I just checked our return flights on Sep 3 on Southwest. Our tickets went down from $105 to $64! So now we have a $205 credit to use toward our flights in January!

If you're booked on SW, you may want to double check to see if your fares went down.

Well, I certainly know where Brooklyn is, have been there, but not often, don't know it well, and it's not the same as if it was set up somewhere in Manhattan (it would be easy to set up a time and swing by for a hello). Seriously, not trying to be snobbish -- more trying to be funny . . .

Now I have to hope LaTanya doesn't read this or she will kill me!

Its right over the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan

sorry... the shirts are just not for us. Hope you still accept us in the group though! LOL

We'll wear our group lanyards and rubber wristbands though. :)

(oh and I may be wearing my LIME GREEN Disney tank... that I just remembered I bought us matching shirts last year from Disney- all different colors though but mine is lime green. I'll let you know later so you can recognize the "one that isn't like the others" LOL)

Maybe I'll just get a tote or something... hmmm, something to think about. LOL
I Promise, you're accepted:grouphug:

These are written by Angie Sage & are excellent - I've read the first three:
the first is Magyk
the second is Flyte
the third is Physik

Allegedly there will be 7 in total.

Celestine
I've read the first one-very good:thumbsup2

Thank you so much for doing this, Monica and Laurie! My info is completely correct. Did DCL give you any idea when we will know our schedule for these?
Tracy is our contact with DCL since she knows someone there and has done this before. I emailed her what I had so far and hopefully we 'll hear back from DCL maybe next weekend (after the holiday and stuff). We hoping for confirmation and prices at this point. Scheduling is something DCL likes to put off as long as possible (ex: deck parties and theme nights:rolleyes: ) so that isn't gonna happen anytime soon.
Why do I have a feeling we'll all be on that "List" by August:lmao:

Did you got to the musum in Roswell??? My family has a statement in the "International UFO Museum" stating we know absolutely nothing about a spaceship crash on our ranch. Our ranch was listed as one of 2 sites that they state the "UFO" landed.
:scared1: Are you sure:confused:
;)

The ride suddenly stopped with no water.. the boat/slide/raft kept going and he crashed into the back of my head full speed. I flipped back into his head. His face was a mess to say the least. They took us to Williamsburg Hospital in just our bathing suits..( tell me that was embarrassing) My poor kids were left in the park to find my sister. She of course thought they were joking when they told her "mom and Marty were just taken to the hospital" Then we had to drive back to NY STATE the next day...in all that pain and broken bones.Needless to say we havent been back to Water Country...:confused3

OMG:scared: That is so scary. Glad you're ok now. The park should have arranged to fly you back and hired someone to drive your car back for you:sad2:
Hope this caused some changes in their safety practices.

That is way cool....I need a full size of that for the door :
I'm groundhogging, since I'm getting ready for our auditors and really don't have time to ketchup, but I totally agree about the calendar with ports of call going onto doors... Has anyone figured out who made this? Can we get permission for a gi-normous one (or 100?)

Sorry to hear about this guy giving you troubles. But I have to say we like you and don't even require a wine and cheese party to do so.:grouphug:

Thanks! :goodvibes Overall I really try not to be a rude person and I think I'm fairly nice to people! LOL!

Dont worry I dress up as well. Even my son has a tux for the formal nights.. I do think more people than not do dress up for the meals..

We like to dress up for the cruise. This will be our first time getting tuxes for the boys and me. We don't usually dress up for much at home, so it's a nice change of pace for us.

We dress up, also. 10ds LOVES to wear his tux! LOL! For the regular night dinners I usually wear a skirt or casual dress.

DD was 6 in the above pic too. She turned 7 this week.

Andy

Happy B-day! If I knew how to photoshop I would remove our dd's name and put your dd's name on this cake! LOL!

Our youngest will be 7 on July 1st.....

I may be in a minority... but i dress up (ie have planned outfits) for every dinner.

I don't think i've even done shorts to dinner. Usually dress or skirt or pants or fancy dress (for semi and formals)

I'm right with you. I like dressing up for dinner. And go all out for formal.

Geez, back when I asked about Pirate or DIS, I didn't even realize how close it was or I would have stuck around.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

"If you are living under MY roof, you'll carry the 1!!!" :lmao:

I also had trouble figuring out who that Richard Stands guy was and why he was important because he wasn't in any of our history books.

