I know I worried up until the moment I logged on that night that they hadn't straightened it out, but it was fine . . . so don't be concerned. Of course, as you noted, 90 days out is not exactly going to be the easy time to log in anyway!

We didn't get our cruise pack yet but for once we booked through an agent and not direct with DCL so I don't know if that makes a difference.

At DLP we are treating ourselves it will be my Bday and we are staying Castle Club with a park view what decadence!

The day after I booked and paid for flights hotel etc, Keith learned he was being made redundant, Whoops!

So we have 2 wonderful Disney experiences all booked and paid for, before we have to worry about how we will fund our travelling in the future.
We may be staying on board all 15 days as all the food is paid for!!!!!!!


Julie we definitely are interested in Cush's Coaster from what I've read on the DLP board you are right no fastpass and the queues don't seem to have died down much, but we've got VIP passes the rest of the time so we queue for that.

Hi Arlene - DH got off the phone last night with Disney Visa and told me with disbelief that he had just spoken with a woman named Antoinette. He asked me if anyone is actually named "Antoinette"! I suggested it might be that each person in the call center is required to have a different name, so use made-up names. Figured you would know!

He was calling because our card had yet another security hold (I appreciate they are watching out for us, but this seems to happen every couple months!). This one was from buying our trip insurance for TOAL yesterday afternoon. Since the PIF payment was fine a couple weeks ago, you would think that a trip insurance charge fairly close to that would be perfectly normal. Oh well, "Antoinette" was very helpful and friendly and it was easily taken care of.

Lynn, we didn't stay castle club, but we LOVED the DLH . . . could not beat the convenience and it was a lovely, lovely hotel. Our room was huge, although I think we might have been upgraded. Crush's coaster is really fun and very unique, but you will have to get there early and queue even before the park officially opens. Of course, since you are about to go the crowds are bound to be much lower than when we were there in august.

Sorry to hear about Keith's job -- keep the faith and keep your options open and I'm sure something will work out for you.

OMG this is unbelievable. Is this some kind of record or something?
My husband and kids sent off applications for passports on friday March 21st (I had to wait because my bc had my first name spelled wrong and I didn't realize that the county clerks office would be closed on that Friday so I couldn't get a corrected copy with the correct spelling of my name!)

We got their passports today!
That's 8 business days. ONLY 8 BUSINESS DAYS.
I had no idea you could get them that fast- anyone heard of getting them that fast? We didn't pay for expedited either!

If I'd known they would process them that quickly I wouldn't have sent off for the "new" copy of Jeff's bc just in case they write back saying his copy is no good. But this means the county clerks office was WRONG on all counts... they said we couldn't use the wallet sized (but long form/included all the same info) bc's for the kids... but we did and they got their passports. They said Jeff's BC needed to be the new kind with background color/etc. issued after 9/11 (he got his in 1996)- but we used that white one from 1996 and he got his passport in the mail today. So I spent $38 for another copy of his for nothing. but ohwell- what's done is done. LOL I just wanted to be prepared in case they sent notice that his bc couldn't be used and had to have a new one- yanno?

MY passport I did on Tuesday March 25th- I wonder if mine gets processed that fast? They'll have to read my extra notes about 2 marriages/one divorce (remarried same man- so 2nd marriage license shows we both have the same last name!) and hopefully that won't cause problems but *fingers crossed* it shouldn't. Do you know Jeff put down the WRONG DATE for our 2nd wedding and still got the passport? LOL I guess that stuff is not that important (he was only 2 days off- ) I can't believe they already got them!

One weird thing though- they sent passports seperately ofcourse- and same day (today) we also received back seperately the birth certificates- but in JEFF'S envelope they also returned the 2nd passport photo. Can you figure out why they'd do that? I thought they needed 2-one for the passport and one to keep in their records- the postmaster even said that... and no one else's was returned- was his stuck in there by mistake maybe? weirdness...

This message board has really gotten to my DH. He was reading Andrew's "story" over my shoulder last night. (Good one Andrew).

Then this morning he told me he had a dream that we were on the ship sitting on the deck by the pool when I just disappeared. It seems I abandoned him to be with my DIS friends. I think he is feeling a little threatened. So make sure to make him feel welcomed. He will be the guy in the corner all by himself. Good thing he doesn't read this board except over my shoulder, otherwise I would be in trouble. He really is a great guy, just a little shy.

Sounds like my DH- well he's not really "shy" he's just not that talkative until maybe he gets to know people and they get to know him and he feels more comfortable. He's just way less outgoing than I am. LOL I'm more shy than he is- but way more talkative. figure that one out. LOL

It didn't help that a couple of days ago some friends told us that they'd heard of a cruise line that did the canal in the dark and the customers were all sueing, we had said that Disney would never do anything like that!!!
So to read Panama Canal 4:20am (which is his main reason for wanting to do the trip) had him really worried.

I know today is April 1st--------Great Newsletter Tom !!! Sent it to DH to try and fool, no such luck.

This ISN'T A JOKE..........Check out budget board selling your gold. Prices have been dropping but still good to make some extra cash. I just heard from goldfellows this afternoon, my package arrived this morning and they pay for shipping. If you mention disboards on form they give you an extra 10 % increase.

Anyway I sen't in my broken scrap gold and I am getting a check for $458.95. For stuff that was broken and things I hadn't worn since the 80's.


Hope this helps with getting some extra cash !!!

I watched that thread in the beginning but haven't been following for a while. I wondered if the online selling was worth it. Sounds like it was for you. I don't think I have that much gold to sell, I had mostly costume jewelry. Most of my real gold I still wear, but I may look into anyway.

I'm pretty sure all of them out here sell wine. All of our grocery stores sell it too. Although you won't find 2 Buck Chuck in a grocery store, only TJ's.
