Hit some road blocks that will require cemetery and records hall trips...

I hit some a road block a while ago. My grandfather was told that his parents died in a car accident when he was 2. Finally got his mother's birth & death certificates and she was single when she had him. No mention of his father. This was back in the early 1900's so nothing really to go on and no family on his side left who would know.

I might be wantin' to go to Mass just to see you all onstage. Wonder what my Christian pastor brother would say about that?

I dunno about your Christian pastor brother, but my Christian pastor brother would probably have more to say about what happens outside of Mass than he would of me actually attending Mass.

Ok...time to run for the ceremony..wish me luck!

Will check in later and see if I can get the times up for another port ot two tonight!

Have a great evening!

Hope everything went well with the ceremony! Thanks for looking into the ports!!!

Thanks...

... these "unpleasant discoveries" have given me a continuious (lite) headache these past couple of days. Sort of a touchy thing too - leaves me kind of in an odd mental state.

So ... guess what I'm eating about now... real guesses please ... and NO need to post your guesses... just scroll down when you have a guess in mind.

Going to see if I can do this correctly. IF it works, this is the list of all the excursions listed for our cruise. They may be different than what DCL has said they are offering...these are the ones that CAN be booked. With the exception of:
CABO:
Chileno Power Snorkel
Dolphin Swim
Dolphin Encounter

PV:
Banderas Bay Luxury Sailing Adventure
Dolphin Swim
Dolphin Encounter

I have no idea if this means that these excursions are already totally full, or if they are full for now.

I am a bit...I know that my great-grandparents on my father's side came through Ellis Island from Italy. We can trace our genealogy on my maternal grandmothers side back to the 1600's when they came over from England as one of the early settlers in Massachusetts - true story, one of my ancestors was accused of being a witch in Salem during the witch hunts.
I have not found any witches, but there are some of my ancestors that I have been told not to pursue to much or I might need legal help. :rotfl2:

Soak up the spectacular scenery as you embark on a journey by catamaran to the longest peninsula in the world — Land's End — and lose yourself to the magic of Los Arcos and Lover's Beach.

Embark on a scenic sailing adventure via 65-foot catamaran — past rocky bluffs, pristine golden beaches and tranquil seaside coves — and make your way to the world-famous spot where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean meet: Land's End. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, Land's End is world-renowned for its dramatic scenery, where crystal-blue waters mingle with magnificent rock formations. As you sail in and around the peninsula, enjoy an informative narration by famed ocean explorer J.M. Cousteau on the region's wildlife, including the early history of Baja California.

During your trip, make your way to the most important and recognizable landmark of the region: the Los Arcos rock formation. Soaring high in the sky and arching out from the deep blue sea, the Los Arcos rock formation was created naturally over thousands of years due to wind and sea conditions. Snap a picture of this dazzling structure, and marvel at the nearby hidden cove of Lover's Beach, before making your way down the coast with a refreshing beverage in hand. Bask in the warm sunshine and cool ocean breezes as you pass a neighboring sea lion colony at the Los Frailes rock islets, and revel in the weathered passageway known as the Arch of Poseidon. You can tell her more than that.

Besides going to Mass on the cruise, tell her that I am going to bless the Quiet Cove pool so that you can swim in the world's largest holy water font! :rotfl:

Fantastic! My parents are visiting for the weekend, so maybe I will save that for Mother's Day :)

Reminds me, I got the cutest t-shirt the other day. The purchase helps fund breast cancer research, and it says
"Save the TA-TAS"
Took it home and showed Jay. He just looked at it.
He didn't know what TA-TAS were!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
That man is out of it. :sad1:

My favorite:

I hit some a road block a while ago. My grandfather was told that his parents died in a car accident when he was 2. Finally got his mother's birth & death certificates and she was single when she had him. No mention of his father. This was back in the early 1900's so nothing really to go on and no family on his side left who would know.

I have somewhat of the same story with my paternal grandmother. No one including my DF knows exactly what her real name was or where she was from :confused3

I dunno about your Christian pastor brother, but my Christian pastor brother would probably have more to say about what happens outside of Mass than he would of me actually attending Mass.
Cheers!

I might be wantin' to go to Mass just to see you all onstage. Wonder what my Christian pastor brother would say about that?

Both of you will have something to talk about with Cherie, her brother is a Christian minister as well.

Hi Gang,
I'll be checking in sporadically - but yesterday my FIL passed away so I've got a lot of family stuff to do.

BTW - WE ARE PIF
Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss!

Congrats on PIF though!

Going to see if I can do this correctly. IF it works, this is the list of all the excursions listed for our cruise.
Thanks for posting all those, Stacey!
Unfortunately really need the times to figure out some stuff- maybe I can bohter you later to look at JUST the few we have that need to 'coordinate' around another excursion or hoping is at the same time for portions of our family to do one thing while the rest is doing another? that would be too time consuming to pull up the times on every single item on that list!

Also unfortunately it looks like quite a few things listed on the website are not actually available on your list of actual things that can be booked and that is very disappointing. DCL really needs to be on top of this type of thing and delete things off their website listings of excursions if they aren't actually making them available to book. :(
