Where is the laundry room located on the ship? I don't remember seeing it on our 7 day cruise... We are a gty, so, I'm kind of hoping we aren't near it :)

There's one near Mid Ship,Deck6 and also one in about the same place,on Deck 2 (I believe).

Here's a pic I took of the one on Deck 6.

On deck 2, it is located across from cabins 2094 and 2096 (category 9). Not sure about the other decks.

Thanks! Obviously that wasn't on my radar on our last cruise. I don't think we'll be doing laundry this time either, but I'll hope for a room not too close to one based on what some of you said :)

Laundry rooms are located on decks 2, 6 and 7.

I am so glad there are a few others over 40! :lmao: I thought Dh and I might be teh only ones! :rotfl2: Us and Cheryl & John. ;) !

DH is turning 50 on embarkation day, and I'll fess up to being over 40

Very quick drive by posting. Cann't believe this is happening.
About 2 hours ago we decided to go to LA for the weekend. Heading to Seattle in about an 1hour will be in DL by noon tomorrow til Monday.

Late all.....:dance3: :yay:

If you get back on for any reason..and get your PM..I sent you my cell #..Would love to meet up at the park on Sunday if you get a chance!

It's not DH I'm really worried about- well, except so many people on this thread talking about tuxes maybe has me a LITTLE worried in that regard. LOL But for me I just don't have anything to wear that fits me and like I said- we're not really dress up people- and last time my feet were killing me. My feet were swollen after the first few days on the ship for some reason so then my shoes hurt like the dickens! :(

I dunno... we'll see.

I love your dress!

Bip, we are going with the suit for the formal and for the semi, well we will just have to see.

I'm thinking we have the same TA also, but we haven't received a postcard either. :(

Kim
Do you get his newsletter?? Just got mine and he is hosting something in his cat3 for 80 families this trip.Should be interesting.

I think we're going to go to Krystal also. We're booked on the Paradise Village Beach Resort excursion, but I've heard Krystal is just as nice and much closer. :thumbsup2 We're just looking for a nice place for the kids to swim and have fun.

Kim

I am not happy with the time nor the excursion in PV and the more I read about Krystal the more I'm inclined to do that instead and book a massage as well.

I just read what I could on Acapulco...I am so sad to miss the cliff divers but can't see spending the money. I called my Mom to talk with her about it...all she wanted to see was the cliff divers and a tour of the city from a bus but it's not sounding good. I am alsohaving trouble distinguishing the two cliff diver excursions when people post but so far no one has much good to say about any of it! Also..i am concerned about my mom sitting in the sun for to long.

I think I am ready to cancel for my immediate family but need to see what Mom and my Sister want to do...how disappointing!

You can do the Cliff Divers yourself. But you will be standing in the sun which is something we cannot do. We need seats for us oldsters :rotfl2: I asked Roberto if he has any info about an alternate and let's hope we can work something out!

Hi Captain Crash!
Thans for the invite! We would love too! We were just there last Sunday. We actually never made it in too the campground as we had planned, kids just wanted to run around on pt. mugu beach. We had all our stuff to do some geocaching in the sycamore canyon area. We can bring a small bbq and some food stuff as well. See you all then!

Not done with ketchup yet.

Just wanted to post this.

I think that this isn't the norm or we would have heard about it before  - some people just aren't considerate. I hope they don't close the laundry room until 8am - I prefer to do it early like 6am. If they are going to close it I hope they think about 1am-6am

It is directly across from from 6588. On the last PC cruise we were in 6590 and only one night was it a problem. Otherwise, people were pretty respectful.

I remember when we got engaged, someone actually told me that we could always "upgrade" to a bigger diamond later. I said I could never do that. I love that this is the ring he proposed to me with. And I think the size is just perfect for my small hand.

The crown on my ring is pretty high. I say it's force perspective - like Cinderella Castle! When you look at my ring - the diamond is closer to you and it appears bigger! ;) DH talks about replacing it and I won't let him. I have other diamonds.

Another one here who hit the big 4-0 this year :( I'm amazed at the number of couples on this cruise who are under 40 and who've been married 16 or more years.

We'll hit 18 years when I turn 40.

