Make it a challenge to ride at least 1 E Ticket ride in each park.

we have done that.. called it the highlights tour.. made a list of the top rides in each park that we wanted to do and then hustled.. but it is very doable.. only one we had to drive to was AK.. otherwise we parked and monorailed, boated and walked from one park to another.

Need your thoughts and prayers for my father today. He's got an appt with a surgeon to determine whether or not he needs surgery for a hernia. My concern is that my dad is 84 years old. I don't know how he'd pull through surgery. He was just put on blood pressure medication last month. He's fairly healthy other than memory loss, but he's getting pretty old now.

Your Dad is in my prayers.

Monica -

Will say a prayer for your dad.

When we had FL resident passes parking was not included. Thanks for the heads up.

That explains it then.... FL ones don't include ... other 49 states pay higher pass rate but get free parking at least.

I would like to thank captaincrash and goofyonthehiseas for the wonderful beach bbq. We had a great time. We would love to do it again! The pictures are great. Thanks Tom and Roger! And yes, Tom, I saw the dolphins too!:cool1:
Too bad no picture of them.....:confused3

You got it Monica. :wizard: Let us know how your Dad makes out, ok? My Dad put off hernia surgery a few years back, because the recovery would interfere with golfing ;)

Someone started posting Navs from the WB.

On one of the days for attire it says "Formal (No Shorts)"

I thought we couldn't (and I use that loosely) wear shorts to dinner? Can we wear shorts to dinner?

I am so confused!:confused3

Chrissie

That's what I thought too... DH says he is going to try to wear his khaki looking shorts though. Maybe I can talk him out of that...

Monday night/Tuesday morning 12:01am ET.

Thanks... We spent all day yesterday trying to sort out what we wanted to do since DU's website was telling me that we could book today (That today is 75 days...)

I can fix a leaky faucet, install a toilet, change a tire and the oil in my car, install a ceiling fan, re-wire my dryer, install laminate flooring, drywall...but I have never, in my entire life, ever, cut the grass!

see now i draw the line at taking out the trash.... But DH has always said if i want the yard i have to be willing to mow the lawn... We share that duty usually. But i shape the trees and hedges cause he's well not landscapey...

I always mow the grass and take out the trash.... DH has so many projects that I do the easy stuff like that. Course it takes me like 1 hour to mow since we have a small lawn :)

Just wanted to post a picture a picture we took today. We were enjoying some Dole Pinapple Whip. :yay:

G'mornin' pirates

MMMMmmmm Dole Whip.
Thanks for sharing the pic!

I think you're good to go at 12:01 am tonight/tomorrow morning.

MMMM Pineapple Dole Whip float is my favorite! We actually made Pineapple Dole Whip yesterday :)

We finally figured out that DU was wrong with their countdown after we couldn't log in... We went and counted and yep should be tonight. Wish us luck!

We're on the FE list :thumbsup2

Andy

Consider it done along with whatever FE gifts we give - still haven't decided between choccie (mini mars bars, milky ways etc.) or something easier to carry like stickers/tattoos.....decisions, decisions!

when do the next set of ressies open up? (75 outers?)

chrissie

5am tomorrow for me - well actually my parents, but as they are computer illiterate, guess who gets the early morning chore....no prizes for the right answer! Just hoping they add on some more Palo inventory so we might be able to snag a brunch

Hey Folks!!!

Anyone interested in the Hummer Limo tour of LA on Saturday (8/16) 8-12 noon, I need to finalize plans & send them a deposit! I don't mind giving them the deposit, but please sign up only if you are sure you can make it. The price is approximately $49.00 per person (NOT including gratuity), but the final price depends on the number of people & size of vehicle. I plan on asking them to drive us to the famous HOLLYWOOD sign, Rodeo Drive, a stop at the Walk of Fame & Pink's hot dog stand & any other suggestions are welcome depending on time restraints of course! I have the following people on my list so if you don't see your user name & you want to join us, please PM me by this Friday June 6th! Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, with DCL as soon as the rooms go into GTY status, they have to be assigned manually. This is how they can work on getting you rooms near each other when you have two, etc. Have patience, you will be on the ship! :)

Yeah!! On my birthday, August 29 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I just heard from DCL that they will not be having When Mickey Dreams on our cruise.

