I notice we seem to have quite a few young girls that are bridging from Brownies to Juniors this year! (mine included!) I was wondering if any of them would be interested in maybe trying to earn a Junior badge while on board. I would be willing to put it all together and run it. I haven't looked throufgh the book yet to see if there is an appropriate one, but I bet we could find something!

DD is going to try for her world friend or maybe it's called world travel;ler. I guess tho' our badges are called something different to yours

I found this cute patch and we can get it changed to a different wording...cost would depend on the amount of girl participating but any age can wear it on their vest. It could be given out for paticipating in the badge event onboard as well as help them earn a badge or part of a badge...

I would have to order these in the next week or so to make sure they come in on time.

I was able to get confirmation that When Mickey Dreams is out, but nothing about Toy Story. In fact, all of the CMs I have spoke to on this said they think that is highly unlikely (due to the sets and space limitations). I'll keep asking though.

At any rate, does anyone like the idea of doing something in the last 2 weeks of June or 1st 2 weeks of July? PM one another about dates that work for a saturday or sunday?

Oh .. another thing I'd like to sugest. At the Regan Library on the nearest 4th of July weekend they run all kinds of family friendly diversions (crafts mostly, games and a couple simple perfromances and maybe re-enactments.)... PLUS... a few nice freebies... including FREE MAGIC MOUNTAIN PASSES .. given away last year! OK... I actually just got an email from a friend about this.. here is what the memo says about it:

10:00 AM - 03:00 PM (5 hours) - This 4th of July, come celebrate our Nation's 232nd birthday with music, family entertainment, presidential look a-likes, face painting, storytelling and children's games. Enjoy all-American food while listening to a rousing patriotic concert by the Los Angeles Police Department Concert Band. All 4th of July activities are free, however, regular admission rates apply for those visitors who also visit the Museum exhibits. Free Family Entertainment: Games, Crafts, Storytelling, Bouncers, Historical re-enactors, and Patriotic bands.

We usually get there an hour before it opens and have a little picnic on the front lawn (where picnic tables are) ... then we sort of go through as a loosely managed mob from point to point. Wanna meet up fer this? It's right in the middle between the 3 of us.

Afterwards - some of us go to the Jans Mall parking structure to get our WRIST BANDS to re-enter later. Attendance is strictly limited to a specific number of people. They run a few community concessions up there too and it's a great spot to observe the CITY FIREWORKS off the adjacent hill. We park in the structure and maybe can catch some thing lite for dinner if anyone is inclined. AS we all know - our local Bucca de Beppo is there. < wink > but we don't have to dine there - in fact, in past years we just got a box from L&L Hawaiian BBQ and ate where we had staked out a spot on the parking structure to observe the fireworks.

I understand this is a rigid proposal - so consider it an open invitation to join us for any or all as it suits your schedule. And this is open to anyh DIS neighbors within driving distance IF these proposals seem appealing. There is NO guarantee they will give Magic Mountian passes away again... however we got them last year - and were told they did it the year before too.

Mine isn't bridging but is still a Jr. - I think that would be great! I would be happy to help if you need anything.

DD14 is moving up to Seniors, so I guess I'll be lloking into that too!

I just called again and they said that it isn't currently on the WB and that the other agents must have just read off the list for both the Magic and Wonder. They haven't gotten notification of what will be replacing when Mickey Dreams yet

Wow! You guys are talking too fast. Well the weekend is over and we survived. DD's dance recital went well. DD'd sb team also went to batting cages this weekend to practice. Attempted to clean the house. DD made a pathway thru her room! Now to ketchup up!

hi everyone! happy monday! i guess i'm not able to keep up here...so i'll just check in and say hello!!
i need to vent for a min too, cuz if i don't vent here, i may say something not nice at home! LOL! i had to get my computer looked at over the weekend...was infected with some nasty stuff! my friend's dad is usually the one who fixes it for me. well, she took my comp to him on friday and brought it back yesterday...all fixed!! yeah!!
funny thing is.....i went into my history...and i believe her curiosity got the best of her...she looked at my yahoo mail account. i don't normally log off of it, cuz it's my home computer. when i went into my history....the only thing visited was the spyware site her dad visited and my yahoo mail...and it was the sent emails that i know she would be interested in! she is curious (NOSEY) about a few friends that i email, and those are the ones that were looked at! i'm stunned to say the least...but i don't want to say anything to her....and start problems. she acts a bit funny...but has no idea that i know she looked. ugh!! ok...sorry...just had to get it outta my system, before i say something to her that is really negative!

17dd would still be wearing sweatshirts & hoodies at 80degrees! LOL! She's like her dad...she likes it when it is over 95...... Yesterday it was at least 95 (and pretty humid!!!) and DH was roller blading (he skates at full speed the entire time) while 17dd rode my new bike.......
I told DH that if he wanted to blade while I biked it would have to be early in the morning when it was still under 90!





I am trying to plan our WDW trip (we will be there the 1st - 4th)... Right now I'm thinking Epcot then Hollywood Studios (they have the late EMH that night). But, I go back and forth between Epcot & AK......... Or maybe Hollywood Studios the entire time.... ACK!!!!

I know I'm not going to MK on Labor Day!

Good to know...no MK for us! I am thinking the Studios...we love Rock N Roller coaster and Tower of Terror...

So, that may be the way we need to go...

Need your thoughts and prayers for my father today. He's got an appt with a surgeon to determine whether or not he needs surgery for a hernia. My concern is that my dad is 84 years old. I don't know how he'd pull through surgery. He was just put on blood pressure medication last month. He's fairly healthy other than memory loss, but he's getting pretty old now.

You wayward and independent pirates who wish to provide yer own item fer printing (DIY Option)... ye must haver yer order in by Wednesday, and yer soft goods must be in my hands by Friday. I be deliverin' them to the printer on Saturday.

Orders of any kind close next Tuesday the 10th of June. So far we have about 350 soft goods in the order log. We'll be a well clad bunch o' pirates, we will.

DCL really does take the cake when it comes to giving out misinformation, doesn't it? I really don't understand why a company that does so many things brilliantly does a few things so stupidly (booking issues, entertainment schedule, etc.).
