Bad news for me and the Disneyland weekend Meet and Greet.
I am not getting any better with this flu I have...or whatever it is...so we've canceled the trip. I just don't have the strength to do it. Besides the fact that I am still hacking away so badly that I'd probably be tossed out or mugged by the crowd. It just wouldn't be fair to anyone around me.

I'm so sorry I'm going to miss meeting the group that was going!!!:sad1:
Taking a while to shake mine as well, but it does happen, eventually. I virtually slept the day away last Sunday, but I think it helped. Hope you get a lot of rest this weekend:hug:

Vanity plate for today....I had to share this one, it's good! (On a black VW Passat)

BLK PRRL

Don't ya just love it?

And here's a cute story about my very good friend's dd9. They are driving to FL for Spring Break, so they decided to get a tune up on their car and make sure everything is in working order so they hopefully don't have any breakdowns. They were discussing this in front of her and she popped in with the funniest comment....she says (in her best Capt. Barbossa voice)... "Well, is not gettin' there that's the problem........It's gettin BAAACK!"

:lmao: :lmao: Virginia is the "vanity plate capital" because they are so cheap to get here;) Haven't seen that one yet though.
Love how the kids pull the lines out when you least expect it:thumbsup2

Hi everyone. I am back to work so don't have much time now. Am walking on my ankle better now and getting around but still sore - go to 2nd physical thepary visit tomorrow.

I feel so bad for everyone that has the flu - its really been going around here too. Once it grabs ya, its hard to get rid of it so :wizard: wishing everyone quick recoveries.

Question about dining - if you are currently scheduled for late dining but really want early dining; Is is possible that when we link early dining pirates that we can include those folks that want early but have late in our dining link? Would that then give them a better chance of getting early dining? Did that make sense? Just a random thought -

I am so jealous of everyone who is getting out for Spring Break next week, ours is not until the following week so one more week of work here! To those that have trips scheduled, have fun and stay safe!

Glad your foot is on the mend:hug:
Are you waitlisted for early dining ? If you are I'm pretty sure that by linking they will move you to the early dining:confused3

She didn’t know what they were, she shouted out to the next lady, ‘This man wants some laxatives, do you know what they are’, in front of all the people in the shop. She said to me, sorry I am only 17 just started this week. Anyway, the next lady didn’t know as well, so shouted out to another, and let’s say I was getting a bit embarrassed but everyone knowing.

I said, maybe ask the pharmacist and she did come to help.

Anyway, I think everyone in my town knows now, -and now the Dis,

Best not go there for anything else 'men' are embarrassed about buying.

She's 17. She'd know where those are.

Well that stinks Stacey! I'm not even going and I'm disappointed you'll miss the meet.

This is so funny. There was a knock at the door and it was the just-barely-5 yo boy next door. He wanted my 11 yo DD to come outside and play with him. :rotfl2: He think Megan is so cool and she plays very well with him. His older sister who is Megan's age is way too cool to play with her. :sad2:

That's too cute!
When we were in our 20's, the 4-5-y-o next door used to knock on our door and as if DH and I could play.

Both of mine play well with their younger cousins too (ages 5 and 6).
When I was younger, the kids in our neighborhood often hung out together regardless of age. Kick ball, running bases, red rover were fun regardless of the age. Don't see that in the neighborhood we live in now:confused3

My kids are the only ones I ever see playing outside around here. :sad2:

It's got to be hard to keep a straight face.

harder to look people in the face.

Pizza and Tater Tots. I guess the Taters are the veg group.

when ketchup became a vegetable, I gave up.

we never feel secure at work either. Just 1 bad call and the dreaded box!!!!!

Hope it works out. You have been thru enough.

    Some more nanas

Monica, hate to ask you more, but are there any car rentals around there. If I decide to rent at the airport, I'd like to know who is nearby to drop it off. Thanks.........

I'm interested in the car drop off too. TIA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERT

Hello All,

Please do not ask too much about my absence, lets just say thank you to Webmaster Regina, who is a loverly lady, and has sorted the thing out.

Sometimes a couple of small things, escalate due to circumstances being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and things that are not 'clear' on an ongoing thread, might be misunderstood by the people doing a fine job moderating us all.

Thank you for the high number of e.mails or PM's many from here, and hopefully you will all accept me back.

Whats happened this week, well we had two very large storms here very windy, I think the first was the storm from Florida with the tornadoes, that went through East USA with Snow storms over to us with more energy over the Atlantic.

