Sorry for all the ground hog but..................I had no internet this morning. Outage by Comcast!!!! I never had this trouble with dial-up.

If so, then we're aliens together. And I'm with you, I DO like chocolate cake and brownies. Just not chocolate candy.
So how come I'm so "fluffy"?? (pass the bowl of mashed potatoes smothered in butter, please )

When they present you with a cake with those yummy white and chocolate ships.....save them for me.

OK gave the girls some air time - here's a picture of my Stinky DS - we tease him by saying this is the "only blonde" that will love him at his worst!

He's all scruffy because I "told" him that he needed to shave and that he'd never connect his beard to his sideburns - which he's desperately trying to show up dad.

Thanks everyone! The interview went well and I did tell them that I had to have the last two weeks of August off - no negotiation on that front. The person I interviewed wtih has several more this week and then goes on vacation to Florida next week so it will be at least a week and a half before I hear anything from them. My dd is getting married at the National Cathedral in D.C. on 4/19 at 10.00 Am.. then the reception is at the 701 Restaurant.... 701 Pennsylvania Ave..at Noon..

Ok this is the clincher.. I thought and please tell me if I am wrong I could get a cocktail dress.. instead of a gown...but NOOOOOOOOOOOO.. she wants me to get a gown.. and it has to be champagne.. The past two days she has been sending links on the dress I should get.. below are two she is determine for me to get.. Am I wrong to think I could get a cocktail dress instead ?????????? and all I kept thinking I do not think champagne goes with me........lol...

I vote for the more expensive one...number two with the little jacket. I have been to lots of wedddings and anything goes now!!! Long or short...time of day does not matter. The most important thing to remember is that it is her special day!!! You will look great in anything ...it is how she wants you to look is what is important. She has a vision of how she wants you to look.

LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Fern Creek High School and Fern Creek Elementary schools are on lockdown, after a student reported seeing somone with a gun early Wednesday morning. LMPD Chief of Staff Troy Riggs tells 84WHAS that they cannot confirm that yet, but are taking no chances and have locked down both schools as a precaution while officers go room to room searching for a possible suspect. No one has been injured, and Riggs says while he understands parents may be upset, he is urging them to "stand by" and not go to the school.

OMG!!!! I hope everything is okay. Maybe it is just someone not wanting to take a test!!! That happens here too!!! I am glad the authorites are taking it serious.

No no no and no Lime green either....

I believe last we left it....
1) i wasn't supposed to do everything
2) people wanted both adult and child sizes
3) i looked around the internet anyway (against rule #1) and found that those cheaper bands appear to be the typical adult sized ones (ie not really small but probably ok for kids 6-8 ish and up; i can't judge my kid was always over 100% for growth)
4) Looks like we can get those pre-made ones with pirate sayings really cheap (like .25-.30 per band) if we go with the one sized ones.
5) to get multiple sizes we have to custom order which adds to the price (almost triples it) However, then we could get date of the cruise on one side and our own saying on it.
Hope you get it. My dh has been stressed lately at work too....

105/90/75 days booking.​

Has anyone else had this scary thought, after the Westbound cruisers problems booking online at DCL.

We will book the same night as the 08/17/2008 Wonder four night trip. Now I am not sure if this has ever happened before, but two cruises both booking the same night isnt good?

Wonder if DCL have thought of that, it would be sensible to move one by a day?

I vote for our cruise doing it on Saturday night!!!

Ok, you motivated me (scary thought, I know).

Just sent e-mail to the whole crew I e-mailed over the $100 tax increase pointing out the 1/31/07 and 2/10/08 (westbound) system failures and the impending Capt. Jack cruise coupled with the 8/17 Wonder (thanks for pointing that out).

I was already to send a certified letter to the Tom of DCL but you beat me to it. At least I got a letter last time from his assistant.

Does this mean we can put in a request to be linked, but still have a separate table? For us that would be idea, because I would LOVE to be near everyone, but the family also likes to dine alone & just be ourselves i.e. eat with our hands, drool, spit, etc.! Okay J/K, but really not to be anti-social, but we do like to just dine as a family. :

This way all the late diners will be will be together in the same restaurant and all the early diners will be in the same restaurant. We are trying for 6:00 for the early and 8:00 for the late!!!

Hate to tell you but this happens with all kids - dd20 is walking out door this morning for a spa appt - I ask - have you brushed your teeth - she'll be all up into your face - no - mumble, mumble mumble, that's all you ever check up on. God I wish this girl would get a boyfriend!



