I might watch the mickey bar race, but I'm not going to participate. I don't think anyone would want to watch a "Bringing back the Mickey Bar";)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: It will still be fun to watch. Now for the other people who have brunch & tea planned...............still a good day?

Finally, I was able to sign in with this name... I am so excited about booking the excursions...

I have to go away with my son this week so i wont be on my trusted Pc at home. I have all my favorites saved. I will be using my sons new laptop that I am not to familar with.. With me luck..

If anyone is familar with HIGH SCHOOL MOCK trial teams.. that is what I am doing. My sons school won the NY SATE regional competition  and now we are off to ALBANY NY..Please keep us in mind to bring the trophy home.

Thank you to all the members that have posted the times of different excurions. That is most helpful.. and discouraging to see some of the times. We were hoping to get 2 excurions in at some of the longer ports... Well we can see what happens..:goodvibes

Still no calls from MARY ROSE...i know Ginny and Darlene will be on this cruise..

Anyone with a 15 yr old son that is going?? My son hasnt met anyone yet.. The kids boards seem to be younger girls. He has been to busy with mock trials to really do any chats... wait until Tuesday when we get back and ita ll over.. Then he can start the real planning...

I cant wait to keep up with this board now that I have my screen name back..:dance3:

Doreen

Hi Doreen, We have the pleasure of having our soon to be 15 year old son going with us on this cruise. In fact, we also have a new 17 year old daughter, Birthday was yesterday, going with us as well. So, your son wont be just surrouned with girls......might not be sooo bad !!! And you thought you guys only had to pray for keeping Enna's in laws off the cruise !!!

OMG This is so funny:rotfl2:
I was thinking the exact same thing:lmao:
DH has told me he doesn't want his DM on the cruise, but he won't tell her:headache:

Knowing that they tend to book the lowest category & then try to upgrade, the open 10-12s scare me. The 12s seem almost do-able since it's tax return/tax incentive season.

Our family just needs this vacation for just us without having the stress of coordinating with MIL, SIL and the nephew. We have very different vacation styles to the point where there isn't any middle ground, yet it's always my family who tries to accomodate. We might be able to vacation with them again when the kids are older, but for now, it just doesn't work.

With DH working long hours, and with DS having the mirthless troll of a teacher this year, we're all just looking forward to vacationing in our own way.

This is great!! Does anyone have any other excursion times?

I'm basically blowing off getting any sleep tonight. I have be up at 4:00am to go to work, so with booking at 12:00am, I doubt I'm ever getting to sleep before tomorrow morning. Yawn!!!

That's tough............any chance of taking a nap today before it gets crazy tonight.:surfweb:

Enna, I know how ya feel. If they do manage to wrangle a cabin...........They can hang out with my folks......... Kinda a package deal !!! :scared1:

Thanks for the offer. That might take care of MIL, but I think your folks would toss SIL or Nephew overboard.

Welcome to the club.......same here........I'm gonna take a nap after church today.......... Would have been much easier if DCL just utilized Saturday night !!!

Boy do I understand that. Especially since your paying the big bucks for it. If it does happen.........start getting them involved with lot's of activities. Sign them up for everything?:rolleyes1

Yup...because we could all nap during the homily...

(oops...momentarily forgot that I'm suppposed to be staying on God's good side today....)

Hey I missed that I got my 5,000th post on the dis.:thumbsup2
:dance3: :cheer2: pirate: :dance3: :cheer2: pirate:

On that note..........going to get some stuff done.:laundy:

HEY.

I heard that!

Right now, I'm in my office listening to the associate give the homily for the 8:00 a.m. Mass. Yes, he is STILL talking (and it's 8:30 a.m.) Another minute and I might have to walk into church and kick him off the pulpit!

Well, that's where we have the conflict. We tend to jump into the adventures and experiences. They tend to sit onboard and squabble, then criticize us/complain because we actually DID something. Sorry, but I have better things to do on vacation than to be responsible for the nephew while SIL picks a fight with MIL so MIL will buy SIL whatever she wants.

Did I mention that on our first cruise, MIL insisted that she be in charge of all of the booking? She registered the kids for the club...without our permission. She listed MIL, SIL and hubby's Aunt-in-law as those able to sign out the kids...and NOT US. She didn't even give us the password...for our own kids! :scared1: Fortunately, we were able to un-do what she had done, but it was a whole lot of angst that didn't need to happen at all.

Gotta remember the "mirthless troll of a teacher" for my kids:rotfl:
Those do help you to appreciate the good ones though;)

I made the mistake of mentioning to my DMiL that she could come with us and maybe get on a waitlist:guilty: She was so thrilled, but then immediately started planning the trip for us:eek:
When I tried to explain that we had our way of doing things and reasons, she just dismissed me as if I was stinky teen:headache:
DH doesn't want to deal with the headache of her taking over so his solution is to assume she will not try to book on her own and to not mention anything:rolleyes:

Coral has similar issue, right Coral

Is it bad that I find comfort that others are suffering with inlaw stuff as well:upsidedow

As hubby pointed out, most priests tend to say the same thing three different ways in the same homily. It seems there is a presumption that the faithful won't pay attention for 2/3 of the homily. Not that I would do that, of course....

Doreen

Congrats on making it to states!! Good luck!

My youngest son just turned 15. He is rather shy, but I am hoping to get him into the teen group as we will be on the ship for two weeks and I don't want to see him spend the whole time either working our or ordering room service!

I think I'm going to like your style of Mass:thumbsup2 :lmao:
I'm pretty excited because I just got my 1,000th! 5,000 just seems so far away. Congratulations!
Congrats:cheer2: :cheer2: You chatty people you:lmao:

I'd like to think my DMiL wouldn't go that far, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Maybe they're related to my DH:rolleyes1 ;)

mouse.jpg

My cousin took me to an amateur mining camp a few years ago in the back woods of Maine. The cabin we were in had a little mousey show up one evening while we were sitting up by the wood stove watching the 1 tv channel that came in. The mouse running back and forth across the floor was a little odd, but ok. I just kept my feet and beverage up in the chair with me. It was when the little mousey got spooked and ran into the kitchen and FLUNG OPEN THE FREAKING CABINET DOOR to get away that really freaked me out. I don't think I slept a wink that night.

Puerto Vallarta Historic Towns and Tequila Making 12:30-5:30
Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta City Tour 12:45-4:45
___

Anyone else disappointed with the times for these trips???

I was hoping for something early so we could get back to the ship for lunch and cool down.

Yeah, we were hoping for the city tour to be earlier in the morning. We were planning on the Rhythms of the Night too, but not it looks like we'll have to decide which one to choose as we can't do both.

I have a contingency to have tomorrow off, just in case, and I only want to book two ports! It will be 5am here.

UGH... I had planned on calling in sick that morning and heading in around noonish, but my boss is out this week recovering from surgery so there is no way I can't show up on time. :headache:

Friends you can choose for yourself, relatives you are stuck with, ( unless they think the ship is full!)

Friends are God's way of apologizing for our relatives.

It may have been answered already.. but does anyone know if you can be an observer for any of the ZIP LINES?? and if so what would the cost of that be>>>

Thanks in advance

Doreen
