It appears they haven't opened up any new reservations for anything.... All of the excursions that were sold out are still showing sold out. No brunch, no tea....

I figure it if were 4 of us, we would tip $20, since there are 7 of us, I do double...if that is too much, that is fine with me. I am trying really hard to stay in my budget this time....who am I kidding, it will never happen...

You mean there are *budgets* for vacations.....:confused3 I'm so confused by that word!!! In most things DH and I are not big spenders....but....when it comes to Disney.... the sky seems to be the limit! :rotfl:

We are going to cancel it and try it on our own...we have the more expensive one booked right now and if I recall correctly, it will cost us ...MATH ALERT....

59 times 6 equals 334 plus I think $40ish for DD3, plus I assume we would need a tip of about $40. So this is over $400 we will not spend. I am happy to save that money for a most likely bad excursion. We will wing it and see how it goes...

:scared1: I agree, that's a lot of money for that excursion.

mostly the folks in chat were hoping for more Palo ressies, but as you all found out, nothing is avail

Todd is trying for a different time for Dolphins in Cabo, but nothing there either.

I don't think they opened any new slots for anyone.

We were trying to get on the PV Dolphin swim but still showing nothing available. I've been obsessively checking over the last couple weeks and pretty much knew all the excursions that were full and it appeared the same tonight. I think you are correct no new slots for anyone :sad2:

yeah, how much ??

I normally tip $5 or $10 for us. I don't know how much Dh tips...... The $10 would only be if it was an all day long tour or he went out of his/her wayfor some reason. A half day would only be $5. If that is cheap of me...so be it! LOL!

FOr whatever its' worth... Alicia and I "wing" everything and 95% of the time are happy as 2 bugs in a rug!

still no Palo brunch or tea reservations :worried:

I tried too, no luck for me either. I hope the first timers get what they want..they must be so excited for their first Disney Cruise!!!

I know you guys are in chat, but report back here what you were able to get.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I read on another thread that they book the Palo room for large parties at the 30 day mark. Sometimes they cancel the reservations of people who booked into the larger group, sometimes they don't (essentially allowing two reservations). Checking at the 29 or 30 day mark is worth a try.

If I were a first time cruiser and on this cruise, I'd be very disheartened if I logged on tonight and many of the good excursions (absolutely no dolphins except the encounter) were not available....

Loved the trip report. Sounds much like our experience. It was super cool, we saw all the things you did. Although our real astronaut did have a line. We were able to get a picture with him anyway.

I had planned the trip already, but then DS's school announced a science fair. They hadn't done them for a few years. I urged DS to do something about space shuttles knowing he would have a great way to do some research. He loved the trip.

Then fast forward a few years and I surprised him with a week at Space Camp in Huntsville. He's gone twice now. He has wanted to be an astronaut since the Columbia disaster. Odd that such a disaster would make him want to do that job? I've done whatever I could to encourage this dream. He's held on to it for 5 years now. For a kid his age to have a consistent dream like that, I figure he's pretty into it.

Good for DS! We live about 10-15 minutes from the Johnson Space Center here in Houston so, as you can imagine, the space program is a very big deal around here. We have many friends and neighbors who work out at NASA. As a matter of fact, a neighbor two doors down is an astronaut. He's been up 3 times (once as the mission commander) and I think he's scheduled to go up again later this year in October.

WOW - I'm a DE teacher and was talking to someone at school about the cruise and she said that her DBIL and family were going on a 15 day cruise through the PC in Aug. I said,"I'm on that cruise, too." Wow...maybe it is me...pirate: I do read more than I post (only been part of the pirates for 5 weeks) - it is the end of the school year and things are crazy:dance3: Hopefully we can meet on the boards and on board.
I've seen you post, so you're only a part time lurker/part time poster;)

Ok Salem is out but Williamsburg - probably will do. Jamestown we will be passing on - I need more time in the Smithsonians!
Williamsburg is lots of fun:thumbsup2 Dialady lives around there.

