Love the trip report Monica.

I wanna go on vacation!! We usually go this time of year & this stay at home stuff is killing me!

OK that and I'd much rather be many, many places besides here.

Me! Me! Pick me!

I say all this - mostly because I know no one can see my eyes now... and when next we meet (in person) it will be a kind of "15+ days of passing one another thing" all over the place on the ship and ashore in a few months. So by then all this specific conversation tonite will be mostly forgotten (most likely) as everyone is involved with the fun of the voyage. We'll be swapping warm knowing smiles - handshakes - and quiet coversations as time permits - So, for now I feel as if I'm on new ground as I write some of this - but this has been what I've been thinking and feeling... and experiencing. I think with most folks I SEE face to face I won't talk about any of this except with Alicia. I think this experience is teaching me to embrace our existance and conduct with a whole new perspective. Know what I mean? I think I'm rambling again...

At any rate - I wanted to express thanks for everyones helpful remarks. Some have said things I was feeling but NOT recognizing or understanding. I have gained some focus and renewed strength from everyones' comments.... Thank You... sincerely.[/COLOR]

I've gotten through some pretty ugly times in my life by jumping out into cyberspace and having people catch me. I think most of us come to this thread for escape, but sometimes life follows you and that is OK. If we can help just a little bit, keep sharing your thoughts, Crash.

No...thank you. Deanna's been so diligent in checking every morning and was great in sending me a text message this morning when she saw they were released. I've never been so happy for a 6AM text message on my phone and it simply said "Skybus NOW!". We scored $10 tickets too. Thanks again Deanna.

I love Wednesdays. My cleaning lady speaks a little English and I speak a little Spanish so we teach each other every week. It has reminded me that I actaully do remember my middle school Spanish.

I did the worst possible thing: I researched my Mohs surgery on the internet.
Scared myself silly. I saw a case study that showed the exact spot and seemingly same size I had so I thought it would be a good one to see. WRONG!! The poor man had a gaping hole all the way through his nose. I called the nurse and asked if that was what I should prepare myself for. She was pretty appalled I had even thought that. She said to definitely expect stitches though. That I can deal with- gaping holes- not so much!

My wife, you would never know she had Mohs on her nose, up towards eye. Apparently its ugly while they do it, but then a few stitches (not of the Lilo variety) and she barely has a scar (only visible when tanned and you hold her up to the light at the right angle).

Think of the alternative!!!!

Coral....I agree about not researching surgery on the internet. They are only going to show the most extreme cases. My dad had this surgery on his nose as well, and you can not tell at all. Now, he did say that he no longer has feeling on that small portion of his nose, but that is very minor if you ask me. And again, I don't even think that is typical.
