Hey, I will be in DFW in June. Still willing to meet up, but I'm dependant on others for transportation.

I know it's hard when you are visiting others but you will be so close it would be a shame to not have a quick meet and greet. I can definitely provide the transportation. No pressure but it would be nice.

Lessons in Life By Regina Brett To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolls over to 50 this week, so here's an update:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get busy dying.

This is great. I can easily embrace an easy majority of the adages represented!

It has been quite a winter and I want to say Thank you to all my DIS freinds who have offered up such wonderful support through postings, PM's, cards, a little surpise gifts. It is appreciated more than I can ever express


The "Neighborhood Ladies" are taking me out to a local pub Friday night to celebrate. Since I have a designated driver I think I may just have a drink...or two

What a joy to hear of this. I know your happiness as we are in the middle of a period where we are hoping folks we know can prove thier cancers are indeed under control or - dare we hope - completely gone? I have other news on other firends fighting their diseases - but that can come another day since the news is not totally clear yet.

I've said it before - and I'll say it again. We should all try to identify what makes us happy ... and simply try to do more of that thing which makes us happy. Simple.

Well, Lil'G here's another angle I found of it. Too bad it looks like she'll not get her shot at fame as our 1st final candidate or President. And I say this intending NO approval or disapproval of her.

Although I have my opinions - I do not wish to spark a contentious debate on the matter. So I ask that all political activists to please refrain from mischief or inflammatory remarks. That's right... I want the last word on this one
