Orders for Wristbands Are Now Open
and will close on Saturday, June 14th.

Basic Information.
Wristband will be available for .55 cents each. This is based on ordering 500. We have a head count close to 400, so extra will be ordered to get to 500. Who knows we may go beyond that!

Text on the wristband will read DCL 2008 PANAMA CANAL and have a small skull & crossbones on the left side of the text. (This was the winning text in the poll)

SizesWristbands come in 3 sizes:
L = 8 inches
M = 7.5 inches
S= 7 inches
To get an idea of the size you can cut a strip of paper to the above measurements and try it around your wrist. This will give you an idea of how it will fit once on your wrist. Remember the wristband will stretch to go over the wide part of your hand, but the paper strip won’t!

Colors
Choices are Red/Black or Lime Green (For the DIS fans, sorry Todd!)
You can mix and match sizes and colors. Just state the quantity of each size and colored desired.

Delivery
If you want your order delivered before the cruise I can mail them out to you. Up to 4 wristbands can be mailed in a business size envelope for 1st class postage. ( I will have to figure out postage on larger amounts) I will PM you with addy and postage info after I place the order. Or I can deliver them on the ship or DL resort area pre-cruise.

Payment
If you would like your wristbands delivered on the ship we can settle up than. If you would like them mailed to you pre-cruise a check will work.

So please go to ORDER WRISTBANDS to order yer wristbands!

If I have forgotten anything, let me know!

Thank you to everyone who have already placed orders! Just a reminder. Keep those orders rolling in!

Hey everyone I wanted to let you know some information I just found out about Airline check in on the ship. If you are flying a carrier that charges for the second bag of checked luggage, you will not be able to check more than one bag when you do your airline check in. You will have to either put the second bag out and get it in the terminal or just take it off the ship with you and go through customs. You'll have to check the extra bag at the airport and pay the applicable fees. I'm checking to see if the carrier allows you to pay online for the second bag in advance if you will be allowed to check two, but I don't have an answer yet on that.

I hope they fly us back on Southwest, but DCL won't send us our return air info until about 30 days prior to departure.

We did the onboard baggage check last year and it was great not to deal with bags until we got home.

I could be wrong but I don't think that DCL uses SW at all for their flights

I think it was just a matter of time since WDW has had this in affect for a few weeks now. Thanks for the info

You're right. We're flying to LAX with SW, but arranged that ourselves. Now I'll have to see which carrier they put us on last year.

Andy

I hope all of you are doing well!

I am off from work today, but need to work tomorrow. I feel like being a total bum. But I must do important things like getting passport photos printed so I can renew my passport for Cartagena. Plus some other errands. I really should clean as well, but I do not know if that will happen.

The airlines used by DCL are NWA, Continental, Delta and US Air.

I have a question to everybody, or at least those that are online now. LOL

The t-**** orders....is everyone buying them for the ENTIRE family or group, or just for the adults in your party??
I am trying to decide to order the embarkation t-shirts for my whole family, or just for Jared and I. Is anyone buying the embarkation shirts for the kids?

I got both colors for both of us

This was in the All Ears Newsletter
You can contact the vendor that Disney uses to pay the extra fees.

This also applies if you are staying on property..

Patch Swap

Please send me a PM if you are interested in participating in the patch swap. Or go to this thread to share your ideas or to participate. You would bring a patch or patches from your area and swap with others for patches from their areas.

This could either be done by just dropping patches off at each others staterooms or perhaps we could pair it up with one of the badge sessions. Let me know what you think.

Some people may decide to swap with everyone, even though they might not receive something in return.

Please PM me the following information if you want to participate or post in this thread.

Just a fast thanks for all your prayers for DD!!!      Surgery went okay but a lot longer recovery time than expected!!!:worried: :worried: :( :worried: Dear grandchildren must know I am getting older and were wonderful although they are a lot to keep up with at the park.:lovestruc

Cheryl - so glad it went well! (give me a call sometime when you are less busy so we can chat!)

Take a look at this handy little tool - I am still unsure about it as I love to have books but we are out of room and my boxes of books are now in our attic

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=401927101&pf_rd_i=507846

Like some others, I'm just not sure I would be comfortable not having an actual book in my hands. I'm also not happy that the format is proprietary, so if I want to use my books on a different device 10 years from now it could be a big problem. I might ignore these problems if the device was $100 or less, but for $350 I'm just not willing to experiment...

Thank you so much for looking into this! I was worrying that they might refuse to take ANY of the luggage if you had more than 1 per person. I have an email from AirTran that says we do not have to pay for the 2nd bag (since we purchased our tickets in January) but I assume we'll have to have that discussion at the airport with an agent there. Right now, I am hoping we will only have 4 checked bags for the 3 of us (I may be crazy - but I THINK it is do-able!) so we will only have 1 to cart around.

I just checked all our flight times again. So far, United hasn't messed with our flight out to California. AirTran hasn't messed with our return flight since they changed it a couple weeks ago. I'm still not happy that we aren't flying out until 5PM now -the original flight was at 1:30 and was a big part of the reason we booked with AirTran! I haven't flown with them for about 15 years and I think it is pretty unlikely I will fly with them again after this.

We have DCL transfers to get us to the airport, but I haven't got a clue what we are going to do ALL DAY LONG while we wait for a 5PM flight. I doubt we'll even be allowed to check in the extra bag when we get there in the morning! Anyone else going to be at MCO all day? Maybe we could have a final party :lmao:

Thank you to everyone who have already placed orders! Just a reminder. Keep those orders rolling in!

I'll get our orders in as soon as I measure a couple wrists! I'm not sure what size to get for DH & DS, so I'll check that out tonight....

Pamela

pdarrah:
Our flight doesn't leave until 6 pm. We are renting a car (cheaper than DCL transfers) and going to Downtown Disney or a waterpark for the day. I can't sit at the airport that long then fly for 6 hours too. My kids would be nuts! Anyway, those are our plans for the rest of the day.

Just an FYI. If anyone in your party has any medical conditions you feel DCL should be aware of, there is a form on the site under My Online Check In you can download.

Let there be light! We have power. YAY!

Here's my last 24 hours or so...
Yes, we have big, beautiful, 'mature', giant trees...

This is what happens when said big beautiful trees loose a branch
2008-06-04_14-07-16.jpg

Notsobad, considering what happened down the street
2008-06-05_08-33-43.jpg

Thus the reason we didn't have power - that's a tree laying on the road and a power line 1/2 block from our house. Similar situation smashed a car 2 streets over.

Oh well, tomorrow we'll be at Busch Gardens.

Very scary M! Glad everyone is okay!

Glad surgery went well! Sorry she will have a long recovery!

Just another really quick check-in. I have my bags packed, have to get DS's done tomorrow. We leave early Saturday morning for San Pedro.
Not sure yet if I'll do a trip report in that section of the DIS, or if I'll just post on the 6-8-08 Magic & Mickey to Mexico thread. I'll try to let you know, in case you have questions. Otherwise, check both sites. :thumbsup2

I'm soooooo ready......and soooooooooooooo excited!

Woohoo! Have fun! :woohoo:

Showoff!!!:lmao:

I will make the tags all the same and when it comes to personalization people can put whatever they like....::yes::
(I will start in July asking for names etc....)

Chrissie

Chrissie when I made plastic badges for the double dip cruise, I just left them blank & let people put whatever they wanted on them with a sharpie & it worked out great.
