I actually look for certain trailers or previews to make sure they are on the new released movies. I also do sneak peaks(a new movie to be released soon), audience reations to trailers, capacity checks, comprehensive checks(view movie to make sure it is a good print),check to see which version of a trailer is playing, handing out surveys and anything else the studios give me to do!!

Yesterday I hired people to view each print of Kung Fu Panda to make sure the quality was good. I did first shows(I had to make sure certain trailers were on the movie at the very first screens of the day, and I had to hand out surveys after certain screens!!!

Does any of this make sense??:confused3 :confused3

(

That sounds awesome - how do you get a job like that? Seriously I am looking for something extra to supplement our income - feel free to pm me

As to your question on the luggage - not 100% sure but I think what will happen is that they will take the 1 bag that is allowed and check it in for you. The other bags will go into the customs area which you would have to retrieve yourself

Yes..it's the ice works. I was trying to calculate for Saturday...if the game is over by 11:30am, we'd only have about 4-1/2 hours...I don't know if the aquarium would be doable because it looks like we're about 45 minutes away (1-1/2 hour roundtrip) :confused3

Thanks again.

You'll be pretty close to I-95, but I think 45 minutes door to door is a good estimate. (unless there's something going on in Philly).

Got through the storms fine, but we got a lot of rain. Over 5 inches now and it's not supposed to stop raining for a week :scared1: The only problem yesterday was that my phone died in the storm....Oh wait, that wasn't because of the storm, that was because of Cheryl  :lmao: :lmao:

I have made a few calls on this and I'll make some more tomorrow (the department I need is closed on the weekends) because I'm getting conflicting information. I think eventually this is the way it will happen, but so many people are grandfathered in or can pay online in advance, it will be interesting to see how they handle it in the meantime. When United first was charging for the second bag, I called them and they said nothing will change. United might say they are charging for the second bag, but we will still be accepting two bags. Now they are saying one bag from people taking certain airlines. We've got lots of time for this to change many, many more times and I will stay on top of the changes from DCL.

I will not skate with a fox
I will not skate in a box
I will not skate in a house
I will not skate with a mouse
I will not skate here or there
i will not skate anywhere!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I broke my leg in March roller skating with my kids and I'm just now off crutches and casts so..............he he he.

D'oh :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Final camera purchase before TOAL :woohoo:

After looking at some of the time lapse transits of the Panama Canal on Youtube, I started looking for a camera which could shoot frames every second or so, which I could then turn into a time lapse movie of the transit.

Fortunately Canon makes a few P&S cameras which have this feature built in. Yesterday a 12% off coupon from Best Buy landed in my inbox, so off to the store I went.

I picked up a Canon IS870, which will shoot a frame every 1 or 2 seconds and spit out a .avi file

I've found a couple of cool mounts which will either attach to a railing or suction mount to glass/metal. Add a safety tether and I should be good to go.

Nope, Susan nixed the 5 day :( She doesn't want to pull Sarah out of school and I don't think she'll let me do it solo.

Gosh, we've come a long way!

This made me pause to reflect on something I was chatting about with old friends tonite. It seems we were sort talking about fancy weddings - how in one case there were 1600+ people attending one unusually extravegant wedding - < wow > .... and in another case the wedding was paid for by the kids and really quite modest. And then essentially - it boiled down to how there was a grand progression of there always being someone else who had greater wealth then so and so - and how behind everyone there always was someone else who had a little less.

Can you BELIEVE the money people spend on weddings today????? Joel110 and I paid for our wedding (that's what happens when you are almost 30 before you marry :goodvibes)......I think he and I both knew we'd spend more on "honeymoon" (memories and all that jazz) before paying 1000 on a wedding dress you wear once! What's worse is that SOOOOOO many of these expensive weddings do not result in a marriage that lasts more than 5 years......WOW......when you spend 10,000 on a wedding and only stay married 5 years you are obviously looking at 2,000 a year.....hum....that is about the cost of a DIS cruise....ahhhhhh.....I'll take the cruise :) :) :) :) :)

I just wanted to pop in and say that waiting till the last day to pack for a week long business trip is never a good idea :rolleyes1 ARGH! And I actually should be making a mad dash to the mall to buy clothes not be on the disboards! LOL

We did not get any rain for the last week here!!:( :(

Sounds like the secret shopping that I do.

We got a tiny bit one day but it wasn't even enough that I could skip watering the lawn!

Um.... question not answered I don't think? because there has definitely been new posts each time I come back to disboards- on this thread. are you kidding me? as if.... LOL
that was my point- that it was so hard to find where I left off, on this very busy (obviously!) thread because i couldn't find my last post. So that explanation of no arrow if no new posts isn't working for me...... becasue there are so many new posts and pages of posts- I can't even find my last post. It would take me like an hour to go page by page back until I find my post. that was the whole point of me saying I couldn't find my last post. LOL
where are y'all seeing the blue arrow? maybe it doesn't show for everyone? how weird.

Oh and I was gonna say-sorry to those getting too much rain! We haven't had any here- not that I'm complaining (except the water bill to keep our grass from dying is gonna kill us LOL) we've had some really hot sunny weather lately. hope the rain stops before you guys get TOO flooded! If you aren't already. :( OmG I know what it's like to have too much rain and flooded backyard with a foot of standing water/pool flooded with dirt and rain from the flooding, etc. :(

Hehe I set a new link in my favorites every time I close the window!

Wow we average about 12 inches of precip per YEAR. And it's better here than other parts of the state since I live in the mountains!