The 5th grade play is on Sunday. And DS11 needs his "chiton" - the greek toga like thing (but it's not a toga) for his costume. I made him one earlier in the year for the class greek festival. Does he have it?

"Mom! Where's my chiton??"
"I haven't seen it since you wore it to school (back in November!) What did you do with it when you took it off?"
"Well, when I took it off I put it in a plastic bag - or maybe it was paper. I took it off at school."
(This is the answer that was given after a search of all the closests from "I hung it up." produced nothing.)
"Well, I suggest you look for it."
"Where?" :headache: (There's a hole in my bucket, Dear Liza....)

Needless to say, another chiton is being made. Am I making it??? Heck NO! Tonight, the child learns to SEW!

This story is better told in person with dramatic voice and all, but my Nate (DS8) has a flair for the dramatic. I have 2 boys, but I got a diva. Anyway, just about every morning he stomps downstairs, "I can find my pa-ants." Every morning! (For the record, he has many pairs of pants & they are usually in his closet, you know where they are supposed to be!)

So DS9 had to do a project about Greece or Sparta - so we compared Spartan 3rd grade to American 3rd grade. DS9 discovered that Spartan boys were given one cloth by the state every year and that was their clothing. DS9 and I...at the smae time, mind you...looked at each other and said, "I can't find my clo-oth" :rotfl2:

This is what I be doing ....:thumbsup2

pirate:

Us too.

I would be at Cheesecake Factory every day and for my break I would go to Cinnabon. :rotfl:

Cinnabon is my reward for airport hassles. I'm only allowed to eat Cinnabon in airports while traveling!

I have doing laundry on vacation. Such a waste of good vacation time. I usually get up at 5 a.m. to do it.

So they are announcing that DIS Chat is back. But they are limiting the hours and you can only be in when a moderator is in. What are we going to do? Join until they kick us out? Or just go to Pirate Chat?

Seriously? They are babysitting chat now? Or is more like 'hosting' for certain hours and it is still open the rest of the time?

OH how cool! Have a great time!

Never got one. Heck, he never even really ask me to marry him. Sort of slid around past that one too.

So... you & DH almost forgot to get engaged.
Coral & DH almost forgot to get married.
DH & I almost forgot to date!

Cute story Esteri.

I do get his newsletter and I saw that he would be hosting something in his stateroom. But still no postcard. :(

I've read that the massages at Krystal are wonderful. Still debating getting one. Not sure if DH could handle all 4 kids at the pool. Actually, he probably could. He's really very good with them. :thumbsup2

Hello!

I have a Non-Cruise question -- I hope no one minds.

Mark, Nicole and I will be in LA in two weeks. We will have two clients with us, who also have not been to Los Angeles. There is only one night that we have no plans set for dinner, does anyone have any suggestions for a "Must do" for dinner/drinks?? We are staying at the Rennaisance in Hollywood (attached to the Highland Center).

Also, Nicole and I are wanting to take a hired car to DisneyLand for a day, it appears to be a fair way from the hotel. Will this be a ridiculous drive to be at the park for approx. 6 hours?

Thanks for any replies and sorry for the non-cruise question.

Michele

Here's the quote from the announcement that chat was back

For the immediate future the room will only be open at the times listed above and when there are hosts in the room. The additional rooms will be listed but not open. Hopefully this will change in the future.

To get to chat just click on the word chat in the bar up on top. You then use your regular DIS name and password to get in.

The Rennaisance is about an hour away from DL. I don't think it would be ridiculous. But then again you are asking a bunch of Disney freaks here.

I'm not sure about must dos in that area other than Pinks. Its not fancy, it's a hot dog stand. But a very famous one. It's just down the street from Hollywood and Highland. Or another non standard dinner would be ice cream at the Disney Soda Shop right next to the El Capitan theater.

Let me know..that is my concern for my Mom..she can't sit in the sun endlessly. And can't stand for very long. Thanks!

Like maybe the Acapulco Cliff Divers and shopping? Anyone actually keeping that excursion? Overwhelming negative reviews.
I told DH about the reviews and he goes "make sure you cancel it!!"
So we are.
Not even sure if we're getting off the ship in Acapulco now.
Bet there's a crowd in the laundry room.