(and to the Republic, for Richard Stands...)
:lmao: :lmao: I asked my kids if they were allowed to carry the 1 at math in school. Kelly goes , "OMG, what do you do with the 1 if you don't carry it ?":lmao:

I had Lasik a couple of years ago and and had not had my eyes checked since then. I decided it was about time so oldest DD and I went for exams yesterday.
Contrary to my original belief, I do have 20/20 close and far, do not have dry eye and my pressure readings were good. Glaucoma runs RAMPANT in my family. I do not know anyone over 70 that does not have it (except my Mom) in my entire family for at least 3 generations. I have a couple of Aunts blind from it. My sister who is 46 (I am 42) already has to take the drops.
Needless to say, the Optometrist said to have the pressure checked every year.
Glad your eyes are good:thumbsup2
Reminds me, I'm due for my eye appointment. I have to go every year cause the contract with the Dr requires that if I want any free updates on the Lasik.

This just equals free fence. :)
When they started drilling for gas and oil on our ranch- we have never had such nice roads. Alll grated regurally and nice new gates when their equipment ran inot our gates, etc.
Oh yeah- and they paid us to use the roads. sweet deal!:thumbsup2

In reality they are drilling all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There are big oli rigs right next to DFW airport- one of the top 5 busiest airports in the world. You drive on the interstates that crisscross DFW and you will see oil/gas wells all over the place these days. They are VERY image conscious. They know it is tolerated as long as it is not a nuisance and helping the economy- all is good.

I just saw on the news that housing prices have risen about 5% in DFW. Unemployment is very low here etc.
A lot of the credit goes to the oil/gas drilling.

Sweet deal is right:thumbsup2

Thanks Monica. I realized this morning that I forgot to put ME on that list:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I'll put myself on the next updated one:rolleyes:
I'm definitely doing wine and martini. Not sure about the others. Darren only does diet coke.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. :rotfl:

:
I don't want to be tied to a schedule either, but I can see the value of having things spread out. What if people were assign a week ? Half the people get the first week and half get the second:confused3

QUOTE]

Unfortunately, I would have to be a rebel..I have 6 items and have planned when they were going out (they are kinda of themed to our day or evening)

You'll notice I said I don't DO black in summer; I'd die of heat exhaustion!!!! Then some wierdo on this site (some id named Joel110) dared to accuse me of mutiny!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE THE NERVE???

(oh....caution everyone.....I "kinda know" joel110 so I swear I'm not being toooooo mean!)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You're still not thinking big enough. If I'm Pope, I'll be flying on Papa One, so I can take whatever bags I want.

As a matter of fact, I can take whatever passengers I want -- you want a ride? :rotfl2:
Can you pick us up too:rolleyes1 ;)

I just wanted to share with everyone how completely cool, and astonishing, and gratifying this community is. There's no one "in charge",
yet everyone contributes what they can and no one feels compelled to do more than they are able. (At least I hope not.) We are each doing what we do best, and relying on others, with different strengths, to cover the rest.

Step back and look at what we've accomplished... website, topical forums, group clothing, group cruise navigators, activity books for the kids, special little surprises for each other, shared artwork, large and small group dining, loads of information on each port, shared excursions and experiences, more onboard activities than any one person could attend, and the list goes on, and on.

This is a huge undertaking and accomplishement for a group this size, and yet it has come together naturally. Growing and changing depending on the people involved.

We are such a testament to what a group of people can accomplish when they come together in a spirit of mutual understanding, support, tolerance, and yes humor plays a role. Yes, we've had our squabbles, but we've worked through them - gaining understanding and enriching ourselves through the experience.

I am so completely grateful to be a part of this community. And to have this experience with all of you.

Many thanks. :grouphug:

Well said:thumbsup2

Hmmmm . . . all this talk about traveling on Papa One has me thinking. What do you think? Is it me?

tiara.jpg

It's SO you!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

It's going to be time for an American pope . . .
:thumbsup2
I'd vote for you Mike ...if I had a vote:confused3 ;)

Julie, I think Crash in his bargin hunting madness, had that in mind!:thumbsup2
Didn't he get 200:woohoo:

Thanks Monica - we have been to PV too but it was on our honeymoon 16 years ago. We really enjoyed the place that we figured we would just go and either hire a taxi to drive us around to what we want to see or head over to the Westin Marina and use their facilities for the day. They are charging $15 per person. We definitely want to go into town and just walk around for a while
That's what my sister did when she was on a cruise years ago. Just just walked around PV. She loved it. Gotta get the name of the restaurant she ate in.

Julie....Andrew's a little bit country!

. . . and I'm (more than a little bit) rock n' roll . . .:goodvibes

I may be in a minority... but i dress up (ie have planned outfits) for every dinner.

I don't think i've even done shorts to dinner. Usually dress or skirt or pants or fancy dress (for semi and formals)

I tend to dress up for dinner, too -- I don't care if others don't but it's part of the fun of the cruise for me.

okie dokie... I'll have to order it this weekend then

WOOHOOO wenches rule....

Congrats!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: pirate:

Roger's early and late pirates looked suspiciously off the mark to me . . . is he "letting" other people get them now????
