Hey Roger, how is your neck doing? :grouphug:

Slightly better. Had a good day Saturday and this morning but yesterday was not so good. Thanks for asking. This is going to be one of those slow healing things. :sad1:

Adventures by Disney is running a sweepstakes for a chance to win an ABD trip to Philadelphia, Washington DC and Williamsburg.

:goodvibes
Don't even think of not going!!!!!!!!!!
dont_even_think_black_tshirt.jpg

Disney only pays minimum wage or a little above it!!:rolleyes1

Property Control is where all the real bargains are!!!!! :woohoo: Returns from the park and property from all the guests.:rolleyes1

You could find awesome stuff there...:goodvibes

:flower3:
dear micmse & pdager....you guys are very caring people, having the
reflections of helping others. that is what i read over & over. by
ignoring the ongoings, your examples..set in motion...alot of "good"
reasons...for others to support and share their blessings, and even
the obstacles..facing us in life. there isn't alot of people "holding" those
ideas....you wrote about, per mr. disney's. i just can't help but wonder..
:rolleyes1
do you realize....how much what you wrote about....was reflected ,in your
daily life? by s/s [ signs & symptoms]. ...more than i think...you already
know? oh, inspiration, is your second nature.
[ you & ms. pbager, by observations. ]

oh, don't think... it is missed by others neither. :goodvibes

sooo.. what do you think about....mr disney & his insights ? and have
you wonder..who helped..him? family..his kids?

here's my take....,

all his investments...were about the value of children. i think he recognized
society, in general....have never given their situation much thought. [ even
today...those hurting children...do not received...what they deserved..in
comparsion to adults...is a sad fact.]. it paid..off....because.., there were
people like yourself, with the same ideas, that not only "could but did" ,
influenced others.

..in our family....it was passed on ..being a parent encompasses 2 main
ideas. one being you are an educator and second is being a protector.
taken to heart, explained...our interests...going on a disney vacation.

every life..has a journey to make...including the concepts mentioned by
mr. disney. [ one becomes what they chose to practice....& if that has
any merits...than chosing the things today, one will want to remember
tommorrow...will prduced the desired results. ]. however, sometimes..
one will be redirected...by "faith"..not necesarily..fate. & thats where
i got to be where iam @ today.

faith to me, is not religion...rather the purpose for religions. by my
experiences, it best can be defined, for me, "what" i believe..in my
heart. oh..i don't pretend..to walk on water, rather..i know someone
that does...

furthermore..when i first posted here?..i was called stupid...now what
kind of idiot...who enpowered themselves...by putting others down?
where i come from....those who must hurt others' feelings/physical
to make themselves..feel better about their being....are recognized,
mentally ill.., however, @ my age...seeking approval..isn't on my list.

i think walt..was determined...because he had faith in what he believe
in. and the insights..to know they were based in reality. [ our children
are very valauble but they came with certain needs. that are their
parent's responsiblities.& could be supported...by creating a "safe haven"
to interact & share..with others]. but he also...knew..it wasn't enough,
..the value of "application"..was to demonstrate ....it by holding on.
for application, i think he knew...,it was where he would get the
power..for his dreams..to come true. now the rest is history but i
believe...his dreams..will always be worth..keeping..alive...passing on
to one generation after the next. :flower3:

..right now..i see there are politcs..& false proplets..mixing it together.
...listening...they are saying....having alot fun with hating. while iam
not that smart..i know hating & hurting others...produces god wrath.
and has nothing to do..with a true calling.
*what a sad & sick...message. how great mankind..are? when we still used
war as our primary controlling device. psst, there are more effective options
available...if we chose.

going to disney...isn't about hurting others...especially, by status.
nor is it required...to have my point of views..or anyone elses'. i believe,
it does behooves families..sharing their secrets, heir adventures, and their
feelings. i guess, i "fee" alot of values...in the ways...walt set up
disneyland..to support our family's mental health. but when i go, iam there
for fun..and a lil' pixiedust: for my family.

me?..i happened to think..life is a funny thing..so one's..sense of humor..
works there too! is this what you was thinking..ms. mismce? i'm curious,

;)

now.. back to our remodeling..and chasing..the turkeys..all over the vinton
hills..* you know?..justm?..where your daughter going to marry. beautiful.
:bride: . oh, on the 11-dayer....there were a few "turkeys"...runnning around
too..of all the places~

Arlene, Diane and I were just wondering where you disappeared to!!:confused3 :confused3

I went to pdarraha' house (aka Pamela) during the holidays and met friends of hers. Naturally, there is an age difference in both our families and her friends wanted to know how we met.:goodvibes I told them over the internet on the DISboards. I was then asked if we have Disney in common which I said yes of course but that is not all we can talk about!!! I tried to explain that we have a life style in common more than just Disney. It is what we believe in life and how we to choose to live it. Only other people who believe in Walt and his thoughts can only understand this.:flower3:

Life is not worth living if you can not laugh at least several times a day.:rotfl: :rotfl:

To whomever was asking about sending in ball caps for DIY printing... (Sorry can't find the post)

The printer says he can not do them. Sorry.

