:lmao: :lmao: Very funny!:lmao: :lmao:

My poor innocent Mom once asked the difference between regular vanilla ice cream and French vanilla ice cream. I guess I forgot who I was talking to when the answer popped out of my mouth......French vanilla has tongue in it. :lmao: :lmao:
She was not amused.

OMG!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Wonder where everyone is today...:confused3

Believe it or not, I actually had to work today. Being out for two days has put me so far behind - and then my boss actually asked me if I could get two huge projects done for him by next Tuesday. Hello! I was a bit behind last week and now even more so and you want what!?!?!?! I brought stuff home with me but don't know what I'm going to get to tonight. I will definately have to do stuff over the weekend.

Since it is so slow, I thought I would post this to give everyone a chuckle!!:rotfl2: I am not saying its true but......

A Spanish teacher
was explaining to her class
that in Spanish, unlike English,
nouns are designated as either
masculine or feminine.

"House"
for instance,
is feminine:
"la casa."

"Pencil,"
however,
is masculine:
"el lapiz."

A student asked,
"What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer,
the teacher split the class into two groups,
male and female,
and asked them to decide
for themselves whether
"computer"
should be
a masculine or a feminine noun.

Each group was asked
to give four reasons
for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that
"computer"
should definitely be
of the feminine gender
("la computadora"),
because:
1. No one but their creator
understands their internal logic;

2. The native language
they use to communicate
with other computers is
incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes
are stored in long term memory
for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make
a commitment to one,
you find yourself spending
half your paych eck
on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER !)

The women's group,
however, concluded
that computers should be Masculine
("el computador"),
because:
1. In order to do anything
with them,
you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data
but still can't think for themselves;

3. They are supposed
to help you solve problems,
but half the time
they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one,
you realize that if you
had waited a little longer,
you could have gotten
a better model.

The women won

:lmao: :lmao: How true!:lmao: :lmao:

It's warm outside and I can smell Spring!

.............. and I would love some rum:cake:!

good enough reasons for me

the talk the other day about Tortuga rum cake has me seriuosly tempted to order some online.....hmm....wonder how many points a slice of that is?...heck who can stop at a slice....it'd be the whole thing :rotfl:

Anybody else really sleepy this afternoon :confused3 I cheated on my diet and had a couple of cookies at lunchtime ... I think the drain from the sugar high has caught up to me :rolleyes1 I really feel like I could put my head down on my desk and fall asleep.

I sure hope I get a second wind soon ... I've got a new workout tape waiting for me when I get home, and there's nothing worse than yawning while you're trying to do aerobics or lift weights :rotfl:

I was really bad - I didn't eat anything until dinner tonight (a bowl of chili with about 1 tablespoon of cheese and 1 1/2 tablespoons of sour cream on top). I really do need to eat more but I was so busy today trying to catch up I only left my desk twice - both times to go to the bathroom.

Just saw on the main board that DCL is notifying people that IC is not taking requests for the new ships. Can anyone else confirm?

I never got around to sending a request in. Now I guess it doesn't matter.

Make that Hazel's Depends now........................:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Actually Hazel has now started on her new medication but we have to wait and see if it starts taking effect.

We just arrived home from the mall, looks like Angelina will be starting at B-a-B "beary" soon. The 2nd interview today went very well, she was told she should hear something within the next day or two. There were six girls at the interview session today and all six of them were told they did very well with today's interview. The girls also made a bear in the store and had to make a story about the bear. :)

Keeping our fingers crossed for Angelina!

Record high of 82 degrees today here in Baltimore and the sn*w word was mentioned in the weather forcast for this week! :scared1:

We're due to get snow tomorrow night after reaching a high of 75 here today! And I didn't get to enjoy any of it!!!!!!

DC weather can be really nice. Spring is always beautiful but ......

the summers are always humid! Usually 100% humidity all summer. Even George Washington once commented about the humidity of DC. :confused3

I think I would like to experience your current locations weather for a few days but that's it.

Brack, Brack, Brack....it's really not that bad here.....

Now the year i moved here...(2002) It was so hot......(think 105...)

They were constantly having what they termed CODE RED days which meant that the smog index was up or something....

Anyway it was so hot here ...that i seriously found it cooler when we went to FL in July that year....

The last couple summers havent been that bad....

Everybody wants to be a pirate! pirate:

Even the nuns are getting in on the action!:lmao:

Yuck! I had colonoscopy a year and half ago. Had already been diagnosised with IBS and had done the med's and they seemed to work. Then one day out of the clear blue I thought I was going to die - I had the worst pain ever in my left lower stomach abdominal area. Thought it might be something girlie and went through a bunch of tests - nothing. Regular doc refers me to the specialist who run a gamut of tests on me - catscan, MRI, MRI with contrast - in the midst of all this discovered that I have gallstones (which explains my near 0 cholosterol) and something on my liver. Finally do the colonoscopy (never want to do one again!) to be told that I have nothing more than a spastic colon (TG). In the long run it's better to go through the stupid thing to make sure that it really isn't anything more serious.

Did I like doing this? NO!

Will I do it again? Absolutely!

It is so much better to know either way .... early! The quote earlier in this thread was: "Aspire to retire alive". I may have that wrong but that is the essence of it.

Actually it was: "Aspire to Inspire before you Expire" but I like mine better! :lmao:

I had a colonoscopy done last year. I promised Hazel I would get it done before I turned 51, so I had it done 6 days before my 51st birthday. I think the hardest part was drinking that stuff the day before, yuck. The doc said I shouldn't need to get another one done until I'm 60, I'm all for that!!! It wasn't nearly as  as I thought it was going to be.

This is the precription Hazel had to get filled for the IBS: Dicyclomine 10mg, she takes 1 or 2 capsules 4 times a day. Then she also has to take a 230mg Flora-Q capsule, once a day.

Has anyone heard from BIP???? I haven't seen her post in a few days.:confused3 BIP if your out there, please let us know how you are doing.:flower3:

I was wondering the same thing.

BIP, if your reading - hope you're doing better!:grouphug:

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Just sneaking in a quick peak before work this morning!!

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!!

I was just thinking of this before I fell asleep last night:

From when Judy began the thread:

1/13/07 - 2/13/07...20,000 posts that first month....and then yesterday....

2/13/07 - 3/13/07...25,000 posts during the second month

That is two pretty big landmarks on one month anniversaries!
Apparently, we are bunch that like to chat. :surfweb:

Hots not the problem. In the 6 summers in Oklahoma we had 110+degree days and one summer we had over 90 days where it reached 100+degrees everyday!

It's the humidity that gets me and it is the one reason I do not like going to WDW in the summer.

I never got around to sending a request in. Now I guess it doesn't matter.

Saw that too and hadn't gotten around to it either. Now I'll just have to cross it off the list of things to do and book a dummy date when we do the TOAL.
