LOL One more to go ...Dylans on Thursday then we are finally done for another year ..LOL

pirate:

i remember last year with all the birthday shouts to your family! I'm glad i only have the 2 dk's with bdays this week!
strange thing is that this is the week for all my daycare kids bdays too! we've already went to parties on sat and sun. and had one kid's bday yesterday. we have today off, but tomorrow is my ds, thurs is dd, and friday one of my daycare moms will be delivering twins! it's been a crazy bday week!

And yet, I , a Paid-in-Full customer, STILL.... has nothing!

same here...still waiting!

we are trying to get things together as this weekend dd has a dance competition. she will dance a solo to the little mermaids "part of your world" and it makes me cry every time i see her perform it. i have yet to see her dance to it in costume, so i think i'll be a mess! this is her sixth year dancing, but her first year to do a solo. she also dances to "fame" as an acrobatics solo. makes me sooo proud!
after all that is done and over, we'll come home and have cake for ds and dd's bdays. i'm so tired just thinking of this week!
hope everyone is having a great day!

Just got this from my TA:

Entertainment Options for the Panama Canal Cruises

Some of the entertainment options that will be offered during the 15-night Panama Canal sailings include:

· Welcome Aboard Variety Show (50 minutes)
· The Golden Mickeys (50 minutes)
· When Mickey Dreams (50 minutes)
· Disney’s The Art of the Story (50 minutes)

· Twice Charmed – An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story (50 minutes)
· Disney Dreams. . . An Enchanted Classic (55 minutes)
· Farewell Variety Show (50 minutes)
· Six specialty shows (50 minutes each) that are uniquely designed for Guests cruising on this special itinerary

· Deck Parties - three high-energy evening deck parties will take place onboard the ship at Aruba, Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas. Two afternoon deck parties will also be offered during these sailings.

Whilst it doesn't answer all our questions, it is a start & at least helps a bit with Palo planning as we have a 1:3 chance of getting Pirate night right!

Celestine

We had ,When Mickey Dreams (50 minutes) /Disney’s The Art of the Story (50 minutes) in the Med last year on the 11 night cruise they were very good indeed, when mickey dreams was a bit of a acrobat show and not to be confused with fanstasmic when Mickey dreams.

The deck parties generally follow what I thought, (Deck Parties - three high-energy evening deck parties will take place onboard the ship at Aruba, Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas. Two afternoon deck parties will also be offered during these sailings.)

Aruba was always my first guess for Pirates night, I thought the Mexician deck party would be PV this time not Acapulco as we leave too early. Cabo is a surprise for me,as its a tender port and the delays might have a knock on effect in the evening.

Spent a couple of days at Disneyland Paris and, although it might be heresy on these boards, the adults in the party wished we'd cut out one of those days; there just wasn't enough 'unique' about it to make it worth the time vs. the other things we wanted to see in Paris, but it was primarily for SWMBOJr to placate her when we'd be spending the rest of the time wandering through ancient buildings and museums. (Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with DLRP, just would have preferred to see more of France instead of being at Disney, but that's the tradeoff of traveling with kindergarteners).

I can totally agree with this thinking. I am truly grateful that I got the chance to visit DLRP but I wish that my whole time in Paris was not spent at the resort. I enjoyed the parks, but you're right, there's not enough that is unique to make DLRP the primary destination.

hmmmm.....deck parties on port nights, I don't like those odds....I really hope Pirate night is not the same day as Aruba (wouldn't make sense for it to be Cabo or Aca)....while I don't need as much time as the Captain to get ready, I do need a couple of hours. This will seriously cut into my Aruba time, especially since we are there until 11:30pm.

Given the order of the ports, I wonder if this is for the WB more than us? This is the WB itinerary:

We have a late night at Aruba (11:30 on board), so I wouldn't think that would be a deck party night. The WB leaves at 9:30, prime time for deck party.....

please oh please let it be for the WB

The trip was pretty good, transportation issues not withstanding. No, our bags were lost in the mountain of luggage at Terminal 5 Heathrow on our way to Paris so we spent the week without any luggage.

