Anyone done or consider doing the ATV tour at Desert Park? Ages 12 or older may drive the ATV, but they allow children under the age of 12 to ride along.

http://www.desertpark.net/html/

They quoted me $40 per ATV for 2 hour Desert tour (no charge for extra rider). Pretty good rate I thought. Although, they sounded a little slow when I called them. I asked the lady about reservation information and she said "We have availability this afternoon"

We reserved an 11am trip. Welcome any others who may be interested. They don't require a deposit...just requested that I reconfirm with them a few days prior, so we wouldn't be out of any money if we decided to skip.

FINALLY after 3 phone calls to DCL my pre-arrival packet just arrived
Julie did you get yours yet?

I found this on the WB boards..

Mexican party is Aca night - Tropical party is Aruba night - Ballroom under the Stars is the 23rd - Pirate night is Cabos night - Formal night is 12th - Semi-Formal night is the 17th
That's all the info we have so far.

DH and DS11 are planning on doing an ATV tour either in Cabo, or PV
In Cabo they were looking at this one http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Los-Cabos-ATV-Tour.htm
I don't know if the time will work though as they would have to take the 12:30pm time and it is 3.5 hours making it 4pm by the time they are done and to me that is cutting it too close to the all aboard time of 4:30pm

I just emailed DH your link above to see what he thinks

They are also considering the Mini jeep Rhino adventure through DCL in Acapulco

DD13 and I will be doing the horseback riding at whatever stop they decide to do the ATV

Do we have an idea of when the onboard activities that are being planned will be held? I know there is not a set time yet but an idea of when everyone would like them to be held?

I do know thatthe cabin tour is on the 18th .. time to be determined but I would like to do it about 11:00 so everyone is up and I still have time to get ready for my VR.

I personally have a feeling our Mexican deck party will be moved from Acapulco, I think we will have an afternoon deck 'sail-away' party at 1pm to compensate us for our early departure, therefore, they will not do another the same night.

I go for Mexican maybe at PV/ Cabo,

Now I know I get flamed but Columbia for Tropical and Pirates for Aruba, JMHO

Okay, excursion update.

I think I have finally figured out 2 of our days! This is hard work...

We are considering doing a private sailing trip at Cabo. It is 4 hours and $480 and all 7 of us can go. They will also decorate the boat with balloons for my daughter's 11th birthday. After the trip, we will walk over to the Cabo Wabo Cantina and just chill for the rest of the day.

Puerto Vallarta. I decided we are going to do the Pirate Zip Line adventure if there is still room. We will most likely do the 11am one. We will have 5 zippers and 2 observers. Then we will chill afterward and go to a beach or something.

Acapulco, we will try to book a Disney Excursion to the cliff divers.

Cartagena, DCL excursion not sure which one yet.

Aruba, go to a beach on our own.

Castaway Cay, hang out, possibly rent a bike. Nothing more!

I think that the pirate zips are down to 2pm now. All the earlier ones are booked.

I don't think the Pirate party will be in Cabo for the EB
Cabo is the last stop for the WB cruise so I think on the EB it will be held later in the cruise

Formal night will probably be the first full day at sea
2nd formal night will probably be the last full day at sea or the day prior

Semi Formal will probably be midway through on a sea day

Mexican party will probably be in PV and maybe bring on some local Mariachi band since the ship is in port late?

Just my 2cents

Here is the list of the theme nights for the WB
Formal - night 3 (May 12 Monday)
Tropical night 5 (May 14 Wednesday)
Semi formal - night 8 (May 17 Saturday)
Mexican deck party - night 10 (May 19 Monday)
Pirate night - night 13 (May 22 Thursday)
Formal ballroom under the starts - night 14 (May 23 Friday)

Someone asked about their budget a few pages ago, so here is mine. Keep in mind this is for 7 people!

Cabo $500.00
Puerto Vallarta $500.00
Acapulco $500.00
Cartagena $500.00
Aruba $500.00
Castaway Cay $100.00
Tips $1,200.00
Shutters (30 6x8 and 15 8x10) $440.00
Allowance $150 per person $1,050.00
includes smooties, souvineers, snacks, pins
Spa $240.00
Wine package $400.00

I used info I found from other cruises and made some random guesses as to the amount. (Like the wine package and photos).

I think this should cover everything. We don't allow the kids to use the arcade, so we don't need that. I know our Cabo sailing trip will be more, but our Aruba will be on our own, so we should average out.

I also have a random $565 for anything that may come up.

Are you still putting everything on those fortune cookies coming through to pay the cruise off by the 19th???:mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

I'm waiting for American Express to close their previous billing cycle so I won't have to lay out the cash until late June. Not that it really matters in these days of low interest rates, but it's the principle of the thing.

Sounds very logical, I agree with local band at PV, maybe Aruba as well, or a star like Susan Egan, we know its not her, but someone else maybe.

I have been working my credit card cycles, but for paying off 2009's cruise, its worked well as the central interest rate decisions of governments in USA and UK, have been just before my end of months statement, and the dollar falls slightly at your interest rate decision then slowly goes back up, so for Jan/Feb/March/April, the rate was good.

This months swapped to paying for the DCL shore trips at PV and Cabo and Disneyland Paris.

I am 85% PIF for the Eastern in 2009, can leave the rest ofr a while as even if the rate moves against us, its now very small to pay off.

I'm doing the same thing, I asked my TA to bill it on the 12th as my billing cycle ends on the 10th. My CD with the saved money in it comes due on June 3rd, and the bill will be due for full payment on June 5th. So that will work perfectly and I will be fully PIF on June 5th! Whew...that took a lot of planning!

I have programed all ports of call into my iPhone so i can check
weather any time