OMG, I thought you were talking about voices in your head !!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Spoke with my mom. My dad will be having surgery on June 19th. The doctor didn't have any misgivings about the surgery. Said my dad would handle it just fine. It will be an outpatient procedure. And, my dad has had an outie belly button his whole life, a big one too. Well, since they'll be in there already, they are going to fix that too.
Yeah they are better these days about reducing the risk of surgery-glad the report is good:thumbsup2

OK, back to my homework.
So, friends, what are my weaknesses? And, would it be wrong to tell the vice president that at this stage in my life they're really choices, not weaknesses?
Isn't that a trick question. You're suppose to make one of your strengths sound like a weakness:confused3

I was mentioning the Ladies Tiara event - and as I understand it - I think she'd like to join the ladies for this if you'll let her join the Tiara gang! Of course, now this means she'll have to go shopping for a Tiara - and that means she'll have to comb through dozens of stores in pursuit of the best deal right? ( sigh ) :duck:
Claire's Boutique:thumbsup2

You work too hard. You sometimes work too many hours and need to remember to schedule "me time." You often have to remind yourself not to bring work home more than 4 nights per week. Come on, you know how to work your own PR, don't you?;)
That's what I meant:thumbsup2

I asked for one during my c-section. No one thought I was serious.
I was.
No, you need a plastic surgeon for the tummy tuck. The OBGYN is just pleased if they manage to put you back together without a humongous scar:confused3

Ya gotta say it right, though:

"I curse like a :eek:in' sailor."

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :thumbsup2

My 90 day reservations for the 5 night cruise were easy as could be . . . got everything I wanted by 12:05 . . . what the heck happened that night we tried to book for this cruise?:rotfl2: :faint:

We had problems.... i was locked out. Finally able to get in and brunch was gone.... that's all we wanted. I figue we will be on the ship already so we'll have a good spot in line to try and get one...

Cheryl, if your staying at DL prior to, they don't begin to leave until 12 noon. Which is making me rethink my DCL transport - I really didn't want to get there that late.

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it's getting to the ship later than I'd like. On the other hand, my understanding is we'll be doing check-in at the hotel, so by the time we get there we should be able to just walk on the ship.

Plus, the later departure makes for an extra early morning in the park....

That's on my To-do list this week! LOL! I spent the day with Samantha & Claire at Hawaiina Falls (they opened one less then 4 min from my house!!!) Poor Elvis still had a sunburn on his shoulders from Friday.
Of course we want to see it!! LOL! DH buys me way too much jewelry as it is! I am not a big jewelry person. He goes to Hong Kong once a year.....But, I do love to see what others buy! :thumbsup2

You can just call her George for short!!:thumbsup2 A really nice person!!::yes::

We're sticking with it. DCL has 2 months to fix it (and I really want to see the divers).

Andy

The only problem is I wish the ship was going to make more stops in Acapolco but alas the WB was DCL first try and we will be the second one.:( :(

I was thinking the same thing! We will have lots of fun!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

You will love Stephanie.............she talks more than I do. So when you meet me in July.............you will say that is impossible!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I read on another thread that they book the Palo room for large parties at the 30 day mark. Sometimes they cancel the reservations of people who booked into the larger group, sometimes they don't (essentially allowing two reservations). Checking at the 29 or 30 day mark is worth a try.

So you all be hoping I get my Private bruch and I know for sure there will be at least 3 reservations opening up for brunch!!!:hyper: :hyper:

I missed a lot of the last thread.

based on the WB cruise, is everyone cancelling the DCL cliff divers excursion?

Mr. Emerald ?? Did I miss anything?
Still waiting on Mr.Emerald. Holding on to the DCL cliff diver excursion for a little while to see if reports change:confused3

Actually they were also on an end cap at our local bookstore & not with the teen books & there was no description to indicate that it was geared towards teens. I think anybody would assume it was an adult book. My DD insisted all her friends were reading it, but I asked at the counter if it was appropriate for a 14 y/o & they assured me it was.
Yeah, there is nothing in these books that is inappropriate for teens. And they are still good;) My DSiL told me that they are making the first book into a movie.

Tom I saw this for you and could not resist!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
