1) What's the FIRST thing that comes to mind that you're looking forward to about our cruise?

Locking the Blackberry and Phone in the safe and not seeing them again for two weeks. Then relaxing with all y'all.

2) What is your FAVORITE kind of DESSERT which you hope to get on the cruise?

Stupid as it sounds (ask my wife, she will tell you I'm stupid or that this is true or probably both) Mickey Bar!

3) What are your favorite hobbies (or substitute interests - if any)

My rediscovered love of photography

4) Do you have a favorite music - bands - performers - or such?

No, my CD collection (gawrsh I'm old, I have cds, not mp3s.... guess I shouldn't mention my vinyl collection) is varied, from classical to jazz to classic rock/oldies to 70's disco to country to mild rap to .....

Its whatever I'm in mood for at the time.....

However, I would never turn down opportunity to see Billy Joel, U2 or a few others.

5) Right or left handed? OR.. are we ambidexterous?

Right (and Crash must be watching Good Morning America where they were pointing out that 70% or some other large number of our Presidents have been left handed and our next President will be left handed).

For all those "do it yourself-ers" out there. I found the graphic in a book, scanned it, cleaned up the scan a little and posted it at photobucket. I'm just posting a link, since I scanned it as large as I could and it is over 400MB! I don't know if any of our pirates are still using dial-up, but if they are they wouldn't appreciate waiting for that to load up

I must say we do watch sports, though. That has been a challenge. Have you tried to sit through a major league baseball or football (not soccer for our overseas friends) game on TV? The beer and drug commercials and even car commericals can be risque . . . On of the parents has to sit though the game (DH loves this) to turn off the commericals so DS13 can enjoy the games.

Sadder yet is when you can read the players lips as they yell obscenities.

I hate shopping for swimsuits (what woman doesn't?). I found a very nice selection at Penneys,not too frumpy. Do you have Kohls where you live? They usually have some pretty nice things and and fairly reasonable prices(I have a Walmart budget). I am,to put it bluntly,short and fat! Wearing an 18W in pants,16W if they're made with spandex. Can't wear many things from the Ladies section(tops are too small) so I have to be creative. And formal wear is a whole other story! It runs a lot smaller. Just try not to get hung up on the size, I know that's hard to say because I do it all the time. I used to be a size 1-3, XS-S and 102lbs.....I'd be tickled if I was a size 14 and 140lbs now!! Anyways,try on some things that you wouldn't normally think about trying,you might be surprised! And I like to bring someone with me,usually Mom and they can give you some real feedback.

Thanks - Not sure if we have a Kohls in the city (I think the closest Penneys is in a mall somewhere outside the city). I don't own a car so subject to where I can get on Public Transportation. I usually end up at Old Navy. We have a Lane Bryant - but can never find anything I like there. With all the good comments on LandsEnd I may have to give it a shot. I am usually a 1 piece suit girl. My top tends to cause issues for a 2 piece - there is just never enough material.

Good afternoon everyone. Kenny Chesney was awesome!! He always puts on such a great show. We saw Gary Allen, LeAnn Rimes, Brooks & Dune and Kenny. Steve Miller and Sammy Hagar also preformed!! It was such a fun day.

The down side, all of the womens bathrooms backed up and eventually the water was turned off so you could not flush the toilets or wash your hands. GROSSSSS!
Women started using the mens restrooms and those were pretty yucky as well.

All in all it was a great day. My friend makes me laugh so much that my face is sore today from laughing so much!

Question about the kids club brew ha!
Am I correct that I no longer have the ability to not have my 12 yo check herself out of the kids club?
My kids have never been on a DCL cruise before. They have been ok on previous RCCL cruises but they always had a ton of cousins with them keeping an eye on them.

I love it.

I saw some really nice suits and tuxes on Ebay. But he needs to try it on, the same as me. I cannot buy clothes mailorder. The biggest expense now is his suit, shirts and shoes.

He has an ortho Dr appt today. Knee a bit swollen and I have been hearing grumbling lately. I want to set up his shots before the trip to give him the best protection on that darn knee.I know with all the walking it will flare up. I'm wondering if a cane might help?
According to what his Dr said, I have to get him his Hep A shot next week. Has anyone done the Typhus??? The helath dept recommends it. I'm thinking we will pass on this one tho.

Here in the Oklahoma City school district they open a few schools for the Summer Feeding Program. We have so many single parents and kids being raised by relatives and a lot are on assistance and a lot of them don't have a lot of money for groceries. So what they've done here is create a program whereby any child,ages 0-18 yrs. can come to a designated school and get Breakfast and Lunch,for free M-F. And it's not just cereal and milk,lunch meat sandwich and chips. Like today we're having Biscuit and Sausage,juice and milk for breakfast. Lunch will be Hot Chicken Patty/ Bun,Tater Tots, Fruit and Milk. Thursday is Spaghetti and Breadsticks.
The program runs (this year) from June 9-July 25.

Nothin like that here!

If you are looking for which nights are formal, semi-formal, etc., its in the day by day title for each section on the boards. All other nights are "cruise casual"

If you are looking for packing lists, I think they are in the itinerary section.

You can use the search feature at the top too on the boards, it works there.

It's a variation of the old 'no soap radio' gag. You get together with some of your friends and then you tell the joke to a group of people. Your friends laugh as if it is the funniest thing they have ever heard. The other people either laugh along because they don't want to look like they don't get it or stand there confused. Meanwhile you and your friends are laughing so hard trying to explain it to them.

We used to do this all the time in high school. Because we were young. and stupid. But I repeat myself, I already said we were in high school.

Here's some real humor for you:

Three women are trying to get a job with the CIA. The interviewer tells them they are all qualified, but has one last task for them. He leads them to a room with three doors and there's a gun on the table in the middle of the room. He says 'we have each of your husbands sitting in a chair behind one of these doors. I need you to take the gun and go in the room and shoot your husband."

The first woman refuses to do so and is dismissed.
The second woman takes the gun and goes to the door, but on sight of her husband, turns around and hands the gun back and she is dismissed.
The third woman takes the gun and goes into her husband's room. Three loud shots are heard, then some yelling and sounds of a struggle and then several loud crashes are heard.

I would think you would be ok with that. My doesn't float up and my sister had one that didn't float up as well. I think she wore men's board shorts/swim shorts with her top. I like it!
