It could be a new addition to the Repo thread vocabularly. Can be used in all manner of situations:

I'd like a little water with my possum.
Just popping up topside for a little possum.
I'll take the possum please.
....

Andy

Sounds good to me! You the possum, Andy!:thumbsup2

If so many are saying "it's soooo eaarly" ..How many of you drink the mimosa's at Palo brunch?:lmao:

So are they getting rained on? :confused3

I plan to drink a few extra pots of coffee.

I found a cup of coffee with a scoop of vanilla protein powder (in place of cream or sugar) makes a lovely breakfest:rolleyes1

While we're on the subject.....

I haven't been able to find out how they do traffic control on the canal.
It seems that the Gaillard cut is too narrow for bidirectional traffic, how do they manage this (or is there enough room in the cut for ships to pass)?

Andy

So out of boredom..I am looking up the Prince Caspian movie and decide to see who the actor is...the next Narnia movie will be out in 2010..he is Prince Caspian again.

Just FYI as we all sit here and stare at a down webcam

Did anyone else notice the addition to the "Disculpas" on pancanal.com?

It now adds: "Es culpa de los piratas Disboards."pirate:

Just found the answer:

In order to accommodate to the demands of today's transit needs, the Panama Canal Authority recently completed the monumental task of widening the Cut to 192 meters in straight sections and up to 222 meters in curves.
This allows for unrestricted two-way traffic of Panamax vessels, the largest ships that fit in the Panama Canal locks. Gaillard Cut opens up into Gatun Lake where the Chagres River flows into the waterway near the town of Gamboa, site of the Panama Canal's Dredging Division.

Andy

Okay....so my question for the morning......could a possum take a groundhog?

Depends on the groundhog

The cut is large enough for 2 ships to pass but not much room.

You could always just fluff to a pirate:

Useful fact: in Spanish, possum is "zarigüeya" -- clearly we will need this information on this trip . . .
