more questions........
if you're paid in full should it SAY that on the status of your reservation online on DCL website? Or should it just say "booked" under status there?

and it won't show all the names of your "party" (if your family is in more than one room) until it's time to book excursions? Just checking because right now it's still only showing the names in that room with that reservation number and have to put in the other reservation number to ofcourse see the members of the family booked in that room. Is that the way it should be now even if the rooms are linked?

What number could I call with DCL to make sure the rooms are linked and that CC numbers are applied so i can book excursions on Sunday night?

I really have no idea why they left the drugs onboard, but DH & his team of 6 sailed from Panama to Miami - it was his first Command tour! We kept the American flag they raise to make the boat an American vessel. It is really the only time I've ever really worried about him (even when he was in the Middle East). I figured that whoever put 2.5 tons of cocaine on the stupid boat might want it back!

I have a great pic of DH and his guys sitting on a couch made of cocaine bricks on the pier in Miami.

You would be surprised. My uncle and his cohorts weren't too bright, but that's a drinking story.

It doesn't say paid in full on the DCL website through the consumer area
On the travel agent area it does show zero balance if you are paid in full. What I do with my clients is either email them the fax that DCL sends showing zero balance or email them a copy from the DCL website. You can ask your TA to do this

Other then that the only way to know you are paid in full is through your TA
You can try calling DCL but they may not speak with you about it. Their number is 800-951-3532

That is correct on only seeing the names on that particular reservation when you pull it up. You won't see it linked on the website until you go into shore excursions or Palo then you will see the other names listed, as long as they linked, so that you can choose who will be going on the excursions, Palo or having the spa treatments

"Can't wait to sweat like a pig"? :lmao: Really, it's cold here today, too, but that might be going a little too far, don't you think????:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well...I should clarify that I mean sweat like a pig while standing on top of the Magic in the Panama Canal.

And for todays lanyard update!

We are currently at 167 lanyards! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Well..I am off to take DD to school for the morning.

I will be back hopefully in time for the next viewing of the locks...

Thanks for the inf and the number!

It's pretty cool when smaller ships go through, they just throw a bunch of them in each lock at the same time. DH went through once on a 120' fishing vessel...with 2.5 tons of cocaine onboard. There were a bunch of ships in the lock with them.

Ummmm, you put that in writing on a public board? Hope the cops don't read this. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am sure there is more to the story than you are telling us...:confused3

Wow! how old do you think I am :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Sorry..migraine tonight and not feeling very creative with my snappy comebacks..i'll work on those before the cruise :)

I have had a headache on and off now for a week - I am so over it. I just got new Migrane meds - maybe will try this weekend.

Been trying to get back to sleep for 45 minutes now. I've been unsuccessful, so I just decided to get up.

My house has not gotten below 80 degrees all night. We do not have air conditioning. Not worth it for the 5-10 days a year that we get above 90. Although nights like this, I wish I had it.

Of course, it could be the PC crossing that's got my awake and not the heat. Hope I haven't missed the Magic. I was going to just sleep through this one and catch the afternoon webcam, but since I'm up, I'll watch.

It was soooo hot last night. At 11 pm I finally got up and got a few ice packs from the freezer to put around me. Thankfully that worked and I got some sleep. I so wish I had AC, however it does leave something to be said about making you want to go to work where there is AC.

What? You mean you don't sit in the darkened computer room downing shots while waiting for the webcam to come up only to see just the tail end of the ship as it leaves the lock?

I see we now have something to do tomorrow night while we try to make our ressies. Ever 30 minutes we take a shot. Then we get to see who can hold their liquor - those will be the ones that actually get to make their choices.

You would be surprised. My uncle and his cohorts weren't too bright, but that's a drinking story.

Well then grab a chair and pass the possum.

He is the cops!

After all the noise about the favorities, I checked on mine yesterday. I opted to deleted all of my favorites - since they had my 2005 Mexican in there. I hope to rebuilt my favorities today with my top 3 picks for each port. Hopefully it will let me.

I know i will be plastered by a rail the whole time if it kills me
or i explode... (Might have to pee over the railing; Sorry Stace)

You might want to use a Foley catheter.

What's wrong with good ol' astronaut diapers????

Corrected

Well...I should clarify that I mean sweat like a pig while standing on top of the Magic in the Panama Canal.

Just do as Tom suggests and say you can't wait to sweat like a possum:

Cytology of eccrine sweat glands in the opossum
James A. Fortney
Department of Anatomy, College of Medicine, The Pennsylvania State University, The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033
This research was supported in part by USPHS Research grant AM11407.

Abstract
Eccrine sweat glands occur only within the glabrous foot and toe-pad skin of the Virginia opossum, Didelphis virginiana, Kerr. Two distinct types of secretory cells are found in the terminal portion of this gland, i.e., dark and clear cells. Thin myoepithelial cells are located between these secretory cells and the outer basal lamina. Histochemical techniques indicate that dark cells contain dense proteinaceous secretory granules. This observation is supported by measuring the refractive index (n) of dark cell granules by interference microscopy. The interferometric properties and certain staining characteristics (acidophilia) displayed by these secretory granules are comparable to those of the stratum corneum layer of opossum glabrous skin. Ultrastructurally, dark cells contain electron-opaque secretory granules and parallel arrays of granular endoplasmic reticulum, resembling those of other protein-secreting cells. Subcutaneous injections of pilocarpine nitrate elicit a secretory response from dark cells consisting of granule extrusion, reduction in cell size, and extreme vacuolization of the cell cytoplasm.

No, it's Panama time, which is CST I think. It's 10:00AM there now. So, in about 4 hours start checking for posts by Disney Sweetie (Thanks Disney Sweetie!)

Of course, we would all prefer this kind of "possum sweat":

Me An' Cletus Is A-Feudin'

By Jeb Burnett

Shut yer tater trap and listen here— that consarned Cletus an' I is a-feudin' agin', and ain't nothin' on God's green Earth gonna stop me from tannin' his hide but good!

Cletus just better not send that hog's *** ugly bucket a' guts he calls Momma up here no more t' speechify to me, cuz it's bad enough bein' shot at by that varmint all dang day without that cat-screechin' momma o' his wailin' about don't hurt her baby boy. I got me enough business killin' that no-good Cletus without havin' ta see that hooer what pupped him.

Y'see, Cletus, he went and got all high-hat on about how his shine is better'n mine, which'n it sure-hell ain't. That possum sweat that Cletus brews ain't no proper whiskey. Oncet I fill his *** fulla 30-caliber, everyone'll go t' his shack an' find out that what I said about his 'shine was right—that he makes it out'n goat feed and brews it in the galdang radiatter of his rackety ol' Chevy.

Hey Arlene! How you all doing? Johnna and the girls say hi!:)

Doing pretty good. May go down to the pool for a bit of exercise. Will be the first this season for us. The Grandkids jumped in last month and they were speechless for a few minutes so I realized it was too cold.:lmao: Hope everything is great with the family. Can't wait til we all get together in Aug.

Where was the mind-numbing techno mumbo jumbo science alert on this one?