To the folks asking about shirt sizing....

I have the information and will update the shopping cart with size information tonight. One oddball thing to be aware of, the shirts are sized by WIDTH (presumably needed for printing area) not CHEST. So you have to multiply the width by two to get the chest size. :confused3 Yeah, math.

Shirt sizes for adults range from S to 6XL. Youth from S (2-4) to XL (about an 18, I think). If you need something for an infant or toddler, please go to http://www.dharmatrading.com and let me know what you want. Count it as a Ladies Tank special order during the pre-sale. And make a comment.

16 Mondays until TOAL.

Thanks for the official Monday count. I forgot to ask :rotfl2:

I doubt I'll ever get caught up. In-laws still have pay-by-the minute AOL dial up, so no Dising from there. Kid's First Communion went well. We had a nice little party afterwards. Deacon Grandpa & Eucharistic Minister Grandma managed to position themselves in the right place to serve the kids. I'll post pictures later.

Congratulations !!

From what I recall from lurking -

Monica, I'm so sorry about your accident. I hope you got checked out. I know when I was rear ended years ago I felt fine until about 8 hours later, then I went to the Dr. because I couldn't move my neck.

Rgoer - I'm sorry about your pain in the neck.

I'm excited about t-*****! Thanks Esteri.

Looks like everyone had a blast at Philly Star Wars / Castaway Cay adventure.

Kristina and Laurie - Wegmans, huh? Sounds good to me if they have wine!

Kid Journals - please volunteer on The Pirate Zone. I started a thread on the pre-cruise/LA part of the board & I am not nearly organized enough to keep track of all of this in 2 places. I think all the port days are covered right now, but we need sea day volunteers. All the info, including pages that still need volunteers is in the first post.

M, please sign me up for one or two or 600 pages. You pick. B-ball has me spinning right now. I promise I'll get it done !! (really, I'm good for it)

Oh, and when I go, just dump me in Cook Inlet. I've always wanted to be buried at sea. I hate cemetaries. Go to the beach and think about me.

I always liked that scene from Rocket Gilbralter where the grand kids give the grand father the viking funeral. But I figure it'll be too hard for my kids to shoot flaming arrows at me while I'm drifting off to sea (then again maybe not). I always tell my kids that I really want to be cremated but if they just can't bring themselves to do it, just stick me in the ground 'cause after all I'll be dead & won't care. Pretty heady stuff for an 8 y/o and 11 y/o.

Well take it easy, and let it heal. You want to be feeling good for the TOAL. :)

Hi Lil' G!

Nice to see you back over here. I told you on that other thread to give this repo thread a try again. Seems like pretty great people around!

Wow, that was quite a deep and meaningful post. I think the points you make about kids and values are so very true and so very difficult to explain with works.

I'll give you a recap of what I think works...

Kindness and patience! And of course, the golden rule "treat others as you would want to be treated".

We all make mistakes and parenting sure has many challenges, but do the best you can, teach goodness and appreciation and give lots of hugs.

Have a great day LG! :)

Glad you brought OUR Lil'Grumpy back to all of us!!!

I said somewhere back in thread????? he was the sould of this thread!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

As others have said, you should be able to have the 10 year old move up since he's so close to the cutoff. My 11 yr old will be in that age group with your sons too. I think you said you were doing the 2 pm zip line in PV. It'll be good if they get to know each other in the clubs, b/c my guys say they are really excited about the zip line, but they'll probably need some encouragement. Now the girl, I'm not worried about. That kid has no fear. Although she'll probably want to do it in her formal dress!

My oldest DS will need a lot of encouragement!! We'll probably have to tie him up and tape his mouth shut to get him to go on it. My youngest would jump right on without the harness.

To confirm, Kids within 'one month' of the next age group are allowed into the higher group if they are considered mature enough for that group. They have the list of ages submitted from your reservation.

Disney monitors ages closely, for example in the parks when booking or attending a meal, and you have a hotel reservation, they pick up the kids ages on the ADR's. so they know if your kids should be eating adult food/prices at 12.

Thanks!

DCL has also added the WII on board.

Great news! My DS's will be very happy.

Laurie, it was great to meet you & your family !!

I can walk you through that if you want. It's pretty easy. Although when I first started, it took me about 40 minutes to post one picture !!

The photo of the kids has a "cool factor" to it. Too cool for me anymore !!

It was great meeting your family too Lisa. For some reason your brother reminds me of my cousin Paul. Same smile:goodvibes That photo of the kids came out awesome:cool2: I'm still waiting for Darren to show me how to load the pics from the camera to the computer. He may have finally caught that bug that was going around because he went straight to bed when he got home today:sick:

I really enjoyed the Star Wars exhibit mini-meet pictures. Thanks for sharing. Looks like you guys had a great time!

It really was a lot of fun. Muchas gracias to Lisa for suggesting it and setting it up:cheer2: :cheer2:
