Speaking of ketchup, I make my meatloaf with ketchup. Just plain ketchup. BUT...I may try the Worchestershire sauce mixed with the ketchup next time...Sounds like it might make it a little tastier...

My phone has been reset to the correct time. Still waiting for the computer. I cannot wait to see how bad my Outlook is messed up once the computer is changed. If it can go wrong, it will go wrong when it comes to computers.

For the record, I was also hoping the second to last team was gone also.

Hey Pirates

If anyone is interested, Disney is running a contest to see an advanced screening of the Pirates 3 trailer and watch Curse of the Black Pearl.

And if you haven't heard, the trailer will be shown during the premier of this season's Dancing With the Stars on March 19. The contest is for a screening on the evening of the 18th.

DW went to Target today and scored big on POTC stuff. She found a 10 item set of important props (compass, sword, headband) and for me a Mr. Cotton talking parrot. Todd suggested that I might resemble Mr. Cotton but I did not have a good parrot. Here is a picture of it.

It will repeat what ever you say twice. Does a very hardy "I've got a jar of dirt". The only down side is that I will have to carry it since it does not sit on my shoulder.

I saw those talking parrots Saturday, I think. I almost bought one. Have
fun with it.

Monica ... here's a little more onm this particular fire in Anaheim Hills:

In October of 1993 a wild fire in Laguna Canyon (near where my cousin just moved in recently) and is about 30 miles away from Anaheim Hills. They had a fire which jumped a FIRE BREAK and spread into Emerald Bay and Laguna Beach burned 14,337 acreas and destoried 389 homes!

Before then and since - they have had several sizable fires in the area. As I have had several huge fires within plain sight of my home or office. I clearlyu remember once being in my office taking business calls while I watched the fire fighters working a fire roas a mere 100 yards off on a hill side with the entire sky dark from the clouds of smoke. That was maybe 10 years ago...

Fires really scare me

Good morning all. Can't stay long,have to head off to work(if I can ever get the cat in). Had a pretty good weekend at the shop,yesterday was slow but that's ok can't always have a barn burner. Kev has a train show next weekend, so I get to take care of things...Lord help me

Last week with the "darlins" and we're off for Spring Break

I'm actually pleasantly surprised at our IT folks here at the office. We got a quick email on Friday stating that they were working on uploading the patch for DST to all of our computers...Now mind you there are about 40 branches of our distributorship nationwide. Each branch has about 150-200 employees. So I'm impressed by the fact that they were able to do this (quite seamlessly, as far as I can see).

But it still didn't make it any easier to get out of bed this morning...

I have my basement windows open and it is actually pleasant. I am going to try to be crafty today and get some door signs made. And see if I can figure out a fish extender. So I will be on and off for awhile.

I am SO happy with the outcome!!!! They were dirty players and deserved to be eliminated. My 2 favorite teams are Uchenna and Joyce and the 2 gay Latino guys (can't remember their names but they used to be called Team Cha-cha-cha). Terry and Ian just make me want to scream...... they are so annoying!

I think I'll have to DVR this Amazing Race thing next weekend. It sounds interesting. You suppose we could come up with a modified version of "Amazing Race" for a cruise diversion? Then again, having NEVER SEEN an episode... should I be wondering whether we would WANT to do that at all????

Hi all! I'll be in and out today, well most of the week actually. Got some big-wigs from France coming in for meetings this week Work is seriously cutting into my DIS time

About DST ... here's my life. I got up early this am because I wanted to make sure to drive my oldest to school ... since sunrise wasn't until 7:45 this morning, I was concerned about him standing out on a main street in the dark. No need to worry, it was plenty light enough ... tomorrow he takes the bus Our computers and phones were on the wrong time for most of the morning. No huge problem, except it meant that the doors didn't automatically disarm and everyone had to manually bypass the alarms to get into the building. Yeah, I did spend a few minutes watching through the one-way glass at people fighting with the doors until they remembered to disarm them

About AR ... I was bummed out. Not that I liked that particular team, but they always gave something to talk about at the water cooler.

Well I am caught up, nice pictures everyone that posted. I wish I could be at some of those places sooner than later. My helper did not show up again today, that's 3 weeks in a row. I guess she is having a little trouble with DST. I know I am, i woke up at 8:15a.m. this morning, just in enough time to make sure DS gets on the bus. It will take me about 4-5 days to get used to it. Well I need to get some work done today. I'll check back later.

I'm studying for a job interview.
I have a phone interview this morning. Wish me luck!

What is sort of nice is that it is a job I'm interested in, but it is not the job of my dreams, so I'm not really nervous. It is a practice interview!

I hate the whole job hunt, but I'm not discouraged yet. I've only sent out about 20 resumes and I've had three 'nibbles' (phone calls or real e-mails back)

Of course I also have an e-mail folder of "Thank you for your interest, if we don't think you are a total loser, we'll contact you later, if we do think you are a total loser, we will eventually stop laughing at your resume long enough to wish you luck with your future career endeavors."

I've been with the flu since Friday...haven't even thought about touching the computer. But, I'm on the mend and yes, I've resorted to reading the summaries. I know, taking the easy way out...

Looks like spring might actually be approaching...going to 52* here today and up to the 60s Wednesday and Thursday.
