Happy Monday all! Had a good Mother's Day. DD made toast and coffee. OK we cheated on the coffee, my pot has a timer so I set it up the night before. DD gave me a couple of gifts and took me to a local restaurant for lunch and paid! She was so excited about Mother's Day.

We got her softball schedule and it is Tue/ Thurs solid for the next 6 weeks. We are traveling to nearby towns for over half of the games. We pick up uniforms on Wed and I drop off raffle money. Other than that not much going on here.

I resigned myself to the fact that I can't ketchup up, so if anything importmant happens tell me!

Most of the important stuff is being listed on the pirate website so it is easier to find

Also what do you guys use for deck shoes?? Do you use flip flops, or Teva type sandals or tennies or crocks??

Barefoot is my actual preference... But that deck gets super hot in the sun and i have flip flops and/or crocs nearby.

FORE THE RECORD:

I was not drunk - I was loose!

Hey Mods... Can you get us a visit from the tag fairy? PLEASE :rotfl:

1) Cool. It's nice to have someone owe me one for a change.

2) My web host was hacked a week back (people were getting spam e-mail from my domain and a bunch of other domains). I placed password protection on my website in case the issue was larger. I completely forgot I had done it since my home computer has the password cached. I can't change that from work and I am leaving for Dallas tonight so I just edited out the photo. Tom needs to edit out where he replied using it.

3) We got our baggage back about three weeks later. I have 1/2 of my reimbursement from BA and am waiting for the other 1/2 which is due this week ($2600 total). Then I still need to harass them for compensation, since reimbursement is what they are legally obliged to do. I want more than that for the incovenience.

4) I would love to do the mini-meet, but it is scheduled for the day I leave with my boys for Boy Scout summer camp in Michigan.

One of these days we will meet J.R. We all owe you every time we use the chat on Friday nights.:woohoo: Why don't you join us some time on Friday night!! :confused3 You are on on cruise in spirit!!:rolleyes1

Glad you baggage problem is slowly getting resoled.:yay:

FORE THE RECORD:

I WAS NOT DRUNK!!!!

F I joined up late after seeing the cabaret show but after 3 shots of Don Julio (thanks Todd for the suggestion - DH  that one :thumbsup2 Says it went down a bit smoother than Patron) I'll turn tha tman into a lush sometime ;) :rotfl:

I do know my Tequila , errr I mean RUM ...lol :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

pirate:

Maybe it's an Ohio thing. :confused3

Umm, I don't know who any of these people are...and I usually know stuff.

Alphonso - the tap dance kid! He was also in Silver Spoons & I think an 80's commercial with Michael Jackson (Pepsi, I think).

This is further evidence to support my theory that Joey Fatone actually lives onboard the Magic.

No wonder our kids got along so well!

Don't feel bad..I looked each of them up because I had no idea. They are all magicians, illusionists, or comedians. Yes..Alphonso was in the Pepsi commericals with Michael Jackson and on Silver Spoons too.

So this being our very first trip and in cheap rooms, are we going to be outta luck getting the reservations for Palo or excursions that we want?? It's still a while before we can start booking stuff like that.

Also what do you guys use for deck shoes?? Do you use flip flops, or Teva type sandals or tennies or crocks??

Thanks
Terri :)

I am a flip flop kind of girl myself!!!

FORE THE RECORD:

I WAS NOT DRUNK!!!!
Anyway, after Diversions, we ended up in Rocking Bar D and we closed the place down. More details I will type in when I blog but right now - the minutes are ticking and just wanted to post that I had a great time. And even though I went to bed at 3:40 - I'm at at 12:30. DH is still sacked out. I danced like there was no tomorrow. DH, the rat has pictures to prove it (I of course have evidence too ;) :rotfl2: ) and also ratted me out to the kids. DD's response? If she's drunk - and having fun? That's all that matter! The man can't tell the difference between letting loose ( I had 20 something years pent up in me - I was not drunk - I was loose! :lmao: ) YET, may I add, I did not fall down, did not lose my key, did not glow in the dark and did not need an escort home - however, dh and I did escort a fellow DIS-ser home. Just to be on the safe side. We all had a blast.

Can we, PLEASE, have someone organize one? I will talk to Ianh who set this up but I think all he basically did was call out to members to meet up at a certain bar and after a little bit, they moved on to the other bars. As I said, Diversions was closed on us but we ended up closing Rocking Bar D. Cheryl - you can hang right? :lmao:

It wlll be my pleasure to close all the clubs down with you!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: I am a night person!!:goodvibes You were just relaxed!!!;) ;)

Ouch! Now I'm getting hungry - time to wake up DH.

Did I mention that DH lost his phone on the last day of Orlando? Long story. But oh well, so far so good but the ship is rolling just a slight bit. Maybe that is why I need to go up to deck 4?

Oh yeah! I'm sunburned. Never thought that would happen with the amount of lotion I put on - but I'm a spotted tomato.

Take care all, off to get dressed, get solarcaine and type in my blog so I can remember that lovely day. :cloud9: :cloud9: I can see why people drink - guess it can be fun - and I was not inhibited - ok - well at least by the 3rd tequila snifter anyway. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

For the record, I was ok with 4 shots, I switched to water so I wasn't as far gone as everyone thinks I was - AND, I was not dancing on top of the table nor chair. That was someone else. The same one that ended up falling later on in the dance.

Ta-Ta for now everyone. :wave2:
.

It's simple ....

.... if anyone walks up to ya while looking funny at your shoes - just say "like, oh yeah... I'm good freinds with Andrew and from the UK." And they'll walk away thinking ... oh yeah... you're from overseas so that's what passes for leisure footwear.

.. if anyone walks up to ya with admiring glances towards your footwear then simply say step this way to da nearest bar and wet yer whistle. That or you can just say - of yeah - I'm Terri..... otherwise infamously known as rillsung from so and so.

