We stayed off-property when just Jay and I went with another couple a few years ago. We were just across the street from the main entrance and it was basically just as close as being on property. But I LOVE having either a theme park view or DTD view at the Grand Californian. So wonderful to sit and look out at all the lights at night, and to see it all clean and shiny and quiet in the mornings.

We're trying the Park View Inn - sounds like it may be the place you stayed.

The main simialarity is these were boys. They apparantly do significantly worse than girls. The Dr's and nurses were relieved when I showed up at 20 weeks (barely even showing) in premature labor that I was having a girl. When Megan was born at 24 she did well except for a couple hiccups. The boys even born later gestationally when we were in the NICu did not fare very well. :guilty:

Very, very true . . . we outlive them, too, for all their apparent strength . . . I noticed when I was writing about this issues that they had all been boys.

I had another friend who had a preemie boy, and he survived, but with cognitive and hearing impairments.

You are so lucky with your daughter, Coral.

Edited to add: Doesn't that remind anyone of the Don Knotts movie where he turned into a fish? Gosh - what was it called?

Mr. Limpett or something like that. I know, 5 people have probably already answered. I playing catch up. I WAS in the closet again!

I gave up trying to make my Mom behave years ago! She ever tell you guys about her Xena Warrior Princess impression?

I'm trying to have fun planning the wedding, it's a whole lot easier, when I just think about it being a big party, instead of a wedding!

Oh for crying in a bucket!! Go away!!!! This is MY SPACE. :lmao:
You kids have your My Space.

No Xena on the cruise....they don't have soup ladles.

I think my Mom is already inviting every Dis'er within a 100 mile radius of the wedding! We're having it here, in Ohio, but someone who really really loves me got us a Honeymoon on The Magic, to the Mexican Riviera, with a stop in DL after!

The Xena thing, is Priceless. I should get it on video sometime.

I used to love you. Til you started spilling all my secrets!

We'd love to have you guys there! We figure the more the merrier. And obviously just show up in your attire for the day. We'll accept beach wear, pirate garb...heck, i guess we'd even let the guys in thongs, pumps, and tiaras show up. Imagine those wedding pictures!:scared1:

Sounds like a plan! :dance3:

:cool1: :cool1: :dance3: :dance3:

DOING THE DOCUMENT DANCE!!!!!!!

We got our docs for the March Mini-Meet at Disneyland!!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

And I had this great plan that went the way of the Charmin dress...or the brick.

My plan was to use our Magic Morning early entry into Fantasyland one morning...do what we could there, and then head toward Tomorrowland just before park opening so that we could be near the front of the line for the Nemo ride.
HA! Curses, foiled again. The park OPENS at 8:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. I KNOW that none of us will be out of bed and ready to hit the park by 7:00 am. No way. I have teenagers who don't like to get up before noon. :sad2: :sad2:

:dance3: Dancing with you. We got our docs last night too.

No probs. Back in the good old days of having to get up and get in line for the Fastasmic Dessert Buffer, my DW once got out of bed at 4am and was back in the room before breakfast - :cool1:

I remember those days. Which is why I never did the dessert buffet until they switched to taking phone reservations.

I'm thinking of doing the Electrical Parade premium seating. We never have a problem getting a great seat for EP, but the premium seating with a glass of wine and some cheese and fruit sounds fantastic.

Be very cautious with this one. I had a horrible experience with then and will never stay there and always caution other people not to.

A few years ago, I had a reservation with them but had to cancel. The reservation and the cancellation were both done online. The cancellation was about 10 days prior to arrival, well within their 48 hr policy. I was shocked to see a charge for 2 nights on my next credit card statement. Upon calling Park Vue I was told that I was a no show and therefore they charged me for 1 night per their policy. They could never explain why I was charged the 2nd night. When I explained that I had cancelled and even had the cancellation number, they said I had to take it up with the reservation agency. When I called the resevation agency, they said that since Park Vue charged me, I had to take it up with them. After multiple calls to the management at Park Vue and the management at the agency, the agency finally agreed to issue me a check for the amount charged by Park Vue and pursue repayment themselves.

Every time I spoke with anyone at Park Vue, I was treated as if I was a criminal trying to rip them off. Horrible, non existent customer service. I've even read other reports of folks cancelling and still being charged. For your sake, I sure hope things have improved.

Well, I didn't make it to the Death By Chocolate wine tasting, but I did go to Napa today. And I got to have chocolate with my wine! While tasting some of my favorites, some new releases and some barrel tastings at V Sattui, I got to munch on brownies. They had some out at the winery. YUM! Came home with a mixed case, a few whites but mostly reds. And put a deposit on a case of Zin scheduled for a future release in approximately 10 months.

Had lunch at a diner that was featured on Diners, Drive In and Dives on Food Network. Had a yummy Ahi Tuna Burger and an ok glass of Merlot.

So true:hug: :flower3:

Monica, sounds like you made out great in Napa:goodvibes

I was thinking about this, too. We'd done the dessert buffet on the balcony for Fantasmic a couple of times and I don't think I could get used to the way they've changed it.
Doing this for EP sounds like fun. Just not sure I want to spend the $$ for all 3 of us.
