We watched the last bit of the game.... We assumed the reason the Flyers were so excited (as if they had won the cup!) is because they couldn't believe they won!

Neither could anyone in DC.
:sad2:
Groundhog....

Just a fun post, so brining it over again and again.....

Anyone in GTY get a room yet?

I laugh every time I see that!

We got a Cat 3 a couple of months ago.... Our TA called all the time..... She felt bad for messing up on booking day -- she booked me on the May repo!!! And if I hadn't seen her about 3pm that day and mentioned how excited we were to sail in August.....

Were you on the thread that day? I remember it happening to someone.
That was also the origin of Andy's "I would poop a brick" comment.

Nope since I am a smart add.......I got my veranda room all picked out with a welcome mat in front of it!!!

Keep watching because DCL can't make up their mind if they want me or not!!:lmao:

I wonder how early she had to get up for that? That would be way too much work for me! :rotfl: :rotfl: That and I only where flats....I hate tight clothes.....I don't mind dressing/looking my age (mids 40's).

But, I am totally happy with myself -- and all my original parts! :rotfl2:

You know, it is possible she had never gone to bed the night before. Maybe those were her "Friday Night Party Clothes".

(I actually once walked into a Saturday morning gymnastics recital in shirt and tie. I'd come from a late business dinner straight to an airplane and straight to the recital so I wouldn't miss it. I am sure I got some odd looks from the sweatsuit-clad mommies.)

Here are a few pictures from today. I volunteered to host a Strawberry Pie making demo for the pre-school kids in Kaleas' class. This week was a taste perception themed week ... so the strawberry thing was good - especially since Alicia had picked up a flat of strawberries from central coast and the season is just starting up.

I made sure every child in the class got to do something - from pouring the bananna filling mix - to stirring the mix and milk - pouring the filling into the pie pans - scooping strawberries - pouring the glaze - then spraying the whipped cream on top! It was truly great fun hosting this for the kids... and afterwards, her teacher thanked me for coming in while saying I was one of a few parents consistently volunteer special diversions in the classroom - and it was appreciated. Besides - before our teacher came in she said she started the day in a "funk" and my activity brought her spirits up! :goodvibes

[
The finished pies had a rough appearance to them since they were somewhat made by the hands of the kids - but they sure tasted wonderful!

The owner of the school came by and in a friendly tone asked what the occassion was that I brought in the special activity - and I replied there was NO special reason - to which she replied "those were the BEST types of occassions"! < wink >

Tom, that looked like so much fun!!! When my older 2 were in school (I started homeschooling when oldest ds started 4th grade & oldest dd started 1st) I just used to come in and read to the class! LOL! Pie would have been so much more fun!

I just have to say one more thing....is your dd the shortest in the class? My youngest is always the shortest in her classes. Last summer for VBS (there were 2 classes of 30 for her age) she was the shortest of both classes!
Dh is over 6' and I'm over 5'5" and she is our only *short* child -- 17 dd is a hair under 5'9".
We are just always excited to find other *short* kids! :)

Hey JR,

Were you ever reunited with your luggage?

Or is it still on vacation?

As we are winding up to the magic limit of pages/posts, the next thread will magically appear in this location once this thread is locked.

Pay no attention to the thread behind the curtain, lets max this one out

That is how I am, so I have no understanding of why someone would spend so much time and effort. Oh well, to each their own, if everyone was like me, shoe designers would go out of business and that would be bad for the economy!

:sad2: .

It reminded us of the year we were the 1st place team and we lost int he first round.........

Yes. That was me! If she wasnt' sucha good friend of mine I would have been really angry! ;) I had even put the date I wanted in my subject line of the email I had sent her..... She then told me that she doesn't read the subject lines.... I told her that it was a really good idea to read my subject lines since that is where I put the main idea of the email! ;)

Hmmmm, another good point. I try so very hard not to judge people, but this one was too good to pass up! And, I wouldn't have even remembered if it weren't for the picture of the crazy heels that Crash posted. I just had to share...I'll try to behave better next time. (Or, I will bring my camera next time so I can share the visual with y'all!) :cool2:

Do you know how hard it was not to post...UGH! I am not a good listener and I am impatient...just like all the other Leos I am sure! ;)

Even better!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I suspected you would appreciate that! My DD14 will fully cooperate and strategically stand near her so I can take a picture of my Daughter that will accidentally include Posh Spice. We'll get a big kick out of it! :)

I'm a short kid.
Growing up, I was always the second shortest in any class, skating team, dance line, ice show, you name it. I never got to be the cute smallest one. 2nd shortest gets no glory. :)

Yes oh great and mighty Oz

No, sorry, that's Great and Mighty Odd.

You know, it is possible she had never gone to bed the night before. Maybe those were her "Friday Night Party Clothes".

Walk of Shame straight to gymnastics. Awesome.

You need to understand, it really stinks to be a Philadelphia team/fan/player.

It has been about 25-30 years since any of our teams have won a championship. A few teams have gone to the big game/series and bombed.

So when we win in round one, we need to celebrate like its the championship. That whole

Take What You Can!
attitude....

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Philly fan welcoming first round draft picks to the town by booing them on draft day doesn't help much either.

Gosh 25-30 years since a championship. Boo-hoo.
Sincerely,
Cleveland

G'mornin' pirate:s

Today is my Friday. Yay. Tomorrow morning we drive to Cleveland for the weekend.

Excursions, etc.
We're not booking any DCL excursions, so all I have to do on the 19th is Palo dinner & brunch and a massage. Of course, I have no idea when to book dinner because of the nonanswers we are getting about formal & pirate nights. Brunch and massage are easier, I just have to hope that I don't have either one during Wenches Tea or one of our tastings - we signed up for the lush package!

Here's what we're doing:
Cabo - private charter sailboat

PV - non-DCL zip line with this crazy crew

Acapulco - wander around by ourselves, maybe try to see the divers from the secret non-excursion location I've read about

Cartagena - on our own (gasp! shock! horror!) Let's just say DH is way more comfortable in a Central/South American country than your average tourist, plus we may have our own personal tourguide. We have a friend at the embassy. He may be transferred before we get there, but we can at least get the down low from him

Aruba - Jolly Roger's Jolly Pirates

Castaway - lounging and rugby!

OMG, that was a bit much at 6 am. :faint:

Too cute, Tom! Reminds me of my days as the official Apple Crisp mom at DSs preschool. When we left that school, instead of individual teacher gifts, we gave the school an apple peeler/corer/slicer contraption and a baking dish.

Hey Lisa & M!

I had such fun playing "Circle TIme teacher" for that half hour! Plus Kalea got a kick out of seeing her Dad do stuff for her class too (I think - either that or she was embarassed beyond words!).

And, may I now offer my "in-port" plans as of this morning?

Here's what we're doing:
Cabo - Wake up in a calm panic with NO plans... then relax to go with the flow...

PV - Wake up in a calm panic with NO plans... then relax to go with the flow...

Acapulco - Wake up in a calm panic with NO plans... then relax to go with the flow...

Cartagena - Wake up in a calm panic with NO plans... then relax to go with the flow...

Aruba - Wake up in a calm panic with NO plans... then relax to go with the flow...

Castaway - Wake up in a calm panic with NO plans... then relax to go with the flow...

Seriously, we'll put something together someday - maybe the day before we arrive in port.... <wink>
