Your Mom is a great sister:hug:

I've found the garage door open in the morning once or twice. Now I make it a habit to check it myself before I go to bed. Can't rely on my family for anything real important.

Wow, Hope he feels better soon:worried:

Congrats Monica:yay: :yay:

I third what Julie and Kristina said;)
black and red-very piratey:thumbsup2
Uh yeah.. I keep testing the kids hoping I can count on them SOMEDAY (as they get older) but so far- no go. I already know I can't depend on DH with anything really important or that requires using his memory at all. LOL

On the SMs..I'm doing it and so is my DD..we are just waiting for the assignment to start purchasing those..I wanted to see what poeple like before I buy anything...does anyone know when we will find those out?
I'm only doing the kids SM's and I assume they are going to match us up with kids/genders the same as ours are. if they don't.. well them I'll be in trouble. I planned on buying some things that they specifically said they liked but I figured I couldn't go wrong with princess/tink for 7/8yr old girls and pirates of the caribbean and Cars stuff for boys 10yr old? I hope I wasn't wrong about that... LOL

Thank you all for your very kind wishes, thoughts and prayers for my Aunt over the last few days.

We had word a short while ago that my Aunt had finally passed away. A blessing for all. She'd been fairly unresponsive for around 4 days and in the last 24 hours had ceased all communications and gone into a seemingly deep sleep.

My Mum said she is looking forward to laying down in a real bed as she's been sitting and sleeping a plastic chair for the last 4 days without a break so she didn't have to leave my Aunt alone. She'd promised my Aunt to not leave and to be there stay until the very end.

Mum's hoping to return home at the weekend as she'll need a couple of nights good sleep before tackling a 24+ hour flight home.

Again thank you all!

Paula, may I respctfully offer....

I just got this off the main board. Don't know if it's already been posted yet.

Magic Shipping Address: West Coast

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After speaking to DCL I did a little more research. DCL is using the Quay Cruise Agency to faciliate the delivery of packages to the Magic while on the west coast.

Quay will be handling the delivery of packages to either DCL cast members or directly to your stateroom.

Basically you ship the package to Quay and include the ship name, stateroom number, and sailing date.

If you have any questions you can call Quay directly.

I Sooooo know what you mean!

Julia, someone did this for our last cruise, but unfortunately I do not know how to do it. If someone here was willing to give me a little tutorial (and have patience with my pathetic computer skills), I would be happy to do it.

I sent you the necessary image files - plus simple ideas on how to swing it "easy as pie"... :thumbsup2 If need be i can print and mail you the paper printouts. No worries as the INK JET is paid for by my spouses' company -as is the postage and envelopes. So my cost is negligible. It's getting me to actually DO IT that may be a problem. As I have yet to mail my task force thier memo pad suplies - and I still a few DIS neighors an EDITED copy of the 6,700 images I shot from my last sailing. I know... I owe at least WINOTRACY and Lil'G a copy of these images. And I have NOT forgotten... it's just that I never finfished editing those files from that cruise. Yanno- I can't be sending ya any images of Alicia and or I in our underwear dancing around our cabins ... or anything else similarly ... "personal" right? What goes on behind cbin doors .. stays behind cabin doors!

The same thing happened with the Mediterranean cruises. The drill was before all aboard times. I think you just have to go through the drill on a more personal level if you are not there at 3pm.

Personally, I wouldn't call it that close. Also, I figure I pay for the buffet when we get onboard so why miss it! :lmao:

I figure with the amount we are paying for this cruise, I wanna be on the ship as early as possible to get my money's worth :rotfl:

And what is that saying about starting out as you intend to go on? Point me at the buffet... ;)

The Disney letter sez all guests claiming US citizenship must have one of:

Passport
Birth Certificate
Certificate of Naturalization
Certificate of Citizenship
Consular Report of Birth

Requirements for non US citizens may (prolly are) different:

Andy

I guess non US citizens will have already entered the US on a Passport anyway so they assume that we won't lose them between entering the US and boarding the ship :lmao:

Does anyone have some ideas on FE gifts? something all love but is easy to transport?

Here are some ideas, hope it helps :)

I was starting to wonder about that.... ;)

I'm still debating the FE. I have one, plan on bringing it, but I'm concerned about how much I'm bringing now. Both airlines we're using will now be charging for the second bag. I need to figure out what we're bringing and how much room we've got since we'll be gone three weeks.

