8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 11

I gave up & went to the doctor to check out my left shoulder - I've had constant pain. So, I've joined the walking wounded although my probelm is not as severe as some of our other DISers. I am not to use my left arm - I've got a sling - taking vicodin - and after spring break I go back for an MRI. I kept thinking that it would just go away. Wrong!

I won't miss have a bunch of fun w/my DGKs next week though - one armed or not!!

Hi everyone! Well my fingers are feeling very chatty tonight since I have had a bad case of laryngitis all day. I'm not a person who does well when deprived of my ability to talk and talk and talk. At least here I can yak without a voice. I wish it was chat tonight!

Lorri, sorry about your DS and health. It can actually be a really hard class these days. It's way different then what we had back in the day. I remember in high school having health, driver's training and driver's ed all combined in the same class and it was taught by the football coach. I did fine in health and drivers ed, but drivers training was another story. In drivers ed I managed the simulators just fine, but behind the actual wheel of a car I was a menace. Everytime I made a left turn I would get confused and turn into the oncoming traffic lane and my fellow students in the car would start screaming. It's so funny because Coach always stayed so calm. He would just say "Mary dear, you're in the wrong lane again and the passengers in back are afraid for their lives, so could you please move back into the correct lane before we all meet the big Coach in the sky." He said the exact same thing every time. He was like Mrs. Puff and I was Spongebob!

If anyone sees MR or Andy, they will be happy to know that driving from Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty back towards Trenton today, we were caught in white out conditions and a dusting of the evil four letter word. Make sure you wear your sweatshirt.

Gee, thanks for the warning Tom, but I had to wear the hooded sweatshirt here in Florida this evening, that's how chilly it got down here tonight.......

DS5 fell this evening, and I'm still trying to figure out the physics involved. He hit top front of head (managed to bang next to his right eye) on a low window sill, lower back, and knees in that order. Lots and lots of crying, but nothing wrong a little ice and couldn't fix.

He'll admit to walking on his bed and falling off it. I don't think he was jumping or he'd have been hurt worse. So he came off the foot of his bed, hit is head, must have bounced off either the end of the bed or bookshelf (to get his back) and then hit his knees. Though DS10 says he flipped over during the fall. I dunno - it'll remain a mystery.

In any case, he's convinced himself that walking (and jumping) on the bed is a bad idea. One of those self correcting experiences.

I'm just glad it was so minor.

So glad he wasn't hurt badly Esteri.

We just booked visits for Boston in November, Honolulu in August, and Vegas next week. All done in the last week or so... crazy I tell ya'. We would have added another visit to Honolulu in December but the fares jumped while we were lining up the hotels... so we'll fade from those plans until we line up an attractive are fare. Plus we're planning to build a cabana/playhouse + rennovate the backyard landscaping this spring/summer... so I've had a busy time of it as of late.

Tom sounds like your family is going to very busy.

I was going thru WDW withdrawel yesterday so I went ahead and booked 4 visits for May, October, November and January(which includes a 4 day Disney Wonder cruise). Do you think I went overboard?(no pun intended!) Oh well I need to see Mickey!

What I mean by "Making Biscuits" is she likes to sit on my lap and "Knead" like a kitten would if they were nursing.

I know, mine do the same ...one used to get up on the couch with me every night and "knead" my pregnant belly...used to ask him if he was giving the baby a massage!!!..kinda sad though, my mom has him now and he is doing very badly (17 and diabetic). She is taking him to vet tomorrow.

Okay ...Remember I said when my friend Toby came to Vegas to try out for a reality show , and while he was here we did alot of filming ....Well , here is the cereal commercial we did in my backyard and in the house ....those that have watched Tobys other little videos on utube saw the first cereal commercial ...this is Pt 2 to that ...LOL I even got a part ...I was the stunt sword and arm ...LOL enjoy
