Welcome home Liz. Congratulations on DDs success. You had great weather to come home to.

Julie, my first job in NYC was right off 5th on 44th st. Worked for the architects that did the Empire State Building. They staged the parade down all the side streets and all you could hear was the drums all day long. I loved it!!!(they hated it ) The office was so stodgy it brought some fun in for the day. :goodvibes Bad part was trying to get lunch that day and fight the crowds.

The parade ends at Fifith and 86th, and I'm a few blocks away on 88th, so I can hear the drums and bagpipes until fairly late in the night as people get back to their buses, head to the bars, etc. I like the chaos, personally, although a friend of mine from Dublin noted that in Ireland the day is an actual religious holiday and not celebrated AT ALL as we do here . . .

It looks like you all had a blast at your DL meet! Thanks for sharing all the pictures:goodvibes :goodvibes

Congrats to our crew that got tagged!

I had my 25yr reunion this weekend, it was great seeing so many I have lost touch with. We had 114 in my class and there were 23 of us there, I wish more would have come.

Happy St. Patrick's Day:)

Wow 114!!!! We had over 1000. Good thing about small classes is you know everyone. In my HS, I can look thru the yearbook and not have ever met half the students. Glad you had a good time. Well off to :surfweb:

Hi Tom -- thanks again:thanks: for the pirate zone newsletter . . . I will only point out that under "sign up for beer, wine, martini, etc., tasting" it should definitely NOT suggest that we will be having a ladylike tea . . . it would take all the fun out of it!:goodvibes :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Happy St Paddy's to all! Our big parade was yesterday in Southie...fun had by all!I get today off from one of my jobs...whoohooo!

Debi your pups are adorable!

Congrats to pirates with new tags..I guess today is a good day to be green with envy! LOL

Thanks again for the DL meet photos!

Happy 5 months til we commandere the magic!!!

Chrissie

Very different celebration here in America....

So Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.

CAUTION: ACTUAL CRUISE-RELATE POST

I know shocking, isn't it?

1. Has anyone besides Andrew been following the "new dining rotaion" thread? I've given up trying to figure it out - and my only real care about it is when we should book Palo dinner. So here is what I'm thinking....the night we are in PV the 'all aboard' time is pretty late, so that night should be a normal rotation dining night (i.e., no formal, semi, pirate) AND those of us on the 1 pm zip line will be cutting it really close to make it back and be presentable for early dining...SO, I'm thinking that late-ish Palo on PV night might be a good idea. The kids can eat burgers and pizza & go to the lab.

B. Is anyone else like me and hoard travel shampoo, etc. from resorts & cruises? If so, and you have some spare H2O products from WDW or DCL, would you be willing to share some & mail it to me? (I'll pay for shipping and buy you a drink on the cruise). We haven't stayed on property or cruised since Disney started leaving H2O products in the room. I'd really like to try the shampoo & condition before we go because if it doesn't freak my hair out, it would save me from packing 2 weeks worth of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. I just need to try the stuff first or risk sportin' a 2-ft. wide white girl 'fro for 2 weeks.

I have shampoo/conditioner, shampoo, conditioner,shower gel,facial and bath soap.

What do you need?

There is a certain cruel comedic picture value in that

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was thinking the same thing when I read it. Good job Tom, but I'm sure this crowd will not be very ladylike during the beer/wine/etc. tasting...not even the wenches. Don't you just love copy and paste.:goodvibes I do a fair amount of proof reading for my job and you can tell when folks have copied from some other document and it just doesn't make sense.

Can you say "cut paste error"

But all the fine wenches will be lady like at all times on this cruise.....

Guess I should have started before 4 pm yesterday on writing....

I promise that all future newsletters will be replete with errors, made up facts, and other errata:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Glad to see its being read!

Usually I have 3 or 4 editors that catch those for me... but I was running behind, didn't send it to them... excuses, excuses..... :lmao: :lmao:

Another variation would be switching Semi-formal night with Tropical night since they have that in the Caribbean on the WB.

M...I have some of the H2O shampoo and conditioner leftover from our last cruise. I'd be happy to send some to you....I noticed Chrissie responded as well, but just thought I'd let you know that I can also help you out.

We came home with several extra bottles and break it out every once in a while as a little cruise ship reminder. We call it our "ship-poo".

You'll probably really like it....I thought it worked great! Smells great too.

:sad2: Just noticed that we could potentially have our first formal night on the second night of the cruise, then the next one will not occur for 12 more days. Lets see a pound a day X 12 :scared1: Better order the tux pants one size bigger and use a couple of safety pins for the first night. :lmao:
