WARNING!Ooo...
I just got this in the email today... it looks like SPAM PISH... intended to trick me into revealing my personal information and Discover card info. Only I don't have a Discover card. So - just as a WARNING to neighbors here - below is quoted the email and the REPLY EMAIL Address - to AVOID. I wonder how many other folks got this email - if any - here?
I took care of this on my last group cruise by calling everyone - dude.![]()
Cheers!
Jennifer
I'll just go around and ask everyone, "You seem familiar, have I threatened you before?" Oops! That would be the Captain's line!![]()

Cadburys is the best chocolate ever! Hersheys, well lets just say I do not like it, Is Starbucks connected to it.
haven't had it myself, but a friend was researching and found it was about $1500 per eye average,
Tom, my name on the cruise will be "Can I get you another drink"...,
I have heard of some having issues with dry eyes. I guess everyone is a bit different when it comes to that![]()

Hey without my glasses...just give me a dog and a cane.... My eyes get progressively worse since my 20's. (DR have always said it's due to computer use and close-up work.)
Ok pirates. I need some vacation ideas. I've got a timeshare week that expires soon and I'm trying to figure out where to use it.
How about somewhere near Stace? Maybe Arizona or the Grand Canyon. Maybe a trip to someplace in upstate NY with a lake or Niagara Falls.
There's a few island on the left coast of FL that look fun and relaxing too.
The Hershey company is the maker of Cadbury eggs and Cadbury bars over here.

Coke owns 400 brands in 200 countries, including Eight O'Clock Coffee, which IMHO is pretty carpy coffee, but better than Nescafe.
I'm up to my eyeballs in a Dasani sponsorship proposal right now...

You guys are so good at dispensing advice, thought I'd ask....Should I go ahead with laser eye surgery? It will cost £400 ($800) per eye, hurt like hell for a couple of days, unable to drive for a week, but once fully healed should have 20/20 visioni.e. no glasses/contact lenses required. From what the consultant said, I should also wait until after TOAL as you can't be in strong sunlight for a couple of months after treatment.
a) Anyone out there been through this?
b) Is it a good price? I would consider a trip abroad for a better price (recovery in WDW sounds good !)
TIA
Celestine
Quick update before I ketchup Brain scan normal !!! yea !!
So maybe I'm just turning into a real pirate... eye patch for my bum eye![]()

I had lasik back in May 2004. Mine was more expensive then (I forget the exact amount) but it included eye exams for the year and any repeat treatments needed. I also had a trip to Ca planned that year a few weeks later. All I was told was not to go swimming for at least a month after the surgery.
Now I had been wearing contacs for many years at that point and never had dry eye issues prior to surgery so that may have had an effect on my results![]()
No pain![]()
They gave me plenty of meds in advance for the first day-eye drops, valium and pain killers. I wound up sleeping the rest of the day with a pair of goggles on. The goggles are to keep you from accidentally rubbing your eyes. I did have slightly dry eyes at first, but drops helped that and eventually it subsided.
My eyes are still sensitive to bright sunlight so I always have at least 2 pairs of sun glasses (one for car and one for purse). Sun glasses are also good for keeping crows feet away too![]()
A friend of mine went to the same place and she was very uncomfortable the first nightBut she was fine after that.
Also, now one of my eyes was 20/20 and the other slightly less. They asked me if I wanted them to redo the one eye, but I decided against it. I'm over 40 and the slight undercorrection in one eye helps me avoid reading glasses for a while longer. Plus I never notice it unless I check by comparing eyes.
I would think that now is as good a time as any to get it done![]()
I love the freedom from contacs![]()
Good luck![]()

You've already received some opinions, but heres mine:
It was one of the best things I ever did & I would do it again in a heartbeat!
I had lasik surgery done in Quebec 5 years ago because they had state of the art equipment & the doctors in Canada were the ones teaching the doctors here in the states. Not to mention that it was a LOT cheaper. Currently they are offering a special of $299 per eye at the Lasik Vision Institute. My eyes were guaranteed for life as long as I saw an approved follow up Opthmalogist in the U.S., which I did.
Yes I am just starting to need reading glasses, but I'll tell you it is 100 times better than having to wear glasses 24/7. I had dry eye for about a year after, but it's much better now. They give you special drops for your eyes & it works great for the dryness. I still have sensitivity to light, but I just wear sunglasses & it's fine. I was never told to avoid bright sunlight, but just to wear dark glasses for a couple of weeks. My night vision has never been good & lasik certainly didn't help.

Thanks to my secret mickey (Crash) I have a name tag already![]()
But just as a reminder, I'm hard of hearing, so if you call my name (any name) I may not hear you, especially if my back is turned![]()
Ok pirates. I need some vacation ideas. I've got a timeshare week that expires soon and I'm trying to figure out where to use it. My 'home' resort is in Texas but I've never seen it. I bought the ownership off ebay and have banked and traded my weeks ever since.
I'm looking at the middle of June. DS has 1 week in between regular school and summer school. I haven't been succesful finding anything in CA or Hawaii. So I'm trying to figure out somewhere else to go to spend a week. Don't want to go to FL because going to WDW would be too expensive. Besides airfare to FL has been outrageous lately.
So where would you enjoy a relaxing week at?

Are we going for the maiden voyage of one of the ships![]()
or another August cruise![]()
