But think of the reward that is ahead in a few months!

Keep me on ice 'til August. :rotfl2:

Hello, pirates!

Just a quick posting as I am on my sister's computer. I will be away for a few days as hubbie and oldest son are redoing the hardwood floor in the living room and I am extremely sensitive to the smells. But I had to post to say that we are now

PIF!!!!
So I will be able to join in with all the frustration on Sunday night!

I can't catch up I can't ketchup!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh
this is me :surfweb:
:lmao:

Congrats to everyone who is PIF!
And Happy Birthday to anyone's birthday I missed. Hope you had a great day!

Hey someone mentioned running into one another and someone else (I think) said yea but you might not notice... their right! I hope everyone either wears the shirt, lanyard or bracelet at all times because last time we hardly saw ANYONE from our group and we had a huge disboard group there! (cause it was the first cruise to go to CC twice) We only saw a handful of people over and over..... if I have to- I'm carrying around a 5 foot sign (big as me :rotfl: ) so people will know I ain't no stranger- and then if you avoid me even with the sign then I know I'm just unloved. LOL
Laurie...

This photo was taken TWENTY TWO or THREE YEARS AGO. Yeah... that's only 8,030 to 8,395 days ago not adjusting for leap years. Hard to imagine that what seems like a huge lifetime of experiences with my sweetheart only amounts to 8000-8400 days together since this photo was snapped. 8000 seems like entirely too small a number for such a huge slice of life, eh?

And yeah... we were young kids there, eh?

Gee... I just look at that picture and all kinds of memories come back to me. Can YOU remember what you were up to 22 years ago back in 1984 or 1985?

Below left ... 22 years ago. Below right ... 8 years ago... and at bottom center is an image from this past Thanksgiving in Boston...

Hmm, let's see. In 1984 I was a freshman in highschool... yeah I can remember it pretty vividly. Ask me in 20 more years though and I might finally have forgotten. LOL

Oh and AskStace.. answer ye pm dahlink. ;)

OMG! Didn't any of you people sleep last night??

Time to pay down debt!

but wait, that's not what they want me to do with it... I should go spend foolishly and... NOT!

No, no silly. You're supposed to take this "free" money and spend it on American goods. Like umm...well...ahhh...hmmm.

Such nice memories. Tell your two children I will miss them on the cruise!!! I will have no one reporting to you on how late I stayed up!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Sure Cheryl. No one will know how late you stayed up. And no one will tell Steph or John...

Kepp wishin' lady.

LOVED the cooking demonstrations. I was just looking at some of the recipes the other day.

Oooohhh cooking demonstrations!

They passed out a small glass of wine for tasting too:woohoo:

Oooohhh wine!!

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $ 6,597.58

I hope that's for 2 peeps.

I just checked for our sailing and QUADS with kids our age... 4 and 7.... I got the following:

Catagory 9 = $ 9,840.16

Catagory 10 = $ 8,640.16

I'm paying somewhat less for my catagory 9... plus I got my DCL on-board rebooking discount + cabin credit ... and the TA credit to boot. So like just about all of us... I am OK with the deal.

OK that's better. Now I feel like I got a bargain.

Gee... I just look at that picture and all kinds of memories come back to me. Can YOU remember what you were up to 22 years ago back in 1984 or 1985?

Stressing over what I was going to wear to the 7th grade dance & if any boy was going to ask me to dance once I got there.

Trying to figure out how to make my hair bigger.

Staring at a Duran Duran poster on the wall next to my bed.

Rehearsing for an ice show. Think Christopher Bowman would be interested in a 7th grade dance?

Going to my first concert (The Alarm at the Variety Theater in Cleveland)

Making the world's most ornate shovel handle in shop class.

Not knowing I was a year away from meeting the love of my life.

You will always remember this as the day you almost caught Palo.
- Captain Jack Sparrow

The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can’t do. For instance, you can accept that you can't get a Palo reservation or you can’t. But Palo is in your blood, boy, so you’ll have to square with that some day.

Good morning everyone!

Need to ketchup today.

Hope everyone has a good day.;)

Thanks for the support from you and everyone else today. It's been tense today as the police didn't serve her with a court summons until tonight. She didn't show up to school today and the admin said they tried to call both parents as no one called in to say she would be gone so it's an unexcused absence. Yet, she was out playing after school with the other kids. So far, no contact and the police told us they would tell her and her parents not to call or contact us. Before tonight, she has sent down her siblings and friends to try to get our son to call her or come talk to her. It was a tough thing to do and we questioned ourselves a lot, but hope this helps change her for the better.

Christopher, you did the right thing. Hopefully, she learns an invaluable lesson.

It is really difficult here anymore dealing with minors. Our youth corrections will not take them unless they have committed a violent felony. Half the time the parents refuse to come to our store to pick up their kids. I have learned that involving their school in the process seems to have a better outcome.

I think you might be pushing it there John. Logged in under Cheryl's user and calling her pushy. :rolleyes1

What can I say I like living on the edge.

barrel_monkeys.gif

I suspected so much....

.... however she seems to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys.... and such a riot with the images she dredges up.

