Our DD turned 7 a week ago. She'll be found in the Club or Lab most of the cruise.

Joel110 and I hope! Last cruise our girls wouldn't stay! Keep hoping if the dd7 meets some people she'll enjoy playing there a bit more. I'm trying to come up ideas to pique her interest in it....anyone with ideas is DEFINATELY WELCOME TO SHARE :worship:

That would be my 7dd, also! :lmao: She cries during dinner because we force her to eat with us every night. :rotfl:
Our last cruise she had it all worked out -- which person was going to take her and pick her up everyday from the club....:rotfl2: She had 5 people to work with since her oldest DB & DS were on the cruise with us! ::yes::

I remember picking my Daddy up from the airport (Oct 1968) and wondering who that man was that my mom & Grandma were hugging! LOL! I was in 1st grade.
My dad was a Navy medic attached to a front line Marine unit. He was in Hue during the Tet Offensive.
We used to send packages of stuff (candy, gum, fun kid stuff) for him to give to the ophans.

That had to have been very strange for you.

My dh was deployed for 9 mos.to Bosnia-Herzegovina when our ds12 was 11mos. old. Ds was just shy of taking his first steps, and by the time dh returned, ds was running and talking up a storm! He had no idea who dh was either. But, luckily, he has no memory of it, and he became comfortable again pretty quickly.

Shella....I'm optimistic that you'll have a diferent experience this time around, since they are older. I'm sure Kylie and Christa will enjoy being in the lab together. The key is to find someone Katie's age for her to become comfortable with. I think it will help if the kids meet right away on the 17th!

I was on the opposite side, my mother deployed/was stationed with him so I was born overseas and lived there until they came back home to the states as a family. I never experienced the deployment concept....just the "army brat" concept

It was probably more strange to my younger brothers & sister -- I'm the oldest of 4. :) When dad came home we were 6, 4,3 & 2. Can you imagine being my mother for that year????

NOOOOOO...I absolutely can not imagine that and would hate to try. I know my limitations and I couldn't do it

ARE YOU KIDDING????? Christa will do whatever Kylie says she wants to do. It's definately Katie I'm worried about. We'll have to see what I can do to pump her up about it::yes::

She needs to find a drawing buddy in the club! :thumbsup2

Can hardly wait to see it Coral. Just a few short weeks and I'll be programming your address into my TomTom!

Yeah!! The directions will be sooooo simple. Exit off of 35 and then only 2 turns to my house. Pretty much imposible to get lost.
It does seem more real now. :thumbsup2

Just stopped in to say hello!

DD has had the stomach flu all day...trying to get her to get some of her school work done since she has been feeling better this afternoon and she only has about 14 days of school left (which includes 3 field trips). So I am a little stressed trying to get everything done in time...first year home schooling and I did not plan out her work quite well enough

Tonight is a thank you dinner for my Girl Scout Service team - the leaders who helped me do all the work for the troops in our area this year. We are going out for Italian food

Hope everyone is having a great day! We finally have some sunshine here today!

Hey everyone

Busy weekend, but so awesome - let the summer begin :woohoo: I hope everyone had a great long weekend. We had pretty much perfect weather all the way through.

going to do some ketchup......

Hey guys.....have not been here much. Only 13 more days of school left (only 12 for the kids!) - WOOHOO! Sol's are over now and swim practice just started this week - life will slow down in a couple of weeks - at least that is what I am hoping!

I have a question..........this weekend, the local Disney Store was having a "clearance" sale. Are they closing all stores completely or just selling the last of the mechandise owned by Childrens' Place? I did get some t-shirts for everyone and a couple of pins that the kids liked. Everything was cheap but not dirt cheap. I am sad though if we lose the store completely :worried:

Hope all is well with everyone, I know I miss a lot, hopefully I can keep up better once school lets out. Then we just have to deal with swim team, karate and horseback rdg! Have a great week everyone!!!
