Last summer on the Med Repo - I indulged in a session w/trainer on the Magic and he set up a program for me - it started w/walking up from deck 1 then a session on the treadmill and then weights circuit.
I didn't gain any weight over the 14 days of Over Indulgence!!

I also saw a trainer on our Med cruise. Between the excursions (lots of walking), some time in the fitness center, and using stairs almost exclusively during the cruise, I actually (to my astonishment) lost weight on the cruise.

Of course, the real reason for this is probably that chocolate smoothies on DCL are magical and have negative calories.... :rolleyes1

Wow! Your Mom is doing great to still be alive.
Miserable isn't it? I am soooo dreading my electric bill next month. :faint:

We have no a/c here so our bill will be great.

You might pass out from a heat stroke if you ran this afternoon! I so want to ride my new bike...but, it is so HOT! LOL! And early in the morning there is so much traffic -- a man & woman were killed near us a couple of weekends ago while riding their bikes......

I started riding last week... Did Thursday and thought I was gonna die before I got to the stop sign 2 houses over :lmao: Kept going though... Day 2, I went twice as far. It was soooooo cold (I went out at 6am because I have to be back before DD (18mo) wakes). I had on long legs, long sleeves, jacket, ear warmers! Then nothing Saturday and yesterday DH wanted to hike for Father's day so we went on a 6 mile hike. Slept in today so I'll go tomorrow! REALLY trying to set a huge goal to achieve by the end of the summer.

Sounds good to me. I'm not sure I'll be doing the treadmill and the weights, but maybe a few laps around a deck and taking stairs between decks. And I'm of the firm belief that when on vacation I am on a see-food diet, I see food, I eat it! Everything has negative calories when you are not in your home zip code, area code, country, etc.! :cool1:

I've meant to ask, does your FI know that you know?

Nope. I'm still playing along like I don't know. But I think he may tell me a couple weeks before. I did find out that he's trying to work out a limo for us up to the port! Hopefully I'll be arriving in style! :lovestruc

Kevin and I were married 29 years ago today. But we'll be doing our real celebrating while we're on the ship in Aug.

Isn't that the truth!!! When we were out today, taking 17dd to the orthodontist, youngest dd (Claire) says *The park is empty*. me *It's a 100 degrees sweetie, everyone is in their houses!*
10ds was getting a little peeved because I wouldn't go here there and yonder today! UGH! It's hot, I want to go home! LOL!

Always knew ours was a princess! She's growing out of that now though. We did catch that in the original movie, but a bigger feature in Little Mermaid 3?! We'll look for that one!

(BTW, our Alana is pronounced Ah-la-na.)

You may very well hear that pronunciation being echoed on our cruise....

It's kinda funny in my family.
We are extremely healthy. There is absolutely no heart problems or cancer and we live for a long time and then just die!
But... no one has any hair and we go deaf and blind
. Not sure if we are lucky or not! :rotfl2:

This just cracked me up!

Less for some of us :goodvibes :goodvibes Only 5 1/2 days 'til I get to meet Cheryl :cool1: :cool1:

Have fun! We just love her and John!

Hello, just cautiously poking my head out from under this rock to see if this week will be better. Our house is back actively on the market, and someone wants to come and see it on Wednesday. The good news is that someone wants to see it ... the bad news is we're back into living in "spotless" mode :rotfl2:

I hope all the Dad's out there had a Happy Father's Day. We took DH out for the afternoon, collecting football equipment for our youngest, scoping out a new development to potentially build our next home, fantasy shopping for flat-screen TV's (decided we need a new house to know which TV will fit ::yes:: ) and had a nice late lunch/early dinner out.

I'll cross my fingers and toes for y'all! Here's praying that all of us that have houses for sale get contracts that close before the cruise!