Now back home harassing BA to reimburse us for the $3000USD (considering the awful exchange rate) in purchases we had to make in order to make it through the week. It definitely added a lot of stress and forced us to have to take time out from our touring plan to visit shopping malls instead of monuments. Thank goodness we knew about Auchan in Paris and Marks & Spencer in the UK and were able to find clothes cheaper than what we were finding at Disneyland Paris.

Paris and London were a lot of fun and we packed a lot into a few days (Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Boat Tour on the Seine, the Louvre, Napolean's Tomb, the Conciergie, Notre Dame, Place de la Concorde, Chateau de Vincennes, Eurostar to London, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, St. James Park, the Royal Mews and the Queen's Collection at Buckingham Palace, stood on the (not) Prime Meridian in Greenwich, the Museum of London, and Windsor Castle).

BA claims to have found two of our three bags but no idea when they will return them. Unfortunately, all of our winter jackets were packed in there so we hope it doesn't turn too cold in Chicago before we get them back. We left in snow in Chicago and returned in snow in London, but otherwise the weather wasn't too bad, which was lucky since we had no winter clothes.

Still sorting photos. Will post on my webpage whenever I get through.

Well J.R. sounds like never a dull moment!!!:thumbsup2 Looking forward to seeing the pictures!!!:cheer2:

I told my AAA TA about all the problems folks were having trying to book excursions, Palo, etc. on Disney's website and this is what she sent me:

Disney’s website is not a very good site…..or no, it may be good it is just not big enough for the volume they do……if you have a problem, let me know and I will try to find a phone number to use to call things in…….we will find a way to get you want you want!!

I'm not sure what she will be able to do, but if I spend all night with the swimming fishes I may call her on the 19th.:lmao: This may be an option for others.

By the end of the night .........we will want the little fishies to drown or someone pan-fry them.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hmmm, we're renting here. Maybe that's why none of our neighbors talk to us...

Sounds like we are snobs:snooty: but the last time someone rented next to us...the grass grew to 3 feet tall. We ened up calling the village and reporting it. I later found out (from the neighbor herself) that her husband beat her. He was the president of some big company!!!! One night she just took off on him and never came back!!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

This could be a mistake but........

That will take you to our county website... Then you can either view from Live TV link towards the top of the page or click on the button next to 4/9/08 Planning Commission...

I will be first and fourth on the agenda... (And remember to ignore the cool sexy raspy voice. I don't always sound that way. Only when i'm sick.)

I already have it bookmarked.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks J.R., but I think I can tough it out.
I never get mail from Mickey.

Did you check with your renters in Alaska? Knowing DCL they probably still think that you are living there. :lmao: Your renters are problably thinking that you are giving them an all expense cruise as a renters bonus. :rotfl2:

Happy Belated Birthday Melissa!!!

Ummm, no.
Our address was changed with TA and DCL months ago, and our mail is still being forwarded to VA.

Not to mention that we have actually reserved 3 DCL vacations (and gone twice) since we moved!

DCL DOES READ THE BOARDS!!!
THE MICKEY FISH ARE GONE!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just looked at my reservation (ya know to make sure I'm not sending my renters on vacation...) and the Mickey fish are gone!

It is now Mickey in a snorkel mask swimming around in the ocean.

I thought that was a much better reason than "Disney Hates You!"

Did Anyone Notice???????

No more swimming fishes!!!!!!:worship: :worship: There is Mickey scuba diving!!!! Maybe they improved the site.:cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2:

hehe

I had to go look. It's definitley different. There's still a few fish swimming around behind Mickey though. Just no more Mickey fish.

The pages are different too. I put in a random date for a cruise and the way the avaialble categories are listed is new.

Now, we'll see if these changes help or hurt the booking process.

That's new since I checked last night for a room assignment. (For the 1000th time) By the way, still GTY. I don't really hold out much hope for an assignment any time soon, as many WB repo'ers are still GTY at 31 days out.

I hope I do not see this too much!

My take/ guess on schdule

The entertainment list that Celestine has posted is for the May WB
I am sure the shows are the same but the deck party nights may be different because of the different ports / times -

I have spoken with a few people at DCL, higher ups, and they have not received the information from the ship itself as to when the dining rotation (theme nights) will be. They have said that the people in charge of this on the ship are the ones that actually make up the schedules and the offices on land have not received the information from the Magic for the EB sailing

patiently waiting our turn for info :surfweb:
