Since it is so slow, I thought I would post this to give everyone a chuckle!!:rotfl2: I am not saying its true but......

A Spanish teacher
was explaining to her class
that in Spanish, unlike English,
nouns are designated as either
masculine or feminine.

"House"
for instance,
is feminine:
"la casa."

"Pencil,"
however,
is masculine:
"el lapiz."

A student asked,
"What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer,
the teacher split the class into two groups,
male and female,
and asked them to decide
for themselves whether
"computer"
should be
a masculine or a feminine noun.

Each group was asked
to give four reasons
for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that
"computer"
should definitely be
of the feminine gender
("la computadora"),
because:
1. No one but their creator
understands their internal logic;

2. The native language
they use to communicate
with other computers is
incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes
are stored in long term memory
for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make
a commitment to one,
you find yourself spending
half your paych eck
on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER !)

The women's group,
however, concluded
that computers should be Masculine
("el computador"),
because:
1. In order to do anything
with them,
you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data
but still can't think for themselves;

3. They are supposed
to help you solve problems,
but half the time
they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one,
you realize that if you
had waited a little longer,
you could have gotten
a better model.

Anybody else really sleepy this afternoon :confused3 I cheated on my diet and had a couple of cookies at lunchtime ... I think the drain from the sugar high has caught up to me :rolleyes1 I really feel like I could put my head down on my desk and fall asleep.

I sure hope I get a second wind soon ... I've got a new workout tape waiting for me when I get home, and there's nothing worse than yawning while you're trying to do aerobics or lift weights :rotfl:

And BTW, I'm glad you narrated the audio...because I don't have sound on my computer here at work. :thumbsup2

LOL...... I take my laptop with me everyday and work on some stuff at the library every day after work before my bus. I didn't let the fact that I'm in the library from not turning the sound on once I saw the first couple.

Opps. :rotfl:

This here is just a little "drive by" posting...

How did you keep the camera steady? I would have needed one of Andy's Depends!

Make that Hazel's Depends now........................:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Actually Hazel has now started on her new medication but we have to wait and see if it starts taking effect.

We just arrived home from the mall, looks like Angelina will be starting at B-a-B "beary" soon. The 2nd interview today went very well, she was told she should hear something within the next day or two. There were six girls at the interview session today and all six of them were told they did very well with today's interview. The girls also made a bear in the store and had to make a story about the bear. :)

That computer joke is hilarious!!!! :thumbsup2

Now, I MUST get just a little work done, and then I have 2 new hires coming in that I have to process this evening...

SO...I will be going now. I'll be back after dinner!! :woohoo:

Yes, I am exhausted today, and if it weren't for the 2 new hires coming in this evening, I would have been gone hours ago...

I keep thinking I'll get my second wind, but it hasn't happened yet...:lmao:

Hey, Andy...Hope Hazel's back to 100% soon. Hopefully those meds will do just the trick!
I don't know if it was just sympathy or what, but I had a mild attack myself last night...nothing ER-worthy or anything, but I must have had sympathy IBS for Hazel...:lmao:

And YAAAYYYYYY for Angelina!! I'll bet that's going to be a FUN job!! :thumbsup2

I'm fighting like crazy to stay awake right now............Hazel and I grabbed something to eat at Friendly's while Angelina went for her interview, now I'm stuffed and need a nap. On the way home from the mall our car therm was registering at 82* it's funny because two days from now, we are supposed to have rain, possibly ending as wet sn*w.

Chris, I'm so sorry to hear that, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hazel was actually given one prescription medication, the other item was an OTC medication which cost $36.00 for 30 capsules. At least the prescription medication only cost me $1.00. :thumbsup2

pirate:

Todd that was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I almost lost it when that last women screamed! :lmao:

No, they added it to the display in the window. I did see a monkey in the window display, I didn't go in the store to see if they had any pirate costumes as I didn't want to make Angelina nervous. Hazel and I sat out in the food court area after we finished eating dinner at Friendly's. Angelina and the other girls all came out with big :) though!!!

OK, it's 82* in the house and I'm nearly tempted to turn the air on.........Hazel and Angelina are on their way back out, and I think I'm going to catch a quick Power Nap.............see y'all later.............