Congrats! I wanted to start with a trainer after we got engaged, but never could come up with the $$ for it. But I've been doing a strength training and then abs class 2x's a week for the past few months. When I first picked up my wed dress 3 months ago, I had this unsightly fat hanging over the top of the bodice. I had my first fitting last Thursday and it's almost all gone (or at least hidden enough!). ;) Only a two more months to go and my only goal is to maintain my weight, tone up, and stay healthy!

That's great!!!!

It's really a good thing that I have a good metabolism -- granted after age 45 things do slow down some! -- because if I didn't I would be very overweight! I love food and hate to sweat!!!

I also saw a trainer on our Med cruise. Between the excursions (lots of walking), some time in the fitness center, and using stairs almost exclusively during the cruise, I actually (to my astonishment) lost weight on the cruise.

I lost 10lbs on the 10nt -- I don't eat desserts.... I'm too full from dinner! And I don't eat in between meals (on the cruise), drink only water and I walk all over the place! LOL!
DH does nothing but eat on the cruise!! LOL! He tries to have 4 meals a day on the cruise.....And he drinks..... several *drinks of the day* and a bottle of wine with dinner...... He's over 6' and thin...... He is going to have to really try not to gain any weight on the cruise -- he'll need to fit into his clothes! LOL!

We have no a/c here so our bill will be great.

Happy Anniversary! I hope that Mike and I will make it just as long, if not even longer. It's so great to hear of couples being married for a long time and still going strong.

IMO...there are too many people using divorce as an easy out of a relationship that takes a little extra work. I'm not saying divorce is bad, but I have too many friends and others I know who have given up on their relationships and divorced instead of trying to work things out.

(I'll get off my soapbox now.)

Tracy, what does the WINO stand for?

I like wine. I have a wine cellar. No, I don't drink out of a paper bag :lmao:

Tracy are you coming to Chi later this week??? Drats.. I'd invite myself along but i am going to the chocolate buffet on Friday.. :thumbsup2 so i'll still be downtown until Saturday.. and about 10 lbs fatter from the chocolate..

Yep, on Sunday. I'm meeting Cheryl and John before the DISUnplugged meet at Woodfield Mall. We're going to see the DVC store and the Disney Store and then a late lunch at Ginos. Can't wait!!

BTW is 90 by madision still closed?/ Our Boy scout troop had to go the Milwaukee way to get to wild rose - camp napowan -

It's open again. Depends on where you are going though. At least this morning I39 from where it splits with I90/94 to Hwy 16 in Portage was still closed, but I90/94 is completely open. If you're going to Wild Rose, there are other ways to get there other than Milwaukee.

That's so sweet!

Congratulations!

Mine too.. she was not even 5' and at the most 95 lbs.. but she had the belly.. a lady on the train said that we get a belly as we get older.. seems it has to do with lower metabolism and estrogen..

I was thinking about this very thing at lunch today.. here i am shaped like an apple.. big belly.. and flappy arms.. just a sight to see.. but anyway.. if i diet for the next 2 months, i may loose a lb or 2 plus ( i did this 2 years ago for a cruise) because i had dieted I was not able to eat all of the meals plus i wasn't able to really enjoy my meal and dessert and all of the little snacks... but if i don't diet then i will be in shape for all of the eating i am going to do on the cruise.. such a thing to ponder ..:scratchin  pirate:

Practice make perfect!

Afternoon everyone! This work thing is really cutting into my DISing! :lmao: Oh well. I made ADR's or whatever they are called for Goofy's Kitchen and Blue Bayou. Only 61 days left till the cruise. Only 58 days till we leave! I gotta start making lists!:rotfl2:

I need to start my lists too...
:cool1: That is awesome! I am proud of you. Keep up the good work. I think a few of us are talking about getting together in the morning to walk/jog around the ship. Are you also interested?:cool1:
I will join you.

I will be home tomorrow since out plasma tv decided to loose its picture on Sunday... the dumb add service company cannot give me a time frame until 9 am tomorrow - I questioned thier " conveinent service times" as described while on hold. It is really hard to go from the 42' HD to a 19" fishbowl!!!!

But I can get so much accomplished for the cruise :)