Fish extender list signup

Attention all pirates!
If you plan to have a fish extender, please PM me with your room number or GTY category
I will periodically post the list and will revise as cabin assignments come in

As a reminder: this is not a competition, and no one will judge the quality/quantity of your gifts, if you choose to give them out . . . it is about having fun and getting surprises in your fish extender. All you are promising when you sign up is that you will have something with pockets hanging on the metal fish outside your cabin door and would accept/appreciate goodies being left for you. I will also post on the pirate zone planning boards, but would prefer getting PMs here with the information.

A final list, organized by floor, will be available by a week or so before the cruise. Any last minute cabin reassignments/upgrades can be listed on my cabin door (6050) during the cruise.

This makes a TOAL even more enjoyable!

WARNING: Lots of Puerto Vallarta Zip Line Details

If anyone has kids who are too young for the DCL zip line excursions, I highly recommend the Los Veranos Canopy Tour in Puerto Vallarta http://www.canopytours-vallarta.com/index.htm. Their minimum age limit is 6 years old, and our 7-year-old loved it (the whole family did). Their air-conditioned bus picked us up at Collage Disco (a five-minute taxi ride from the ship) and made one more stop at their offices. Then it was about a 20-30 minute scenic drive up to the mountains. After our brief training --very entertaining and high-energy guides--we were off for 14 zip lines. The first are low and slow, and gradually build up in height and distance. You have to carry your own pulley, which was a little heavy for our 7-year-old, but he insisted on carrying it most of the way. After about 1 1/2 hours of zipping, you end up at a very nice restaurant on the river.

We had lunch (not included), swam in the river (there are two waterslides into the river), and enjoyed the animals there. You CAN take your own camera along on this excursion (the DCL one doesn't allow you to take your own photos) provided you have a neck strap or shoulder strap (no wrist straps). There are lockers to store your stuff while you are ziplining. They do take a professional photo of you, and you get a 5x7 in a nice folder for $10. They also sell a DVD of your tour experience. That videographer was the hardest worker in the company. He was racing all over taking video. Then they add music and some stock footage and it is ready for you by the time you board the bus (about 1 hour). I don't know the price on that because we didn't buy it. After about an hour to enjoy the facilities following your tour, you board the bus for the return trip. Our bus driver delivered us right to the cruise port, which I was not expecting. He of course expected a nice tip (which he was going to get anyway because he was so entertaining) and it saved us the taxi ride back to the ship.

A couple of notes about the zip line adventure in Cabo (I can't remember the exact name of it)--My MIL and FIL went on this tour and it is very strenuous. This is not just a simple zip line tour, but more like a military obstacle course according to my inlaws. Now do keep in mind that they are in their 60's, but the description sounded like more than I would have been up for as well.

I know this is lots of detail, but hopefully it answered a few questions.

I don't know why they were meeting at an area other than the Junta offices . . . I will ask that on the main board.

Oy so sorry DD has a stomach bug! Hope she feels better soon! :wizard:

My DS has been sick with the flu for the second time in a month. Fever, chills, aches, etc. Now it has morphed into a severe case of bronchitis. We took him to the doctors yesterday & he is now on antibiotics & 2 inhalers. He missed 2 days last week during the all important state tests in school (MCAS) & this week was make-up so I got a "friendly" call from the school yesterday stating that if missed the make-ups, he was going to need a doctors note explaining why he couldn't take the tests. Not once did they ask how he was feeling! Wouldn't mind, but we are not parents that allow our children to miss school for the heck of it & he is never late so you'd think they'd realize that if his missing the tests, then he must be really sick! I did call them back after the doctors & I explained to the nurse how sick he was & she said, "Well maybe he could come in long enough to take his tests & then go home." I said as long as he's not gagging & chocking like he has been. So she said to "play it by ear". Anyway he was coughing a bit this morning, but it was a little better, so he did go in today long enough to do his make-up tests & then I got a call from the nurse to come pick him up because he's coughing a lot. Ya think? :faint:

I hope they are both feeling better soon! At least they are getting this out of the way before August. No sickness allowed in August!

I did not get anything either,,, < snif >

Everyone on my September 1 cruise got their planning packet from Disney but I didn't. I thought it was unusual so I called Disney. Turns out they had my address wrong. Thank goodness, otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten my documents! If you normally get stuff from Disney and didn't, I would check with your TA or DCL to make sure everything is correct.