Isn't that a fairly new show that debuted on last years med cruises? Shame if it is as we haven't seen it. Any clue as to what will replace it?

Tonight at midnight.........................Here's hoping NO ONE has a stress!!!

Thanks, anyone else booking excursions tonight? Is chat going to be open for us like it was for the 90day people?

I notice we seem to have quite a few young girls that are bridging from Brownies to Juniors this year! (mine included!) I was wondering if any of them would be interested in maybe trying to earn a Junior badge while on board. I would be willing to put it all together and run it. I haven't looked throufgh the book yet to see if there is an appropriate one, but I bet we could find something!

When I was in Girl Scouts, we were able to creat our own patch for a special event that we attended.... That could be an option for you guys, but really I have no idea since that was more than 15 yrs ago :)

Depends on the description....

I have ridden 4 wheelers at my mom's. I've never been covered in dirt afterwards or needed a mask. I wouldn't have thought of it unless they would tell you that ahead of time.

And quite seriously, if the ground they were covering was so steep that there was a chance your front wheels would come up. There's no way in hades i'd let my kid do it let alone even sign myself up for that in a country where i'd have no clue what kind of medical care i'd be in for if god forbid something did happen.

(Sorry Soap box moment)
It really goats me when i see parents who let their kids ride a four wheeler when the kid's legs don't even touch the ground. If it tipped, There's no way they could stop it from rolling. I've seen adults killed on 4 wheelers, and seen kids/adults who ride tandem who died because they were thrown off (my mom's #1 rule was no more than 1 person at a time). They are really not that safe to begin with.

First.... why would you pay for parking? It is included free for AP holders. (look at fine print on your booklet. Unless that just changed this year.) Just show your AP to the theme park parking attendants and they let you through.

I actually had to do an ATV safety training a while back for work. It was a very dry and dusty area so we really did need the airway protection... I think we even wore respirators! Safety glasses are also good. One BIG thing they talked about was that it's not safe to ride with 2 on them ever because of how you have to balance when on them. I see people all the time with little kids driving and other littler kids riding with them and no one has a helmet or anything... :scared1:

Phew finally finished with my ketchup! I'm glad you guys weren't too busy yesterday :)

Glad that we got to meet you and Lindsey. All the girls could talk about last night and this morning was about their new friends.

What a great idea:goodvibes

Sounds like they're the V.C. Andrews books of my time.
Debi, I used to love those books

You know folks...

DRAT! I'm the one with "good" teeth... and Alicia has the "bad" teeth... guess which kid got whose teth genes? :bitelip:

Tom the BBQ sounds fun. I am so thankful that Adam has my teeth!

I was pretty tired last night when I posted about When Mickey Dreams that I didn't put what I thought about it. We saw this on the Med cruise last year and it was really neat (though i thought it wasn't as good if you sat close to the stage - hard to see everything going on). My thought about this (and I couldn't get an answer from DCL) is what are they putting in it's place? They aren't just going to have nothing that night so what could we be getting. DH thinks that it may have been hard to perform if the weather wasn't good (too much rocking) or the talent wasn't available. I tend to want to think there may be something else!

What - like Toy Story??????

You can create a badge but have to get it approved by a Council..I am not sure how long that takes..I can check into it if you would like. But...wether we try and create a badge or not..I can find a patch..I would just need to know in advance how many girls we have..and I can order from there. The girls who are Brownies...we can also work on a Try-it for them and they can earn the same patch by participating too.

Just let me know if there is any interest in the patch and I will see what I can find out. As for the badges...I am happy to help if needed.