I lost further weight down to 15.4 now thats 13% of me gone since December 31st.

Alice DD has passed a high number of 'top of the class' exams, with certificates for three, being the best, and had to have surgery on her teeth at the same time (nasty).

Stephen DS, has been in trouble at school, and needs a lot of love at this time, the thing is if your teachers think you are a naughty boy, you then get treated as one, and it circles down wards.

I had some 'results' on my ongoing tests with now two Diagnosis of my condition, so at least now, they know whats wrong with me they can try to solve it,

The funny thing is when the Consultant says can I bring in x number of medical students, and when I agree, he says to his 5/6 trainee doctors, now see this guy, he has two very rare conditionals that are text book / essay type stuff and you most likely will never ever see this again in your career!

Not sure if thats good or bad?

Anyway, nice to be back.

Andrew, so glad to see you. I was really worried about you.

Oooooo.... Lots of probes, etc.! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Don't worry, my DS10 may not live to see the trip at the rate he's going, fighting at school, mouthing off to DW.....

don't ya just love 10 ? can't wait for 11, 12, 13...

It was horrible, but he's made tremendous improvements since we pulled him. The reason we changed schools was the admin did nothing to help us. Fortunately, the district helped us get into a different school.

Kinda sounds like my dd's 4th grade class. DD was put with the less desirable teacher to begin with because we moved into that school one month into the school year. (don't ask it involved a pit bull though) There were many bahavior problems in the class. Then the teacher got pregnant and went out on maternity leave in February of that year. Since she wasn't going to return that year the school hired a long term substitute. Unfortunately it was someone barely qualified (to watch my dog even). The lady was a parent of one kid in the class and she didn't know how to teach or give homework or control the rowdy kids. After putting up with carp for two weeks i went to the principal and had them change dd's class. She did much better after that and ended the year on tract for 5th grade.

Schools are so dumb sometimes.

Don't worry, my DS10 may not live to see the trip at the rate he's going, fighting at school, mouthing off to DW.....

Yeah my dd may not live to see her 15th b-day in May even. (Don't even think of forcing me to bring her at this point.)

Happy Birthday Robert!!!!

Something to give us all a laugh, a bit at my expense.

As you know I have been trying to loose a lot of weight, and I have been cutting back on my food and that includes McDonalds, and also going out for long walks and jogs.

Now the change in diet has had a recent adverse effect on my constitution, and with the lack of Mc’d’S fries, I haven’t had anything to grease me up inside and had become a little constipated.

So I went to our local Pharmacy, for some laxatives, and asked the young girl on the till for some,

This is far worse :scared1: I briefly worked at an Eckerds drug store and we had a young asst mgr who in his perverted way, liked to put people on the spot. Whenever he saw a young guy buying protection, he would dash down to my register and call out over the intercom if they were on sale. Poor guys. You could see them shrinking on the spot.

Must be a small town, like mine. We get those "moments" every now and then.
Not to you...but pretty funny to me. :rotfl: I needed the laugh.

Stace, so sorry you are still sick. Everyone I know who is sick, just keeps rebounding. My DD called to say one of the boys has Bronchitis and Ear infection and the little one has strep. I won't be seeing them for a while......

Nightly news is going to unveil the secret theme park under way at WDW.I'll keep you all posted

Now that is funny too!

We spent the evening at DD's school at a fundraiser- Auction and such. Fortunately or unfortunately- depending on how you look at it- I won everything I bid on.
We ended up with Pizza lunch w/ Miranda's teacher and a friend, Miranda's name on the school marqee during her b-day month of Sept, notecards made by her 2nd grade class. Megan got a middle school pack w/ 2 school t-shirts and a gym bag, a big sundae kit w/bowls, ice cream fixins, coupon for ice cream cake, scooper and a really cool ice cream lazy susan etc., and the big thing of the night which was Megan having lunch with the mayor of our city! She got a really cool city gift pack and the mayor will come to her school and have lunch w/ her. That should make her feel very special. (Hope it works, she needs the ego boost).

Wonder if this is going to be the "Night park" that I read about before. It was suppose to be an interactive setting with animals similar to Discovery Cove. Prices were step at $200-300/ea.

I hate when the news teases you with their news stories and it turns out to be a 30 second blurb.
They mentioned Night Kingdom and when I googled it , yes they are throwing around the $200-$250 ticket. Last month when I was driving into Sarasota, I was catching up with my dis podcasts and they were talking about the 5th park . They said they heard it would be a villains type park. Who knows.:confused3
