat again. Oh, and vacation is not an excused absence.

Enna lays it down !!!!!

I'M BACK!

Lesson learned this morning: 15 degree weather and flip flops do not mix.

There is nothing quite like the discontented groan of a 757 full of people traveling from Honolulu to Anchorage when upon landing, the perky flight attendant comes on the intercom to announce that the local tme is 7:05 am and the temperature is 15 degrees.

I read the summaries - anything else I need to know? Have I been volunteered for anything?

Yes, I'm typing in tan.

Welcome home to sunny Anchorage. Hope you had a great trip.

It's Saturday which means.........it's Family Movie Night here at the O'B House!!

For tonight's viewing pleasure we have:

The Holiday and
The Departed

Chinese Food are arrived, DH is lighting a fire, the "STs" are gathered around the TV, and so I'm off until later!

Have a wonderful Saturday night!

After deciding on a College today.....I need to cherish the Saturday Night Family Movie Nights we have left :sad1: :sad1:

I can't do it all, but I'm reading random pages right now...

Thank you all for the well wishes. I will live. 14 stitches under the right eye. Pete took great care of me. Next time I hope he remembers the anestethic before he sticks the needle in my eye. Just kidding. The black eye will go away, the bloody clothing will be cleaned, bot the Pirate scar Peter left me will be there forever.

Jack

Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory... lasts forever.

Glad you're OK. Stick to a safe sport like rugby would ya?

You do realize that if you posted this on the main board the conversation would go from snippy to hostile to closed in 10 pages or less, don't you??

So Enna, just for the trifecta - how do you feel about dressing for dinner and unaccompanied pre-teens?

Been ok thank you, took DD to see doctor again Thursday in London and her Ear is healing very well, and now the repaired one has 10% better hearing than the untreated one.
So thats good news.
Hope everyone is great with you.

Hi Andrew:wave2: It seems like I have beeen missing chatting:chat: with you when you are on the board. I am so happy DD is healing.:cloud9: Hope your DW is doing good too.:thumbsup2

I have been off this board for the past week... too much work! Plus I need to finish off planning for my first DCL cruise this August.. and our trip to WDW afterwards (looks like free dining is going to happen this year ).

But I try to stay in touch with my fellow EB Repo'ers in the Friday chat.

And last night was very fun and informative. You have to try and make it next time!

I sure hope the free dining will happen too!:thumbsup2 I will be at WDW September 3 through the 10th.:dance3: Free eating on Mickey is always good.:woohoo: This TOAL is costing enough money.:rolleyes1

She's sittin' on my lap now drinking from a Jama juice cup seemingly half her size ... and in a moment she'll be getting a bit of chicken noodle soup. Her spirits are tolerable now - but last nite it was actually pretty "extreme". Easily qualifying as a tough nite for my spouse and I.

Thanks for your supportive thoughts ... it's appreciated!

I hope your DD:cutie: is feeling better this evening CC. You seem like such a love and caring father.

This is a true story......when my DS was in the 2nd grade and learning about the Presidents we were talking about Abe Lincoln and the Civil War. My darling, adorable, cute as a button son turns around and asks me if Abraham Lincoln was nice when I met him :rotfl2: I gently explained that Abe Lincoln lived long before I was born. To add insult to injury DS then added "But you did live in the world when it was gray" I asked him to explain and he said I lived before there was any color in the world like on those really old shows I watched. Yes, John, Mom lived during the time that TV was BLACK & WHITE :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: He thought there was no color in the world Period! Kids are CRAZY :lmao: :lmao:

But I never have met Abraham Lincoln ............REALLY!!!!

Children.:confused3 You have to love them even though they insult us.:cloud9: Next thing you know is did we even have fire way back when.:rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't believe I'll be missing TWO chats. Someone must record it to history for me...............:rotfl:

Not me!!!!!!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I tried to make the FRIDAY night chat but I had a houseful of girls over THURSDAY since we didnt have school here Friday.. They were surprisingly quite.. but we were so busy on Friday.. And they are so funny!:rotfl: My poor son sure got a lesson in High School girls for sure.. so Friday night I fell asleep long before the 9pm chat.

Speaking of my son.. we passed a milestone with him. He got his braces on finally.:scared1: We kept saying it was going to be after the cruise in August that we took so finally 7 months later they are on.. Any horror stories for us??lol

I last had a poblem with the older one when he was smaller after she saw Star Trek Voyager episodes wuth the Borg assymelating people.

As you can see, I'm also getting close:thumbsup2

OK Crash! I used to be one of those Saturday matinee b/w horror movie buffs. Read mostly every Stephen King book, but when I saw Salems Lot, it really freaked me out. Especially the scene where the Vampire was coming up in the kitchen floor. I thought I was over it until DS sat me down to watch Jeepers Creepers. Needless to say, now I do not watch these anymore. There was something about that movie that really got to me.

Scariest thing in my childhood was when we were staying in the Catskills during the summer and for some ungodly reason decided to wander off into the woods. WE used to do this very often ,never really wnet too far (think the movie Stand by Me)but this time really wandered off.At one point we were so very lost and really didn't know where we were until we started following one of those stone fences so commonly found in the woods, sort of recognized a tree and started to recognize the area. Of course the adults never knew where we were during the day.Thought we were in the day camp or pool.We were friends with the owners daughter and I guess they thought we were safe being with her? Hey it was the late 50's
When I look back on that now as an adult I can't believe we were so cavalier about doing some of the things we did.:scared1: I mean no one knew where we were!!!!

Scariest thing as an adult was driving up the auto road on Mt Washington in NH in a TR-6,not being in the right gear and rolling backwards towards the edge of the road. Never did get to the top:lmao:
