Pirates Not In the Caribbean Deck Party

That's just odd.
On the westbound, Pirate night is at Cabo....
And, today's my birthday !!yea me,
yea me,
I'm gonna have CAKE !!
Has anyone gotten response from DCL regarding the lockout of adding/deleting from wish list for excursions?
Looks sorta like the creature in the Mos Isly (or however you spell it!) cantina in Star Wars.
Task Force Formation Alert
I started a thread on the pirate zone for anyone interested.
Last time we cruised, I made journals for the kids. For our WDW days, I used the ones from www.themouseforless.com, but I wasn't thrilled with their very general DCL pages, so I made my own. There was a double page spread for each day with a few activities (word search, solve a puzzle, find the answer to a question type of thing) related to where we were that day (look for 6-toed cats in Key West, learn a few Spanish words in Costa Maya, etc.). On sea days, I had some on-board things to do (how many steps is our room from the kids club, go down the Mickey slide at least 5x, how fast is the ship going right now). I'll see if Tom can post an example on the pirate zone.
Creating the pages required a little bit of kid-level research about each of the ports and and some creative brain time making up activities. So here is my thought on a task force - if we have enough interested parents, each persons could volunteer to 'research' a port and come up with a few kid-level facts, questions, activities & we would need a few volunteers to think of sea day activities (I have 2 sea day pages already). I would be happy to create the page layouts post .pdfs for people to download and print pre-cruise.
Any takers?

Goodmorning Everyone!
Long time no post! Hope everyone is well and healthy!
Happy belated Birthday
to all that we missed
(Lisa, Crash, Todd and family and all others!)
So much to catch up on. Thanks to my wife Johnna who has been keeping up with the thread.
We had a great time at WDW during the Easter break. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's new Vacation Club rooms. (1 bedroom) Very nicely appointed.
We had a chance meeting with Laura and Mark (Fairygodmother and Disneypilots) in Italy at EPCOT. It was a nice surprise.
I will post a RUGBY update shortly.
Thanks for everyones hard work to make this trip enjoyable for all!![]()
When I shared this with my ds, his eyes got really big, like "Seriously, I have to wear Mickey gloves to serve?"![]()
He gets gullibility from me!

Just have to share this story from our local news. It brought tears to my eyes when I watched it on the news. Karen Campanale said she pretty much kissed her rings goodbye & she couldn't believe how Disney went above & beyond the call of duty to return them. One of the many reasons we love Disney so much! Sometimes they really get it right!![]()
Disney workers recover rings mistakenly thrown away
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Walt Disney World seems to have worked its magic on a Massachusetts couple who accidentally threw away three platinum and diamond wedding rings.
While tidying up their villa as they prepared to leave the park late last week, Paul Campanale dumped a cardboard bowl, not knowing the container inside it held his wife Karen's engagement, wedding and five-year-anniversary rings.
Park employees warned the couple from Worcester, Mass., that recovering the jewelry was all but impossible. So on Friday, the Campanales and their two children loaded onto a Magical Express bus and headed to the airport.
Back at the Wilderness Lodge resort, executive housekeeper Drew Weaver realized that trash from the Campanales' villa hadn't reached the industrial-size compactor yet. He and seven other volunteers donned protective clothing, emptied a parking lot bin and waded through bag after bag of rubbish to find the rings. And they did.
Paul Campanale, 37, a chemist, received the good news on his cell phone and Weaver met the family to deliver the rings. Karen Campanale, 35, a teacher, said she was shocked by the find.
"That's not the first time we've gone through trash -- oh, no," Weaver said. "We don't always find things. Many times we come up empty. But we didn't this time."

Great minds get frustrated by Disney alike.

Wow, I don't know how I have missed this before, but our deck parties are definitely Cabo, Acapulco, and Aruba? Cabo and Acapulco I can understand, but why have a deck party in Aruba when we are docked until very late???? I guess that would be pirates night, since we are headed into the Caribbean at that point, but it does seem odd to put it on a night when people could choose to have dinner and drinks until fairly late in Aruba. I know you, Andrew had said something about fireworks, but we had fireworks on a day at sea on the Med repo last year . . .
Thanks for posting this, Andrew. I hope the night deck parties are right. I agree that it's odd for Aruba night since we're there so late.

WHO ME?![]()
ME?How I'd get dragged into it - I was just watching the fireworks

OK Now is a VERY GOOD TIME to borrow Capt Crash's I'M INNOCENT phrase!![]()
Its all Andrew's evil plan to make everyone think he's an English Gent. He can hang and his serve is an evil one - kindaup on you and then - WHOOSH!
You know, no one enjoys performing without an audience . . .
Thanks, Laura![]()