... and if doubt over one's opinon on your footwear - I recomend you do as I do . - and just wear what-ever when-ever. I've been known to go to formal nite in tux and sneakers. Packing hard shoes seems soooo burdonsome sometimes ya kno...:confused3

And for a serious reply - we pack casual shoes - AKA tennis shoes - then we have sand/pool shoes of some sort (flip flops or crocs), and as for dress shoes - that depends upon how much space Alicia gives me to work with - which is never enough. AND.... as for what Alicia packs... I never know WHAT she packs. But it's at least 3 if not more pairs of shoes/sandals/etc..

Ok, now I don't feel so bad. I didn't recognize any names either (other than Joey and Alphonso). But if the lady who knows stuff doesn't know them either, then its not so bad that I don't know them.

:lmao: :lmao:

Barefoot is my actual preference... But that deck gets super hot in the sun and i have flip flops and/or crocs nearby.

Hey Mods... Can you get us a visit from the tag fairy? PLEASE :rotfl:

:rotfl: Oh yes. Laura needs the tag fairy!

I'm a barefoot/flip flop kinda gal myself. I actaully need to buy a pair of shoes for the zip line. I'll have my running shoes with me, but my feet will just not be able to handle my running shoes all day, especially if it is hot. I hate it when my feet are hot. And all my other shoes are flip-flips. I need to go out and buy strap-on sandals just for zipping.

Do they allow monkeys on the cruise? If so, I'll have to go out and buy myself one! :)

P.S. As people were leaving Mass yesterday, several wished me a Happy Mothers Day. Not quite sure how I want to take that! :rotfl2:

Mike, if you were not a priest and I wasn't such a good catholic for the last 61 years (cough, cough) I could tell you what they probably meant.
John

Last year I was on the Transatlantic repo and it was my first DCL trip. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to book anything since I had to wait until 75 days. I got every excursion I wanted, got a Cabana Massage on Castaway Cay, and got Palo. I didn't get Palo on booking night, but I just kept checking and was able to get it about a month prior to sailing. It wasn't a time I liked so once on board, I went and talked to them and was able to switch it to an earlier seating.

So you should be ok. A lot of folks are actually doing non DCL tours, so that leaves more slots for others. Be sure to check out our planning boards. Maybe there's an alternative tour you'd like to do with us instead of DCL.

As for deck shoes, I was either in flip flops or Crocs most of the time.

OK so try and try till I get what I want! Thanks! :)

hehehehe thanks! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So in general, how does everyone's footwear on the cruise compare to the footwear at say the Magic Kingdom? We always wear high-top type sturdy shoes in the parks, and I switch to the Teva type sandals in the resort.

FORE THE RECORD:

I WAS NOT DRUNK!!!!

For the first time in my life, I actually danced till there was sweat pouring down my back. That has never happened before. Seriously, not even at my wedding. We only danced slow dances. Well, last night - I devirginized my feet - they were a stomping and a slapping and a freaking along with waving my hands in the air! :lmao:

OK little explanation, Yesterday, Mother's Day was one that will go down in history books. I will type in details later in my blog. I was so excited after just waking up - Yes - I just woke up - 12:30 our time - I feel sorry for Benny - our stateroom host. I had the BEST MOTHER'S DAY EVER!!!!! :cloud9:
edited....

Ta-Ta for now everyone. :wave2:

Thanks for chuckle, Laura. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Wish I was there.

Just now finally playing Ketchup since yesterday was also middle DD's EIGHTEENTH birthday. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORDAN EMILY!!!)

LilG....I actually have the PERFECT picture in mind of my Megan! What a stunning idea. No time to do it on the napkins...but I just might have to set a pic on their picture table. Brilliant...thank you!!!

Fan club?? I guess I DID miss something! :confused3

We had a really wonderful dinner with Jordan's boyfriend and his family. First time we've all been together and it went really well. At least I managed to not make a fool of myself. I think. I hope. It looks as though these people will be her in-laws, so hopefully we'll all be able to be friends.

Sorry I missed so many pages....back to the Ketchup.

Now not to be outdone by the Westbound crew with Donny, if it wasn't him, who at his level of stardom would DCL get for us?

As said before the Westbound and Eastbound had some similar guests like the Muppet's but the starts were different? So Who?

How about, Julie Andrews?

That in my opinion would be an HONOR. Some of the others that they could come up with are only temporary "stars".

I haven't seen too many either. Have to check the main board.

Just caught up with yesterdays paper and they had an article in it about Michelle Duggar being pregnant again with #18 and the youngest is 9mos.:scared1: Talk about a Mothers Day!!!!! They are filming yet another Duggar show for Discovery Health.

I saw that too. Wouldn't you think the older kids would be ready to die of embarrassment??? Enough already, you aren't jackrabbits!

This was hilarious!

Reading this had Alicia rolling just now!

So, while we are Julie-Andrews-wishing for entertainers on the EB cruise...

Who would you just absolutely die to see??? If you could pick one star or entertainer, who would it be??

Your wish doesn't even have to be realistic. The only parameters are that it should be someone Disney/family-friendly and, well I guess, currently alive.

Gimme Harry any day. Harry Connick Jr. He has kids. He sang Bare Necessities on "Mad About the Mouse". See, look, Disney ties!

I'm not a big star-struck type person, but I would just be giddy and well might possibly die if Harry was onboard.

Of course, DH wouldn't let me out of his sight either. :)
Harry is #1 on my Friends list.:rolleyes1

I would love to see Elton John or Phil Collins - I love their music and they both have worked on Disney films. There are others, like Tom Hanks or Ron Howard, but I would assume that anyone they choose would put on a show of some kind
