I am so sorry about your foot. That is so frustrating to work so hard and have something pulled away through no fault of your own.
That is so sad about your neighbor. Life can change so quickly. I am sitting here waiting on a biopsy results and I am sure they will be fine but I was thinking about all the people who get the call that all is not well. Life is so fragile sometimes.



My TA aplogized profusely that I had to tell her and she did not know. She is quite a professional and it really bugged her that she was not notified by DCL. I was kind of mad that she did not even notify me when the extra $100.00 charge came up for the Panama Canal. Now I am thinking she did not even get notified.

Thank goodness for the DIS!!!!

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Not bad for a free church directory photo. I would have liked to get additional copies but OMG you should have seen what Olan Mills wanted for them. (Let's just say they made Shutters look like a bargain in comparison.) With this trip pending, i don't have a problem scanning extra copies for the family onto photo paper.

I feel like we're outcasts. Kind of like sitting at the small table for Thanksgiving. It'll come soon enough... only about 2-1/2 months till deadline.

Yeah i haven't pulled that bank job yet either. (or maybe a liquor store would be more profitable with this group. )

Hopefully my mom or sis will hit it big in Vegas two weeks from now. (and share the wealth)

BTW...Todd...my DSis will be out there on Sunday 16th. (she's by herself for one day. Besides laying by the pool, What's a good show she might catch and how do peeps get the best $$$'s for tickets usually?)

And yes she's over 21..... (already warned her about that one Cirque show.)

Good Afternoon! We got 10" of s***! All the schools are closed and I brought dd with me to work. Thank goodness for 4X4 drive. I am hoping that my neighbor across the street with the big auger snow blower takes pity on me and does my sidewalks. Hoping that the roads are cleared by the time to go.

Needless to say I hate s***! This has really been a winter.

Ok fess up time!

From December 31st to last week I lost 2 stone, about 4 Ilbs a week, last week I did 'extra' exercise. walked a lot more, keep my diet on and was very good, and put ON a Ilb, just the one, but put it on, when I expected it to be my best week ever and I have had to pay a fine.

Shopping/math alert

I guess the shopping powers of some of the wenches on this thread have rubbed off on Linda. She went to Kohl's today, and was looking at the luggage. They had a Buy One Get One Free sign and they also had a sale sign by the rolling garment bags. They were originally $99 each, but were on sale for $50. She asked a salesperson if they were also BOGO free. He asked a manager who said that the BOGO sale ended yesterday and they missed taking down the signs. So she offered her the opportunity to buy two of them for $50. Of course she took them. And she had a 15% off coupon too, so she got the 2 garment bags for $42.50 instead of $198. That's a 78% savings!

I agree -- I hate it too. We got a dusting last night and it slowed traffic down tremendously again. Although last night's snow has mostly melted, it's suppossed to snow again this afternoon -- just a dusting but enough to slow down rush hour for the second time today. You'd think that Colorado drivers could figure out how to drive in it. We haven't had enough this winter for the kids to have a day off, but it's still quite annoying as I don't enjoy the one to two hour commutes when it snows! I much preferred this past weekend when it was 73 degrees and sunny! I'm ready for Spring!

Congrats! Do you have a penalty system for yourself -- that's too funny!

I keep telling myself I'm going to start working out more -- next week. I really need to just start, but every weekend I tend to find a new excuse such as the weather or a flare-up of my gout. Two years ago, I lost about 35 pounds before our cruise and have been able to keep all but about 12 to 15 of it off. I just want to lose those 15 pounds, but can't seem to motivate myself to begin exercising. I'm doing the diet, but it's not enough by itself.

Good afternoon. I have a problem and could use a little help, my stress level is maxed with wedding planning and now this. My fiance was told that he is losing his job because they are "restructuring" the sales department. They told all the sales team that they would have to apply and interview for this newly restructured position. 25 people losing their jobs, restructured to 12 positions.

Chris was the first they interviewed last week. Chris just called and found out that another sales team received the interview questions and were able to prepare. To me that is an unfair advantage to the rest of the people and other teams and kind of like favortism. In the government this would be a big problem and would have to go to the Solicitors Office to review, but not sure how it is in the Private Sector. What should Chris do, go to HR? Go to his boss? He is afraid that if he goes to HR that it will lesson his chance of getting the job and be seen as the trouble maker. I told him to do it after he finds out next week who gets the job and he said then it would look like he was mad that he didn't get the job and is making stuff up. They don't have any physical evidence, just hear say. HELP!!
