Ok, you motivated me (scary thought, I know).

Just sent e-mail to the whole crew I e-mailed over the $100 tax increase pointing out the 1/31/07 and 2/10/08 (westbound) system failures and the impending Capt. Jack cruise coupled with the 8/17 Wonder (thanks for pointing that out).

Tom, I hope you always manage to work in that you are a LAWYER when you write these emails . . .

105/90/75 days booking.​

Has anyone else had this scary thought, after the Westbound cruisers problems booking online at DCL.

We will book the same night as the 08/17/2008 Wonder four night trip. Now I am not sure if this has ever happened before, but two cruises both booking the same night isnt good?

Wonder if DCL have thought of that, it would be sensible to move one by a day?

Leave it to you Andrew to figure that out. After all, didn't you become buddies with them while posting on their thread in error???

Well that was fast, hope the computers that night are as fast, it would be logical that with so many repeat cruisers on this one (2005:- 1700+) and a clash with the Wonder cruise that night, we all know whats going to happen.

The servers will not have a capacity to cope and we will all be looking at MickeyFish for hours.

Does this mean we can put in a request to be linked, but still have a separate table? For us that would be idea, because I would LOVE to be near everyone, but the family also likes to dine alone & just be ourselves i.e. eat with our hands, drool, spit, etc.! Okay J/K, but really not to be anti-social, but we do like to just dine as a family.

At our family conference yesterday - we decided on zip lining at PV. I sent in our request today - we'll see what time we get.

Anyway, the boys watched the video from the site - and declared it as - "Yeah, I want to do THAT!"

Apparently, it made an impression. Here's what dad found in their room this evening...

Ladies..

Please help me here.. This is the scenario

My dd is getting married at the National Cathedral in D.C. on 4/19 at 10.00 Am.. then the reception is at the 701 Restaurant.... 701 Pennsylvania Ave..at Noon..

Ok this is the clincher.. I thought and please tell me if I am wrong I could get a cocktail dress.. instead of a gown...but NOOOOOOOOOOOO.. she wants me to get a gown.. and it has to be champagne.. The past two days she has been sending links on the dress I should get.. below are two she is determine for me to get.. Am I wrong to think I could get a cocktail dress instead ?????????? and all I kept thinking I do not think champagne goes with me........lol...

I agree with other opinions here, that ultimately you have decide what's right for you. Maybe you could look around for a cocktail dress that would be a good compromise?

EDITEDI love both dresses However, i do agree they they are way formal. (well that and cost almost more than i paid for my own wedding gown.)

I think you would be more comfortable with a shorter gown... But i love the champagne color.

(My own mother didn't even ask my opinion and just showed in her "cookie monster blue dress" UGGGG but then she bought something nice for my sis's wedding and had her hair and makeup done. Am i bitter? yep still hurts)

My mother wore the same hideous blue gown to my wedding that she wore to my brother's wedding 10 years earlier. Plus she was dating this man & she insisted he be in all our family pictures from my wedding. Well needless to say they broke up shortly after & when my sister was going through her things after she passed away, she found pictures from my wedding & my mother had put white out all over that man's face in every picture. We just had to laugh, because...well that was just my mother.

LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Fern Creek High School and Fern Creek Elementary schools are on lockdown, after a student reported seeing somone with a gun early Wednesday morning. LMPD Chief of Staff Troy Riggs tells 84WHAS that they cannot confirm that yet, but are taking no chances and have locked down both schools as a precaution while officers go room to room searching for a possible suspect. No one has been injured, and Riggs says while he understands parents may be upset, he is urging them to "stand by" and not go to the school.

Wow that is so scary! What a thing to have to worry about! Thank goodness for cell phones!

We're off to the school soon, for a meeting about the oldest one's IEP. His 3rd grade teacher, who was wonderful, identified an issue and requested testing about this time last year. They finally got around to getting everything together; they say he has issues in Language Arts (which we already knew). Today, we'll find out what his plan is.

Thanks for doing that Tom, but their response was ridiculous. There are outside forces that are beyone their control? Really? They can't stagger the times or come up with some kind of solution? They can build theme parks & ships, but they can't come up with a suitable computer program?
