I recieved my response regarding the 11-13 years old for Ocean Quest.
Here it is:

Dear Desiree,

Thank you for booking another Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

It is my pleasure to assist you with information regarding the Youth Activities on the ship.

On the Disney Magic this summer, the children's programming will be structured differently. Disney's Oceaneer Club will accommodate ages 3-7. Disney's Oceaneer Lab will be for the 8-10 years of age group. The Ocean Quest area of the ship will be the new home for ages 11-13.

Children who are registered in these areas will find an array of fun and exciting activities to participate in with other children throughout the cruise. The areas are generally open from 9:00 AM - midnight each day, except on day of embarkation, and are supervised by our trained counselors.

To see a sample of activities offered in these areas, please visit our website at www.disneycruise.com > Onboard > Activities > Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab. Please remember this is just a sample list. Once on the ship, please make sure to check your Personal Navigator for specific activities being offered for the different age groups.

At Ocean Quest, the counselors will be supervising in much the same way they do in Disney's Oceaneer Lab. Those who have permission to sign themselves out of the location may do so. Those without sign out privileges can have a parent check them out.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Thanks for posting...interesting that the OQ sign-out privileges are optional.

J.R........ MWMBO9 has expensive taste!!!:scared: That is one great restaurant.:thumbsup2 We were stuck with the manager in Orlando before the grand opening coming back from our first cruise almost three years ago. We spent 9 hours together trying to get a flight out. By the time we hit the plane.....I had a free meal and a private tour of the restaurant before the opening!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

I am glad it worked out for your TOAL in Paris!!! :yay: You and DW can come over and be bored with all our pictures and videos of what you missed!!;)

Texas de Brazil is one of those places we go once in very long time (but SWMBO does has very expensive tastes). (And given she is in Chicago and I am stuck in Ft. Worth this week, I can say this without fear of a frying pan across the back of my head).

I made Disney on Ice when I was a HS senior (just a line skater, don't be impressed). I wanted to skate the show for a year before starting college. My folks wouldn't let me. My mom was convinced if I did it I wouldn't go to college & ! would be a washed-up show skater by the time I was 30. :)

Awesome...OU could've waited ;) ...didn't OU try having some synchronized
skating girls in between the Club Hockey brawl fests? I have a hazy memory of some girls on ice skates trying to do some big line spin...I think they desparately needed your help.....that and the memory of banging on the chickenwire while the OU goalie and BGSU goalies duked it out...since it was chickenwire, I could tell the BGSU player directly what I thought about his hockey skills with the confidence of knowing that I could out run him because he had his skates on :rotfl2:

We love visiting Abq! Fun museums, Love the zoo -- so small but, way cool! I love the sculptures in the parking lot!, shopping in Old Town.....can't get much better then that! And there used to be a couple of GREAT scrapbook stores!!!

Albuquerque is a great place to visit! If you've been to Old Town, I'm sure you've seen San Felipe de Neri church. This is the church where DH and I were married!

Hope our Florida pirate:s aren't being impacted by the wildfires down there.

No smoke here in Central Fl.

Jo, you are right! DING DING DING....we have a Disney connection! Maybe Debbie Reynolds will be on our cruise with all of us "Debbie Reynolds people".

Saw an indepth interview with her and she is very interesting.especially when she spoke about Liz and Eddie. They were all best friends and she was the one who sent him over to Liz when Mike Todd was killed...

Lanyards got voted out, the majority (not me) prefers wristbands.

Chrissie is working on a badge for us with our screen names. Not sure how we're supposed to wear them if we don't have lanyards though.

no, I'm not bitter......well maybe a little

Most of us probably already have the Lanyards as CC members. I personally do not wear it here at work. But do wear a lanyard on the ship.

That's ok..I will be with you singing "If"...

Chrissie

If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show the you I've come to know.
If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go?

Actually, with the judges and producers song selections on AI tonight, I'm shocked no one sang this.

Yeah, that was me. We sucked. I guess we just did it for the cat calls.

OU hockey games were THE BEST!

I actualy thought I got you two confused and I was asking same questions I had already asked. Y'all have a such similar background. Yay New Mexico!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:rotfl: Yeah, I guess we do have similar backgrounds, but I'm not a native New Mexican. I do consider it one of my "homes", though, since my mom is still in RR and I went to high school and college there.

What's funny is that I have been on 3 DCL and have never gotten a lanyard! I feel cheated :rotfl:

Ok..here is what I have. I am not sure of the exact wording until I can call them and find out the number of characters allowed.

I chose Black to appease the Captain and bright green to appease the Disers.

Thanks!

If you think the font is to difficult to read..I can change it to a basic print as well..this font just looked kinda of pirate-y to me!

Greetings! :yay:

Early on when this cruise was booked we had to back out because of a timing issue. I said then that the only way we could go was if we were moved to another appointment in May 2008 ......

..... we did not get moved so it is definite that we can not go with you all. :sad2:

That's the wording I was going to suggest. Also, if we can get more characters, how about the dates?

Aw Brack. I was holding out hope for you. Sorry you won't be able to make it.

Go for it!

If someone doesn't like to wear a landyard, they won't order one. I'm sure no one will mind if you organize this. :)

Personally, if I wear a landyard at all, it will just be the one DCL gives me. I have to wear one when I volunteer at school, and it bugs me. So, my prediction is, I will not want to wear one much on the ship either....but who knows!

It was thoughtful of you to offer this to the group.

Where will your KTTW card be???? :confused3 :confused3

I would never be able to get into my room if I didn't wear a lanyard! LOL!

:thumbsup2