I'm just hoping for the best. I imagine how everyone that's a "regular" here knows what a bottom fisher I am... and I'm not a bit shy about it (obviously!). I apprectate your sharing the promising opinions on it. I was going to look for a UW or water resistant housing for it now - so we could take it into the surf and shoot a little. Nothing really UNDERWATER since I don't swim - and I'll be the primary user.

Welll... come to think of it ... I just might use my usual IMPROVISED UW / water resistant housing .....

Bag-3.jpg

I've used these zip locks many a time with our pocket digicams - and sneak it out a bit for moments when a HQ shot is desired. What a hoot... a UW/WR bag for pennies!

I didn't think that ziploc bags would work that well.

Yes.....John is skating on thin ice tonight.

I'm always on thin ice. That's why I always wear a life jacket.

I am so lucky Laura will be at our dining table. This just proves I nmade a great choice!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Oh can we hide John for the Scavenger hunt and forget to look for him!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Be careful Cheryl, your little movie job does not pay you that well.

Soo I can join another drinking task force!!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

My remodeling is going full steam at work. They got my new dispensers running in 4 days. They started jack hammering the back stockroom floor yesterday--which will be my new office.

They are also making progress on our rental:cool1:

Adam's sr. prom is tomorrow night and I leave for Boston Saturday morning.

Please let me know if I miss anything important.

Happy birthday to anyone I have missed.:goodvibes

I still haven't got all the details from Mr. Emerald--which is very aggravating. I would recommend that you book a Cartagena excursion and then cancel it if you wish. I guess I threw him when trying to add Baru to the mix and then talking about the numbers of people interested.:confused3

I thought I would drop by and introduce myself. We are on this cruise and for some strange reason not as excited as we were last year with the Med Repo. I thought a little dose of the DIS might be just what the doctor ordered.

We are traveling with no children this time (ours are all adults, but we are not even bringing a grandchild). There are 6 of us. Me and DH, his brother who is married to my sister and the in-laws. Not a very exciting group, maybe that is my problem:rotfl2:

I have not even explored shore excursions. I have 2 days before I can book, so I guess I have time;)

We are flying in the day before and staying right by the ship. I wish we could do DL, but not with this gang. There is not enough prozac in the world to help me cope with taking my father in law to DL.:scared1: He is an old retired Marine who has no patience for lines, heck he has no patience for waiting.

I have thrown in the towel on trying to read up on all the happenings as you are all a busy bunch. I will check the link provided to me and read the readers digest version.

So, in the mean time if some of you could send some pixie dust this way to help increase my excitement I would be grateful.:worship:

Welcome Aboard!

Don't forget, I'm doing a "test run" in just over three weeks. I'll be sure to warn them....I mean, talk to them....about our August trip. ;)

You lucky stiff you. I could use a little injection of cruising right about now. Have fun!

Christopher, you did the right thing. Hopefully, she learns an invaluable lesson.

Hi Paula! How was Derby week? Hope you had a good crowd. How's Alan and Adam?

Hi my name is Becky. Myself, my brother Stephen (Nacho1337 on the DIS), my Mom Linda and Dad David are booked on this cruise. It is in celebration of my Mom's 50th birthday. My parents are booked in a category 11 gty and my brother and I are booked in a cat 12 gty.

Now I just need to have my vacation time approved by my supervisor, who only returns to work on Monday, which is exactly 90 days out when total payment is due.:headache: I could use tons of good wishes that I can actually go. Everyone else is able to go, but I am not sure as my supervisor is on vacation.

This will be my parents second cruise, as all 4 of us were on a 4 day Wonder cruise in 2005. It will be my brother and I's 4th cruise.

Hope to get to know all of you better and I can not wait to be on board. This is so different from my previous cruises in which I had long countdowns. So:banana:  :yay: :yay: much too do so little time.

Paula, you sure sound busy. Tell Adam to have a great time at his prom. Take one day at a time.

Boston? Have the clam chowder, they really know how to make great clam chowder up there.:)

Good morning all

Is it just me or is anyone else not inspired by the entertainment onboard the WB sailing?

Yeah.... ummmmmm

Lake Erie, book me a cruise there.... stopping where? what shore excursions.....

sorry, just cringe thinking of it.... Aruba or Erie, PA....

Let's see...we could Embarq in Boston, whale watch off New Brunswick, hit Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Niagara/Buffalo, Cleveland (excursion to M's childhood home), Cedar Point/Put-in-bay, Detroit, Mackinaw, Transit the Sault St Marie Locks and back.

250px-Soo_Locks-Sault-Ste_Marie.png

then hit Milwaukee and Chicago. Time it up right, could have excursions see baseball games in Boston, Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee and Chicago (x 2).

and to top it off......Cabana Massages on the beach by Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant:thumbsup2 :

Good Morning Pirates :surfweb:

The prices coming up for this cruise are pretty steep. Hopefully too steep for everyone's blood to book and all the GTY's get upgrades :dance3: :dance3:

Got lots of errands and such to do that didn't get done yesterday, :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 , but think I will play here instead.
