8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #7

Everything went well until we decided at 3:00pm to get 2 of the kids haircuts and me a touch up on my color. I am a cheapskate and with the kids, making appts is impossible, so we go to a no appt place and hope for the best.

Sorry to hear about hair troubles....

I went to the Paul Mitchell school near us to get my hair done on Wednesday.
It's different allright...(but in a good way)

Was just thinking about that as I just found out that starting June 1st, JetBlue is going to charge $20 for the 2nd checked bag and $75 for the 3rd.

If you bought your tix before May 1st you won't have to pay.

Yess.... were grandfathered.... I was so undecided on my return flights but then heard of the May 1st thing.... i was on-line booking tickets ten minutes before midnight of the 1st.

I love love love Baja California Mexican food, but your right, it is very different from Tex-Mex. I know the logic behind your statement. I just thought it was funny that you are packing chips and salsa for a Mexican cruise.
Our favorite Baja place in San Diego had a great salsa bar and they just threw a stack of corn and flour tortillas (not fried chips) in the middle of the table. They also served peel and eat grilled shrimp and longastinos in buckets. MMmmmm. Have I mentioned that I love Baja Mexican food???

ok anything else except shrimp that i'm going to be able to eat.... I'm starting to worry here...

Good afternoon all - hope everyone is enjoying their mothers day! We spent the day with MIL and it feels good to be home now relaxing. We got out our excursion choices and decided to change a few things.

In Cabo - DH wants to do the Lands End Coastal Cruise before we hit the beach so hopefully its offered early enough. Is the beach here walkable from the pier? We thought we could do the cruise and then walk to the beach.

P.Vallarta- Kids still want to do pirate sail & snorkel

Acapulco - We have now decided to do the city tour with cliff divers

Cartagena - DH wants to do the Mangroves tour - it sounded like fun so I am game.

Aruba - We decided on the sailing & snorkeling excursion here and then do the beach on our own - is the beach walkable here?

Its storming here now, hope the weather where you are is better. DS12 is making predictions that we will lose power at about 8:00 so we will miss the Survivor finale - EEK! I have never missed an episode of Survivor!

Have a great evening and wonderful start to the week (only 5 more weeks of school here - SOLS start this week so it will be a very busy here!)

Just saw this on the trip report boards

I'm trying to download a photo of the welcome gift - and it keeps timing out. It is a map of the cruise stops - about the size of a dinner placemat. It is nice.

We got to the port around 9:45am. DH stayed out with the luggage and a couple kids and I went inside. I got number 2. Once on board, we went straight to Palo's and got our brunch, no problem. The sailaway party was as usual. Ricky Kalmon is on tonight. The shows listed:

David Cassidy - always thought he was cuter then his half brother Shawn Cassidy


I would think that it would be someone that is already involved with Disney in some way. Donny played the Beast on Broadway for a while

Random thoughts: I saw people onboard lugging around cases of water they had gotten through. Some weren’t even in a cooler or carry-ons. Just a box of water they were carrying and it wasn’t the ship’s water.

Pacific coast side Mexican food is *ok*. I really am not a fan of New Mexico Mexican -- I really dont' want *green* sauce on anything! LOL!

It's green chili - a vegitable! well sometimes... sometimes it is mixed with other stuff, usually pork and made into a sauce.

Geez you were up late last night & up early this morning! I've only been up for about 90 mins. at this point. Made pancakes so DS could have a full tummy for baseball. Not even a Happy Mother's Day from anyone!

Awww, Happy Mother's Day DH had to "remind" DD to come out and wish me a Happy's Mother's Day too .

All is forgiven though - She helped me re-paint the shed's flower boxes and plant flowers in the pool yard.

BTW, I did get yelled at because I painted the flower boxes on the shed purple. After all, It's supposed to be a "MANLY" shed
