No one ever knows what is going to happen, on a UK dis thread last year there was a disscussion about a Virgin flight to USA, leaving late each day for two weeks, I commented that wasnt good service by Virgin. ( and unusual for them).

The next morning the 'security issues' at UK airports started ( liquids) and one 'poster' thought it would be good to make a dig at me that for saftey and security it didnt matter if planes were delayed.

It annoyed me as how could I know what was going to happen, my comments were correct in normal circumstances and a genuine way, on the knowledge I had at that time, I wasnt party to Mi5's investigations.

The cruise incident is not good two people lost their lives, and the ship went down quickly. But due to other very 'visable and terrible' news stories in the UK at the moment it hasnt made it to Air a lot.

Oh, I agree with you, but it is just like me to make some off-hand remark and turn out to put my foot in my rather large mouth. Someone at work the other day told me my problem was lack of an internal filter -- I agreed.

Hope you are all having a good Easter.

She's coach of her DD's softball team...so she hasn't been around lately.

Oh, good to know she is still okay. If she's been gone longer than me, then we can expect to see some posts about how great Easter weekend was.

Sometime around the fourth of July.

Probably Tacony-Palmyra Drive-in... Original oldie low Tech Death Star Star Wars... Original release dates

As for van...that was pre-minivan days.... i remember it being a larger van. They sold pottery at the Flea Markets in those days (but i was so little i only remember bits and pieces; oh wait i musta broke something). They sold over at Columbus Flea Market too (in NJ). The only thing i remember about Columbus was Maurice- the bootleg tape guy and the fresh roasted peanuts.

and yes my mom, my dad, and me, and i guess baby sis....(she would have been less than a yr old)

Drive-ins were fun back then and had swings and stuff.

So I need to go back and edit that one, I meant which one was making you feel old. The others were just quotes simliar to what I get...

Columbus is still going strong. Can't say the same for Tacony/Palmayra drive in....

re: the park stats...I had no idea so many people went to the world without doing all the parks! Wow!

We haven't been to Epcot or Animal Kingdom. We usually have at least one day for riding the monorail, DTD, and the pool if the weather is nice enough. When we go to a park we are there from opening until closing without leaving. We don't hop.

11/03 MK 1
12/04 MK 1
6/05 MK 2 MGM 1
12/05 MK 1 MGM 1
12/06 MK 1

I hope to keep our December trip this year even though we cancelled the cruise because we are suppose to go to Epcot with our friends. :) I want to see the Santas around the world. I am also looking forward to Soarin. :goodvibes

With the MK bit I presume they measure it by turNover each day so you could be counted more than once for examlpe last year I had seven days in WDW, I had one full day in AK, MGM, Epcot, and the other four all included MK, for all or part of the day.

So in that example my attendance is four times more in MK.

You would think they would have a method of screening out handstamp re-entries from entries. (I don't know that they do, but from a marketing perspective, counting re-entries could tell you if people are leaving for lunch, dinner, etc.)

Now, as for one person visiting the same park on multiple days like you, you are right that attendance doesn't tell the whole story since you don't know if people are coming in for a little while or all day. I often wonder about the Epcot numbers in years past b/c I know we'd be there every other night for dinner when we stayed at BC.

Okay ...Remember I said when my friend Toby came to Vegas to try out for a reality show , and while he was here we did alot of filming ....Well , here is the cereal commercial we did in my backyard and in the house ....those that have watched Tobys other little videos on utube saw the first cereal commercial ...this is Pt 2 to that ...LOL I even got a part ...I was the stunt sword and arm ...LOL enjoy

I bet if you go to MK in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon it would count as two entries, wether re entries to the same park can be filtered out or not I am not sure.

Mk is usually our priority, but we park hop a lot either early entry MK and swap at lunchtime to MGM/Epcot, or AK early and go to MK for evening.

We usually do one whole day MK, one day Epcot, and we split MGM & AK. Animal Kindom really can be done in a half of day. I try to work the early entrance to which park it is for the day. We never leave to CM's kick us out!!!:thumbsup2

But it's already totally rediculous that a professional like Melinda was allowed to be on in the first place... The whole premise of the show is that it is undiscovered amateurs.....

People who have been signing backup for recording artists aren't necessarily amateurs....

(same for Brandon or was it Brendon)

PS..Glad to see you again BIP

Using that you could say that Jennifer Hudson shouldn't have been allowed to compete. She worked on DCL and was paid for it. IMO any entertainment job where you are paid knocks you out of the amateur status.

My kids usually flag and we nearly never make it to park closing unless we have a meal in the park, usually we watch a parade and for MK go back to the Polynesian or Contemporary and watch the fireworks from there.

7 "EMERGENCY" QUESTIONS!

1) What 2 things would you grab and run with BY HAND (aside from a spouse or child/children) if an emergency evacuation moment arose on a cruise ship?

Nothing. Get kids and DW to safety. All else can be replaced (even all the great pics on camera, just have to do the cruise again...)

2) Same question at home (keep answers interesting - but NO personal secret info revealed please - for your protection!)

Probably same answer. If I was evacuating for hurricane or similar, would probably grab cpu from computer (all finances, etc. + friday night chat!)

3) Do you have an "Emergency Plan" established for your family? IE... if you lost touch with one another in a huge public emergency do you have any plans or understandings with loved ones?

Ironically (since I do emergency planning for a living...) NO. My DW always says she is the cobbler's wife.... Those of us who don't have this, check here

4) Do you get thrills or chills from Movies depicting "EMERGENCY" themed thrillers? Like the movie "Speed" or "Earthquake", or movies with tangental emergencies as in BACKDRAFT or similar?

To quote DW "You are the only person who gets more excited the worse the disaster is."

5) Do you know or have you in the past been trained in any first aid? Can you do CPR in a pinch? Do you know your rights and liabilities?

Yes. Yes. Yes (actually teach that sometimes).

6) Have you ever performed emergency 1st aid
Very, very basic only. But I have driven the ambulance to the hospital for those who do better than I can.

7) What was the last "emergency moment" that you personally experienced?

Take your pick. I was involved in both 9/11 and Katrina with logistics and legal issues. I am a volunteer firefighter. .......

Its 20 Euros now!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't get me confused. It took me two days in your country to figure out what a 'quid' was when someone said it cost them 10 quid for something.

But, at least y'all are smarter with your money than us and put real numbers on them. It must be very confusing to come to the U.S. and get "one dime" and not know a dime is 10 cents. I don't know why they don't say "10 cents".