M - I think its kids - although ds - is a fanatic about having his teeth pearly white - constantly leaves his flossing and finger gloves around - sits and watches tv while finger brushing his teeth with some finger gloves that have toothpaste on it. From one extremem to the other. Course this is the one that had braces on too.






apparently he was taking care of his sick mom and dad for a long time. I missed the first 5 minutes of it but it seems that he probably didn't take time to take care of himself. So he had heard of some type of homeopathic remedy where he mixed water and collidial silver and drank it for a long time. Then he recalls that his dad would put it on cuts and scratches - he broke out in some kind of skin condition - due to stress so he started putting it on his face and entire body to take care of the skin rash and the silver basically tattooed his whole body inside and out. According to Dr Oz, his insides and outside are all "blue" technically he was more a violet but he really was blue. And he had a fiancee. Seemed like a very nice man. It happened gradually and he apparently never went out during the daylight and saw no one for long periods of time - so it wasn't until he was too far blue that a friend noticed and informed him. He was so used to seeing himself in the mirror - he never noticed.

Just got DS a Toothtunes last night. The deal was he had to promise to bursh every morning and night otherwise I'd take it away. It's a Hannah Montanah one.......DS has his first celebrity crush...

The only problem with using the pack and adding to it is that the harnass has a special device for when load are going downhill (breaching strap) so that the load wouldn't press on the dog.

I'd actually be mor worried in the i don't see Weimeraners as a hauling breed. (not that yours isn't strong) but i don't think they are built for it. (large solid paws and stronger back quarters; think built like a tank)

I have seen some other breeds with carts as a novelty but wouldn't haul my kids around with them either.

Thanks for the site. I've been pondering using the pack harness or getting a regular harness. I think I'll give them a call. I also noticed they make shafts and trees for wagons - might save me my engineering problem.

The Weim is large enough to cart with - at least this one is. And he'll be pulling lighter loads, no freight, or weight pulling. As part of the conditioning program for pointer it's common for a trainer to put them into a Roading Harness, tie them off to a horse (or ATV) and have them pull. I guess no one thinks to put all the pulling talent to practical use.

We just sent in our request for the tour a couple weeks ago. The 1PM tour was full, so we're on the 2PM tour. Our kids are DS8, DD8, and DS 11.

Oh, and be sure to pack your earplugs. DW is afraid of heights and is a screamer!

We said 2 or 12 would be fine. So, we'll see where we get put.

I'm not sure, but won't you need to wear a dress with sleeves for the National Cathedral
They are both beautiful and would look great on you
My Mom wore a cocktail dress for my afternoon wedding, but I was not too concerned about what others were wearing
Since you are the bride's mother (position of honor ) you will be fine wearing a formal dress. Maybe buy one of the formal dresses (good for cruise anyway as Julie pointed out ) and have a cocktail dress in reserve in case she relaxes prior to the wedding and decides it isn't that important

Ok, my opinion may not count, never been married and have never been mother of the bride.....but the weddings I've been to, I've never seen the MOB in a gown?? Not even at the evening wedding I went to, which is where I would expect to see more gowns??

Maybe that's why I am having trouble finding something appropriate. The last two weddings we went to, the brides rode in on A. A Horse and B. A Bull. Yes...a real bull. This IS the wild west, afterall.
Point being, we don't dress up here.

Fern Creek high school put on lockdown after reports of gun on campus

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP/WHAS11) -- Parents are picking up students at a Louisville school that was locked down after a student told officials she thought she saw someone with a gun on campus.

Fern Creek Traditional High School was locked down about 8 a.m. EST on Wednesday.

Jefferson County Public Schools director Maurice Risner says the building has been secured and no gun was found.

Parents were allowed to begin picking up students shortly after noon.

A nearby elementary school also placed on lockdown as a precaution. Fern Creek elementary school students remained on busses in the Kroger parking lot on Bardstown Road. Those students who were not picked up there were then taken to Farmer elementary school.

The lockdown comes after a spate of gun attacks in U.S. schools and universities. The most recent happened last week when a gunman killed five people before committing suicide at Northern Illinois University. Earlier this month, a woman shot two fellow students to death before committing suicide at a Louisiana technical college and a 17-year-old is accused of shooting and critically wounding a fellow student in Memphis, Tenn., during a high school gym class.

My son's middle school had a lockdown one day because a kid told his teacher that he saw someone on campus in a batman costume.

Batman was never found. But I guess it was good "real" practice.
